Lego's were my favorite toy when I was young. They didn't have the fancy ones back then but I used to make little choppers, of course they had 4 wheels then. The only thing I collect, sort of, has 2 wheels. At one point I had 5 motorcycles, 6 bicycles and 2 italian scooters in the barn. Sadly I'm down to 2 motorcycles, 2 bicycles and 2 italian scooters. I haven't figured out how to add pics yet. Got a mac if anyone has advice.

Should our men and women in the armed forces...

I think they shouldn't be banned, that's fer sure. Senior people and civilians with a license should be able to have them IMO. -
I had an Audi, found it when I was looking for a Golf TDI, couldn't beat the deal on the Audi. I never had a problem with mine except for the turbo starting to leak. I did all of my own mechanicing, preventive maintenance is key to get the most out of all things mechanical. German autos tend to have the little things around the engine and trans break as they get old though.

The orange will help you be seen (hopefully) at least. I would get a ice cream truck PA system so they could hear you too! :) just kidding, I've never seen one of those but I am a firm believer if you want something, you should get it. The TDI is a great engine, the Germans don't slack on their engineering. I had a 2001 BMW F650gs for a commuter, if I babied it I would get 78mpg. Wish I had it still just for that. It sure was Ugly though!

There are some websites you can check prices in the area, I found it handy when loading up a bunch of gas cans and the truck, otherwise it's usually not worth driving too far. Search for gas prices. I didn't want to put a link in cuz I don't support any of them. No matter how you look at it we are getting shafted!

Word on the Prius, a vw diesel in manual will get 50mpg. They have a 3 cyl Model called the Polo that gets 79mpg, not sold in the States of course. The more we cut down on usage the more they'll raise the taxes though.

I have noticed public venues have cnn, even some military bases I've been on. Glad no one died due to this disturbed kid.
-
Didn't know anyone still watched cnn. just kidding PA has one of those silly knife laws already. I grew up there and it's very limited on what you can have. The laws are useless imo, you can inflict a mortal wound with a 1/4 in blade so limits are useless. Prayers to the injured and family members.

Right on, nothing wrong with that investment! Impressive! How are those hi-cap 1911 mags?

You're not alone, theres a storm a brewin!

Glad to hear you are on the way to recovery! I agree, this forum is dang sweet!

I concur, praise in public, damn in private. I'm not sure about the rules, I've avoided pointing fingers except for the community agitator.

I do think it is driven by politics and traders. My last trip through Germany gas was 10+ a gallon, next stop in Bahrain had an incredible .68 a gallon. A barrel of oil is under 100 right now as it was then.

Lager head, I agree with most of what you said, my gripe is the level of what takes place. If they can get the inflated price that's good for them. A thread adapter for a p22 which normally sells for 15 and marked up to 45 overnight is beyond reason to me. I wouldn't do that to any customer especially one that has been loyal. It's the nature of the beast and it's nothing new but that doesn't mean I'll support it or shops that will partake in the practice to that level.
-
I agree that the only way to curb this is to not pay the higher prices. 22 is the prime catalyst left over and I have come across it at a few shops, their prices were too high so I walk. This has given me a new found respect for my air guns though.
-
I think the tone of the other threads is about the level of ethics in gouging. I think capitalism is the best system any country has ever seen but when a few really take advantage of what is going on, they seem like those folks that buy as much 22 ammo as they can just to resell it at extreme prices. Taking advantage is not a good quality imo. A 15 dollar product that is marked up to 45 just because there is a bit of panic in the air is beyond bad business in my eyes. The key is if you feel like you got a good deal and are happy with the transaction. Personally I like to support my local shops but I do have limits with what I'm willing to pay.

I do think the employees are in on it. I had one counter guy tell me a shipment came in last night, when he got here in the morning they were all gone. He opened. Can't blame them though since all the employees hours have been cut to 35 a week. Not a smiling employee in the store. Isn't the fundamental transformation wonderful :(

Yes sir, hope they help!

Once the evil coal fired plants are extinguished it will skyrocket and will probably be rationed, hence smart meters. The economy is doing great (in govs view) since we don't count energy and food as economic indicators anymore(Clinton). With the repeal of the glass/steagal act,(Clinton) we have lost the tool to keep the market from running amuck. Volatile fer sure. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass–Steagall_Act

"Energy prices will necessarily skyrocket" http://dailycaller.com/2013/06/25/obama-admitted-energy-prices-would-skyrocket-under-his-policies/?onswipe_redirect=no I think the fuel prices are a combination of our weak dollar, govt intrusion with what's in the gas blend and a general they don't give a hoot what we pay. Stand by though for electricity prices this year!
