    My first AR

Well brother's and sister's after reading your responses on another thread, I made a move on my first AR ever. I went with the Ruger AR 556. It is SWEET! I've done made some noise with it. Thanks to all who steered me in this direction! Dave

    AR 15

Ok got it. "Gas Piston" or "Direct Impingement". This is getting a tad complicated with so much candy to choose from!   Dave

I'm reading about things called "Gas Impingement" and "Direct Impingement". I'm trying to find an explanation of these.   Dave

  9. Bi-pods, Tri-pods and Mono-pods are all legal to use.   Dave
  10. It's supposed to run today too. Take Fort Campbell Blvd toward Ft. Campbell. Pass walmart on the left, go under the overpass (374) and it's at the National Guard Armory there on the right. I'm not for sure, but I heard it cost $5.00 to get in. I hope this helps you out.   Dave

    Flat Head

Heck you said "flathead", dang, thought we was onto some catfishing! Darn...   Dave
  12. It was an awesome morning.   Dave
  13. Went to the woods yesterday with my Son for a morning Bow Hunt and the following pictures were taken; Bow hanging in tree... Selfie....about five minutes before deer walks with 10 yards of my Son's stand. Deer was so close, he couldn't draw his bow because the stabilizer kept hitting his stand. He was about 20 foot up a tree and had to shoot near straight down. He wound up having to lean sideways out of his stand to get a shot. 6 minutes after selfie....Meat on the ground! Congrats Son...Awesome deer! Memories made... This deer will be fine eating for sure. Congrats to my Son Rob for his first bow kill (besides squirrels) of the season. The heats on this old man now! Dave
  14. AH...that's what that spot looks like from the nose bleed section! J/K...nice view. Dave
  15. Very nice indeed!   Dave
  16. My wife's pain management Doctor has to write the prescriptions one at a time. We have to pay a 30.00 co-pay for each monthly prescription as she must go in and physically see the doctor. Wow...   Dave
  17. I am a very experienced bow hunter, and I have hit deer in the heart and even double lunged them, and had to blood trail them up to 200 yards. What is "typical" to the average hunter? Just saying. Shoot a deer in a sub division, it dies in someone else's yard....you give me a bad name as a "hunter"...think it out....   Dave
  18. That's not good advice for someone living in a sub-division. Any and every deer shot with a broadhead has to be blood trailed. Any other ideas ? Apparently you aren't very experienced at bow hunting....just saying.   Dave
  19. Being a Volunteer With the USFWS (United States Fish and Wildlife Service), Why would you want to shoot a deer in a Sub division? What kind of image do you think you would leave with his/your neighbor if that deer dropped in someone else's yard. Think long and hard about this! What image would you leave with the community? I have never seen a deer drop "where he stood" when hit with an arrow. You might be opening yourself up for a whole bunch of crap. Don't do it!   Dave
  20. Titan's fans....we're in deep doo doo!   Dave
  21. Coyote or maybe deer scat. Both animals stomachs react alike when eating Persimmons. Deer droppings lose the "pellet" shape and gets soft and forms stools as in the picture due to the persimmon. Odds are, it's coyote though.   Dave
  22. RIP Rob!! Prayers to the family.   Dave
  23. Folks, if this was me parading in front of a school, I'd done been locked up! Law is scared of that boy now! I wish he would leave my 2A rights alone!   Dave
  24. We'll see Dave. It's only a matter of time before he pulls his gun on the wrong person and they shove it where the sun don't shine, or shoots him one.   Dave
