  1. Life is too short to drink bad coffee, the same goes for a frosty beer!
  2. Agreed on the French press!
  3. I had one of those beepers too, it's in the yard sale pile now. Got one of those one cup makers for Christmas and It is awesome. I don't use the cups, too expensive, I've got a refillable basket that let's me use my coffee. I like it because I have no more burnt or wasted java.
  4. Very good points you make OS, That clears up any foggy idea I might have had to ever patronize against my better judgement. I think it is absurd that people think criminals follow the law and even worse is the hysteria caused by the left in order to demonize gun owners.
  5. Welcome to the forum, bet you'll enjoy the heck out of retirement with this hobby!
  6. I do avoid places that don't welcome me but The way I see it is the owner decided to limit my right to protect myself. Seems pretty logical but I do know that is where the legal system tends to be removed from, logic.
  7. Very nice to hear a good story from one of our fine manufacturers, sounds like they went above and beyond.
  8. I agree the two legged are the biggest concern if you happen to stumble across some wacko. Even bear won't bother you unless you are too close to the cubs. They are curious though, we had one cone check is out while we were running chain says, had music playing and making a ruckus. He was about 30' away when we noticed him. He took off then.
  9. Are they not liable now? Should be the way I see it!
  10. Either the 22/45 lite, G 23 or 27 sometimes the 38 revolver.
  11. Wish I could make it, looks like a great range. Have a blast!

    a nice find

That is sweet! I seem to find half chewed up lizards and mice.
  13. They make laws to protect themselves from being so stupid. And the laws effect us normal folk, idiots!
  14. Everyone does make mistakes, no doubt. I do think we expect nothing but the best from a dealer since they are reps of the motor company and because they charge a premium. Most of us know the deal where not everyone is certified, a lack of allegiance (which is everywhere) and money is tight for everyone including the dealer. When the errors outnumber the positives though, it's a huge problem. This certainly isn't limited to auto dealers or even the field. I think the medical field is surpassing the trend of bad mechanics and that will no doubt get worse. I applaud anyone that runs a dealer, shop and even the shade tree mechanic. The biggest problem are people, not all of course but it seems like the chuckleheads outnumber the normal ones. Back to vehicles, no matter what you do, preventative maintenance is the most important thing to stay on top of getting the most out of your machine.

If he could get to bend to the side the things hiding behind trees will have less of a chance :) I like the view of being a spotter, you can see the boolit and sound barrier breaking. Did it for long range M-14 shooting. Never thought to take a pic though.
  17. Gotta say I prefer the old technology. Imagine of there were an EMP, there might be one out of a thousand vehicles still moving
  18. If you didn't subject it to dirt roads or long drives in the rain I wouldn't freak out. I would change the oil though. It is made by BMW so it might be just fine. The Deutch make some fine engines.

The tire is smart fer sure. I've never split birch but have recently split some magnolia. It was was like that and split easily. Too easy, of course it burned quick. Cool video and I'm looking forward to using a tire to stop chasing pieces.
  21. Sorry to hear what you went through and like peejman said you could have already ingested some bad stuff in the engine. If it's not air and fuel it's bad and can at a minimum cause premature wear. As a mechanic, I don't trust the dealers, the days of dedication and craftsmanship are at a minimum.
  22. Thanks Mac Gyver, I don't even see any duct tape or silly string
  23. Nice list, add me to # six if you would be so kind
  24. Great story and experience! He was an admirable man that's for sure. I never got to meet the man but did line the street during his funeral. I also share the same birthday, a couple of years off though. Thanks for sharing and posting!
