  4. You're welcome!   Dave S
  5. TLRMADE; I need you to field test a prototype Bass Lure I've developed. If you're interested that is.   Dave S
  6. A Note from Don's wife Jackie;   Update on Don: He got a good night's rest last night after they finally got his pain under control. It has been much easier to keep his pain manageable today, naturally, after he got some rest! So far the muscle flap that was attached to his ankle is doing great! They use a Doppler unit to listen to blood flow, and we rejoice every time they listen and we hear a strong pulse!! The surgeon said the first 24 hours were the most critical ones, and we are now 48 hours out from that surgery, and all looks/sounds fabulous! No certain day for the next surgery, which is supposed to be a combo bone fusion/add metal parts for what is missing surgery. That will get on the schedule tomorrow a.m., after the osteo surgeon gets back in town. That procedure could be as early as tomorrow, but I'm expecting it to be on Tuesday, just no way to tell. Meanwhile, I am home to get some rest and snuggle with our "kids" and let them have some exercise time. We both feel so uplifted by the prayers, thoughts, well-wishes, and gifts we have received. Feeling so very blessed!! :)   I'll keep ya'll updated!   Dave S
  7. Very nice, thank you for sharing   Dave S
  8. I remember seeing one in a museum. If memory serves me right, it was in the museum at the Log Cabin Sport Shop in Lodi Ohio.   Dave S
  9. Where did you get this info? I read th OP's link several times and did not see this information.   Dave S
  10. Good thing is 75% of those wanna be soldiers in that video don't want to fight. They want fed! They only play soldier because they are forced to. I feel for them!   Dave S
  11. Good news so far with no major setbacks. Don's biggest complaint is that his stomach was pumped full of air for the surjery on his abdomen. According to his wife, he really wants to get rid of that air/gas really bad. LOL Poor guy!   Dave S
  12. I said what I did, because his/her very FIRST post (no introduction, not like new people do) and wants to come to your house, and take pictures of you and your guns? Kinda sends a red flag up. There are other ways he (and us as well) could of handled this. A little introduction, build a few friendships and trust, may have been different, Plus I would charge modeling fees, or something to that effect. I think this person"s first post set the tone for this thread!   :2cents:   Dave S
  13. I'll give an update: Don's surjery went well yesterday and lasted almost 8 hours. Although in a great deal of pain today, Don is recovering well. The Orthopedic surgeon will be back in town on Monday and will see Don and schedule his next surgery.  Don and Jackie has family in town taking care of all their animals. So everything is in good shape on that subject for a bit.   I will keep ya'll posted as I can. Jackie will call me tomorrow with an update.   Thanks again!   Dave S
  14. Any updates Spots? I haven't called. Been letting him rest after his all day surjery yesterday. Will call him after bit.   Dave S
  15. Does that mean that country ham and bacon will be kept hehind the counter, and we need to show ID to get it? What the heck...   Dave S
  16. Sad situation all the way around.Had I been in his shoes I would have done the same. My mind would snap, and I would not be resposible for my actions!   Dave S
  17. As long as someone local can do it, that's fine with me. I'm in Clarksville and it would be too much delay getting help to them. Thanks for all of ya'lls support in helping out a fellow TGO'r!   Dave S
  18. Thanks Spots....they'll appreciate it....I know I do!     Dave S
  19. I don't know anything about Paypal. Never used it. I don't even know if Don has a PP account. Someone local to him should head this up, or we can just send it as we choose. I talked to Don and Jackie today, and they were very very touched by the members of TGO.   Lets try to put something together. If one of ya'll want to volunteer, please be my guest.   Dave S
  20. What he said....other than that, I'm out. Oh....WELCOME to TGO!   Dave S
  21. Folks, just a quick update. Don has reconsructive surjery tomorrow from a plastic surgeon. Monday or Tuesday of next week, he will have orthopedic surjery to rebuild the bones in his leg and ankle. Him and his wife really appreciate the thoughts and prayers sent from the TGO family. Don is doing fairly well today and they seem to have his pain somewhat managed. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!   I have permission to release his home address to anyone desiring to send him a card or offer a little help.  Maybe someone who lives in the Knoxville area can handle some donations or ya'll can send them on your own.   If you desire Don's address, please let me know and I'll PM it to you.   This accident has devistated them.   I'll post an update tomorrow night after he gets out of surjery.   For those wanting to know, Don is in room 1014 UT Memorial Hospital   Dave S
  22. I feel for the man's family, and sad someone died, but I don't buy that story! One hand on the barrel pointed at his chest and one on  the trigger...interesting.   Dave S
  23. Absolutely AWESOME! Congrats!!!   Dave S
  24. That would be great.   Dave S
  25. UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Don, and I read ya'lls posts to him and it really lifted his spirits and made him smile. This is what he needs right now! Don has a 6-8 hour surjery scheduled for tomorrow to reconstruct his ankle and leg. I gave him our best wishes, and his Wife will update me after his surjery.   If anyone wishes to have Don's address to mail him a card, send me a PM and I'll give it to you.   Don and his wife Jackie wishes to thank everyone of you for your moral support during this very difficult time.   And a BIG THANKS from me as well.   Dave S
