China probably has so much military staged on their border with North Korea right now it's not even funny. China does not want US troops occupying a border next them I.E..US troops occupying NK. They will not let that happen! Draw your own conclusions on China's actions. Dave S -

I think what will happen is "The Supreme Leader" will wheel and deal for food and a few Bud Lights and will start standing down his military as he gets what he wants. The people in North Korea know nothing other than what state run TV and radio want them to know. No internet, No cell phones, no public TV..nothing. Kim has nothing to lose right now. He has to do something. His people are not going to take being starved any more. Kim has to fight now, because if he backs down now without any gains, he loses face, and then faces an internal coup. In my opinion, that's whats coming, and the atrocities brought onto his people will have never been seen before! NK executes their people when caught with a cell phone from china. A coup, and the crimes committed on his people will bring the UN in anyways. Therefore Kimmy has nothing to lose by going to war! He calls South Koreans puppets. He has millions of them in North Korea...they'll wake up some day. Dave S -
I guess the North Koreans just thinks that the armies stationed in S. Korea are just going to sit around eating popcorn while Kim Junk Lard sashays right on into Seoul. That young'un needs to think his actions out very carefully. But of course right now, he has nothing to lose. If he causes a war, we'll feed his people and rebuild his kingdom and saves face with his people. These last sanctions took his party money and he's just a tad P'd about it! Dave S

It's been the dream of Kim IL Sung and Kim Jung IL to "Dine in Seoul" as they used to say, now little chubby Kim Jung Lardazz is dreaming too. He's actualy playing a very dangerous game. Here's why: In the past, (several times) he has fired artillery on S. Korean islands, and has basically got away with it. Now, should he fire on them again, no one is going to wait to see how many shells fall...because the "wrath of God" is going to be unleashed on NK from SK, US and the UN. It will be over for NK!! Dave S -
Yes, he will be heading home in the morning. He is very happy! Spots, did you go see him today? Dave S

It is for now, but "Timestepper" is going to be layed up for a good while. It seems every day he is improving. One more surgery to go, and we'll see! Dave S

Folks, Charlie Joe (north korean soldier) don't want to fight! They will surrender by the thousands! S. Korea will probably not be able to handle the mass Defection of the NK army! The first hour of an attack is going to be ugly. then Kim Jung Lardazz's country gets turned into waisteland, by every UN country in S. Korea! Dave S -
An update from Don's wife: Jackie Herrell McCrary The latest on Don: He was able to get into a wheelchair and go outside on Wed., much to his excitement! Then surgery yesterday to affix the external support went well, although pain was made worse and was back at the level it had been the first day. Docs are quite pleased with the progress he has made and are talking about letting him come home before long. Again, much appreciation for all the love and support we have received from everyone! Haven't been online much but have seen that others are struggling with difficult situations in their own lives. Want each of you who read this to know that every one of you are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day, regardless of whether you are experiencing difficulties! Love and hugs to all! ♥ Dave S

An update from Don's wife; Update: Had to go back to the hospital last night after talking to him and finding out he was having an issue that was making him weak. After I got there and spoke with the nurse, we were able to get him straightened out in about an hour (thank goodness!), and Don was then able to sleep comfortably. Thankfully, his issue remained resolved, and he has eaten well today and been reasonably comfortable. Tomorrow, the plan is to change the dressing/wrap on his injured ankle and put another type on it. That is supposed to allow him to be able to get out of bed and stop worrying so much about keeping his ankle above his knee, and that will be a huge relief for him! Then, very early Thursday morning, the plan is to put an external metal brace on his leg so that he can start thinking about coming home! Of course, all this is the plan today, and as we have learned, things often change, depending on many factors. Again, thanks to everyone so very much for all the support! Can't wait for Don to get home and see all the love that is pouring out for us; he will feel even more blessed by the support when he can see it for himself! ♥ Dave S

North Korea Propaganda with antique tanks
DaveS replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
SEOUL: North Korea posted a new propaganda video on Friday, showing paratroopers descending on Seoul in an invasion scenario that envisages taking around 150,000 US residents in South Korea hostage. The four-minute video, titled "A Short, Three-Day War", begins with images of a massive artillery and rocket barrage, followed by a large-scale land and air assault with North Korean troops streaming over the border. A male narrator then describes how "crack stormtroops will occupy Seoul and other cities and take 150,000 US citizens as hostages." The video was posted on the North's official website, Uriminzokkiri, which distributes news and propaganda from the state media. It comes at a time of escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula, with multiple threats from North Korea of an armed response to joint South Korea-US military drills and to UN sanctions imposed after its nuclear test last month. On Thursday, the North Korean military threatened strikes on US military bases in Japan and Guam. The narrator describes different stages of the invasion, including the destruction of forces under the US Pacific Command with "powerful weapons of mass destruction". The video showed footage of paratroopers jumping from the sky superimposed over an aerial shot of the South Korean capital, with North Korean military helicopters hovering overhead. The airborne troops would engage South Korean soldiers in the streets of Seoul, as 4,000 tanks and 3,000 armoured vehicles sweep across the border and race to the capital, the narrator said. According to official immigration figures, South Korea has a US expatriate population of more than 130,000, as well as 28,000 US troops based in the country. On the third day of the proposed invasion, the narrator said Seoul and other cities would be in a state of total chaos, with no food or water supplies, and no communications network. At this point, the Korean People's Army would step in to "stabilise" the situation. "Like this, we have a Unification War scenario that will be wrapped up in just three days," the narrator said. The video was the latest in a line of similarly-themed productions posted to the Uriminzokkiri channel. An offering early last month showed New York in flames after an apparent missile attack, and another two weeks later depicted US soldiers and President Barack Obama burning in the flames of a nuclear blast. And earlier this week, another video showed the dome of the US Capitol building in Washington exploding in a fireball. Since the UN Security Council tightened sanctions on North Korea over its February nuclear test, Pyongyang has issued a range of apocalyptic threats including "pre-emptive" nuclear strikes on South Korea and the United States. It also announced it was scrapping the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War, but its rhetoric has yet to be matched by any overt military action. - AFP All that jibberish in one nut shell. North Korea Propaganda with antique tanks
DaveS replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I spent 2 tours on the DMZ in Korea. There is an extensive (this is not classified) mine field 200+ meters wide that will have to be crossed. All them zipperheads running up that hill won't get far. They'll only die tired and hungry! This version was released raw to the news. I'll try to find a translated version. Dave S -
North Korea just released another "Destroy the US" propaganda film. Nice film, but they are not getting shot at, something Kim, Jung Lardazz needs to realize! It's good for a laugh anyways. This video must have been made back when they had extra ammo and rockets to waste. The guys with the flags are worth extra points when "dropped" right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VQ7NjGeIRw&feature=player_embedded&list=UUknqqNd3-joIjWzf1Jn4oVQ Dave S
