  1. It's probably like shine, it's over 10 bucks a bottle now, used to be what, 2.00? Gov gets involved, prices skyrocket and people get jobs with a retirement plan:/
  2. Is there a sign up fee?
  3. Unemployment is low in MD, I used to live near the Accocreek plant, easy access to the hiway and secluded parts going south. I imagine some will leave to get out while they can but many will probably stay is my guess.
  4. You're only cheating yourself
  5. I just went over my coating with a little corn starch and it appears to have done the trick!
  6. I'm active so I usually wear supportive drawers, haven't done the righty whitey thing since boot camp though. These holsters have smooth leather on both sides, they don't look seemed and are thick, I think they finished the backside to be as smooth as the front. I usually wear a wife beater for the sweat factor,( I sweat like a pig in this humidity)which makes it slide around too I guess. The spray I used is perfect except for the residue factor. It's thin and flexible. I'll keep an eye open for a thin sheet to adhere on in the meantime. Thanks!
  7. Must it have a full buttstock? I can imagine a collapsable is not too friendly when wrenching down on the sling. Just wondering if I should modify my AR or just build one for matches.   Are the matches still open sights?
  8. Thanks Lefty, I just found a reason to build! Do you supply your own ammo for these matches?
  9. I've got a couple of alien hear holsters that work great for me by providing the best low profile. Problem is they seem to shift a bit and I end up cranking down my belt. I'd like to add some non slip on the back to keep em more secure. Any recommendations? I tried auto undercoating and while it works as desired, it doesn't seem to dry completely.
  10. DMark, glad to hear the black rifle is a dominating presence. Can you offer any advice on how to make a stock mil-spec AR competition ready and worthy? It'd be cheaper for me than buying an M1. Not to mention ammo prices! It's been a good number of years since I've shot one of these, (15) and I know there have been leaps and bounds in the technology.
  11. I've shot a few on the Navy shooting team, it is an absolute blast, I highly recommend check in it out. You peaked my interest by mentioning it, I'm gonna have to go and see about getting back into it. Unfortunately I didn't buy all the gear that goes along with it, you can do it with the basics but nothing like creedmore armory jackets and gloves. A great spotting scope and my favorite, stick um spray. Of course an M1 is good to have too. I've seen guys shoot the M16 but they were never too far up on the point scale, I think they are too susceptible to windage. In fact I have witnessed the little bullets tumble at 600yds too.
  12. The cable/dish scam is horrible for sure, the only thing I like watching are the premium Chanel series though. Deadwood had me hooked, just found Banshee on Cinemax, pretty darn cool!
  13. This is a common learning process, don't be discouraged. It has taken me many years to be able to cook them to my satisfaction. Beef are a bit more difficult than pork but it is still possible to get them to fall off the bone. An easy method for the oven is to use an oven bag. I still use the foil method on the grill, it keeps the heat down in the house and adds flavor. With foil on the grill, use heavy duty foil, seal it up tight tight tight, if the liquid leaks out, well it won't work so well.
  14. We wanna know
  15. Congrats! You can put the money you're saving in to a jar and buy something you'd like to add to the collection too!
  16. Ive had zero luck at any big box store. Good for you guys finding stuff! Hope it gets better, I'm getting cobwebs on my 22s.
  17. With continued executive actions and crap like operation choke point, the loons will make some progress on making firearms less available. Some shops are just hanging on and with the economic recovery being the opposite in reality, as are nearly all things the fundraiser says, more are sure to close.
  18. It'd be nice to have a building made of those bricks!
  19. I was like this for about 15 years then finally figured out what works best, for me at least. I use a dry rub on the ribs, wrap them in foil and before I seal the foil I add a mixture of beer, soy or Worcester and a little water. I don't add too much, enough to steam the ribs in the foil. Low and slow on the grill, you'll smell when the magic is happening. I'll flip em once. Once they're done, I'll take em out of the foil and put em on the grill, add sauce. Sometimes they are so tender they fall off the bone to the point you can't add sauce. Best of luck with learning your rib recipe.
  20. From my experience, every move I've had done in the states (4) had pick up guys. I asked them the first move when the driver put someone else's car on the truck and added the weight with mine. I had to pay a lot for that hook up.   I've also used 3 different weigh stations located at moving companies property, each time there were guys hanging around and asked me for work. That makes me think most. I'm sure there are traditionally employed people, I just haven't had the pleasure of using them.
