  9. One widely available species in our woodlands right now is the common persimmon. Pick the real ripe mushy orange ones from the tree or pick them off the ground. They are delicious eaten fresh, used in cooking or made into wine. But hurry though, or the Deer will beat you to them! Dave S

  16. Their internal clocks, weather and a few other factors dictate when they move, feed, breed ect.. I would not check my cameras daily. I think you''ll force them to change locations before you get them to change feeding and bedding times. Don't force your hand on them. You may just be setting yourself up for failure. I alsways say (feeding times ect ect) let the deer dictate when to hunt them, not the other way around! Dave S

  18. Culling your herd for QDM purposes, must be done wisely. You'll be happy with whatever you choose. They are all worthy of putting in the freezer though. post us up some more pics! Dave S
