  2. Welcome to The forum!
  3. didn't think of ebay, will check it out thanks gregintenn!
  4. I'm armed when I do any deal involving strangers, you just never know.
  5. Bacon is without a doubt, good! Sometimes I cook it just to fill the house up with the smell. Haven't tried this yet, I'm worried it might do an immediate artery clog http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/
  6. The website shows the firing pin out if stock but thanks for the # for Winchester, I will give them a call, if they don't have I guess no one else will. Thanks!
  7. I seem to lose a lot of left socks more than anything else
  8. Pringles could be the new Soylent green for all we know
  9. Looking for a little guidance here folks.   I picked up a post 64 model 94 a few years ago from a small shop that has since gone out of business. This 30/30 was just re-blued when I bought it and seemed fine. When I finally went to take it around the block I found it to be sloppy in the action, the lever link wouldn't sit flush and the firing pin even fell out. So I took it to a smith and after it sat on his rack for over a year, I picked it up and now is it not only not fixed, it is missing the firing pin.   Its a shop and range in east Tn and he says he does't have my pin and it "probably needed replacement anyway". He has crap all over the place and wouldn't be able to find it if it was the size of a loaf of bread.   I'll chalk this up as a life lesson just like finding a bad mechanic or Dr etc.   So now I'm looking for parts, I have found a few diagrams and plan on taking it completely apart and see what else is missing or worn. Did a quick search online and 2 places that had parts listed were both backordered on the firing pin. Looks like just about all other parts are available though.   Guess I'm asking if this part is no longer made and I'm sol. Any recommendations are appreciated!
  10. Nice shot! No doubt we would show, just ask and all daylight hours might be covered :)
  11. Prayers sent and condolences.
  12. This post is great! I do it all the time, just bought some more hardware to make some towel heater mounts, once I got home I found the pile I bought 4 months ago. I'm currently looking for some front brake pads for the Polaris. They're over a year old! Only did it once with a shotgun, took a couple of days to find it.
  13. I'm with you on the electric shavers, they just don't cut it. For years I used a similar double edged blade safety razor but went to the disposables when they came out with a multi blade. Currently I'm happiest with the shick extreme III, it contours to my face and works like a champ. I don't like the costs and waste though. I've been thinking of going back to the ol double blade again and might check out what you've ordered. I looked in to the straight edge and besides the skill needed to use it, the amount of effort to keep the blade shave sharp turned me off. It is a lost art and with what is available today the cost benefit isn't there. There is nothing like getting an old fashioned shave at a Barber though.
  14. Welcome to the forum and right on for having access to the long distance ranges!
  15. I have an alien gear holster on the way. I'm still trying to find a good fit for summer carry and hope that fits the bill. I usually end up carrying a ruger lcp and would rather carry the G23 or 1911.
  16. Is it that evident finally...
  17. You're not alone! It's not easy to find the perfect fit and that's what happens, I considered selling some but haven't gotten past the thought :)
  18. May be we should re-release Dolomites pics before we accept out protechs for a little refresher training. I'm surprised they didn't want to take out the tip of the bone you broke off. I've been lucky, was in construction and hit the wrong nail plenty of times. Other wise 3 toes and one soft break in a finger, was able to self heal. Stitches once for a slice in my palm had a cut like Dolomites once but just wrapped it and let it heal, no muscle damage. I'm a quick healer so that helps. Hope you are back to thumbing the way a man should be real soon!
  19. Good for you man! Nothing like it except shooting non paper on your own property. I'm due for one myself and plan on bringing most of em to get the dust off and show I still appreciate em! Ammo prices are suckin all over but ya gotta let it out once and awhile.
  20. That sucks! Heal quick, at least it's not the trigger finger :)
  21. We also have a safe vendor on this forum, I've heard nothing but good about him and his shop. I picked up a browning copper in Florida at a small gunshop when I lived there, it was on sale and I got it for less than 750. It was a heck of a deal. It is a good size but if you go out and buy new, buy one bigger than you think you'll need. They fill up fast with guns and other valuables. Look for used too, there was one posted in the classifieds here a little while back.
  22. I'm sure we couldn't go wrong with any blade they offer, my name is Ugly and I can handle ugly things :)
  23. just like on my bike, not a fan of chrome  :snore: i will go with the majority though.
  24. I like the first one but like this one with the black blade. Don't think it would look as good with the shiny blade.
  25. It's the entitlement society. They think we owe them and we need to wait on em.
