2.
I can't imagine having to live with something like this for the rest of my life.
That would be a heck of a thing to have to deal with! Prayers go out to all involved! Dave S
3. "The father didn't realize there was a bullet in the chamber". I declare....The man shouldn't be allowed to ever own a firearm again! Dave S
4.
Dave I think you are leaving out a couple of critical things that can have a big impact on who was really at fault in Martin's death... 1. Zimmerman did nothing illegal, as far as I can tell, in initially following Martin no matter what the 911 operator told him to do or not do and Zimmerman had as much right to "be there" as anyone else. 2. And this is where things seem most unclear, it appears that Zimmerman had stopped following Martin and was either headed back to his vehicle or even getting into his vehicle and it was then that Martin, according to some, began the physical altercation. Looking at it from the Martin's side...if Zimmerman really was "disengaging" then any "threat" Martin might have felt, legitimately or otherwise, was gone and he should also have disengaged just like any of us who feel threatened, pull our weapon and the bad guy runs away. We don't have the right to shoot at that point and Martin didn't have to right to start pounding on Zimmerman. Now, I'll admit...I'm going from memory here so if could be I have some of the "facts" wrong. Also, I think there will be a lot of facts to come out that we simply don't have. All I'm sure of right now is that I haven't seen enough verifiable facts to cause me to believe that Zimmerman is guilty of anything other than trying to protect his neighborhood.
Well, I may have forgotten some too. All I know is, someone took an a$$ whoop'n and someone got shot. I have my own opinions as well as you. I do however feel for Zman, as TM parents are going to pursue him relentlessly in civil court. Zman will die if sent to prison. I feel for all involved. I, me alone, personaly feel this whole thing could have been prevented had Zman stayed in his truck and waited on the police. I can't wait for the trial!!! Dave S
5. Folks I can only judge based on known facts... A 17 year old was walking through a neighborhood he had full right to be in. Zman was in a truck and wanted to follow TM and 911 said "we don't need you to do that". Zman did it anyways. Some kind of way he got his *** handed to him, and shot/killed a 17 year old kid over it. I know, I know...all ya'll gonna say Zman shot TM in self defense. Well folks, maybe, just maybe..TM beat the P*** out of Zman in self defense....ever think of that? Zman will have his day in court and so will TM's parents. Good luck Zman! Dave S
6. I had Magic Jack right after it first came out. It crashed and destroyed our PC. NEVER AGAIN! Dave S

Pearl Harbor
Dave, not meaning to denigrate your unc or anything, but something's out of whack there. The Sunfish wasn't built/launched from California until May of 1942, commissioned in July, and arrived at Pearl in Nov. of '42. Maybe he was on a different sub at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack and sort of blended the stories or something. - OS
He was, my bad. I'm trying to contact my aunt to find out the sub he was on at pearl. Will post it as soon as I find out. He talked so much about the Sunfish it's possible he or I mixed the names. I have alot of his pictures from the sunfish. When I lived in Ohio for a bit, he visited us one time and we drove to Cleveland to visit the USS Cod, (according to him) the sister ship to the Sunfish. The Cod is a floating preserved sub from WWII. He entered the sub, and gave me the whole run down. When we entered the forward torpedo room, he showed me the bunk he slept in (on the Sunfish). This was the first time I have ever seen tears in his eyes. Dave S
8. Turkey hunting is dangerous enough with shotguns. Not sure I would want to be in the woods with some of those people turkey hunting with centerfire rifle. Dave S
9. Boy, oh boy.... http://news.yahoo.com/george-zimmerman-sues-nbc-reporters-221734555.html Dave S
10. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. I only bring this up as I would like to honor my uncle "Thomas Lowery" who served on the submarine USS Sunfish during WWII and passed away last summer. My uncle Tommy whom raised me, was aboard the Sunfish that fateful day. When the Japanese attacked, the Sunfish (whom was entering the harbor) submerged in the shallow water and turned seaward in search of the Japanese fleet. The Sunfish engaged the Jap fleet and when running out of torpedoes, surfaced and engaged the enemy with a 50 cal machine gun and what my uncle called a 3" inch deck gun. A funny story he told me was when a Soviet Destroyer put up the Japanese flag and cruised right on into Tokyo Bay. The Sunfish went to Tokyo to attack the Jap fleet. Well, they encountered the russian cruiser flying the jap flag and sent two "fish" into the russian ship. Needless to say Ivan got pissed and wanted us to pay for the ship they lost. Such is war my friend!!! I found that story pretty funny! I miss my uncle dearly, but would like to honor ALL the veterans buried in the choppy waters of the South Pacific! Bless you all! Dave S
11. I don't know how or why things like this happen. If I woke up and some dumb a** is standing in my bedroom....he would become immediately deceased! The only one to call 911 would be me. That's what I find wrong with this story! Dave S
12.
I must say this is the most excited I have ever been over $25.
Tis kinda fun huh? Dave S

16. There are no local hog hunting except a limited number of WMA's. All the landowners around with hogs are collecting big bucks from hunters to hunt hogs. In my opinion it's worse now than when hunting hogs was allowed! Land owner's seen a way to make money year round and are cashing in on it! Good luck on your search! Dave S
17.
This!!!^^^ Also, I'd like to be able to hunt small game and turkeys with a centerfire rifle/handgun.
The odds of that are more than very slim! It's a safety issue! Dave S
18. "Hey Weezer, I heard a story where some dumb cop gave a little boy a ticket for wizz'n in the yard. Do you think they seen us? The cops are just sitting there watching...." Dave S
19. Old Uncle Ted is on the news right now blasting Autozone! Give'em hell Ted!!! Dave S
20. Uncle Ted is doing fine! He's not dead, he's not in jail (at least not yet). I just seen him Saturday....I know he is alive and well!! He's busy hunting. Dave S
21. I can't find a brake drum!!! LOL Dave S
22.
DaveS is the man! Thank you very much. If I ever get the hang of it, I'll send you some arrow heads!!
I could use a few rifle flints... Dave S
23. That is absolutely insane!!! Dave S
24. gjohnsoniv; This heavy shed should fit your "boning" needs just right. If you want them, they're yours! Should go with that nice deer hide I gave you! Dave S
25. Caster; these three antlers I think will fit your needs. They have some minor squirrel knawings on them (damn tree rats) but are about 75% usable. If these will fit your needs, they're yours! They are fairly stout and came off nice 8 pointers. If not, I'll dig up some more. Dave S
