  1. It shouldn't be harder to start than it would be once broken in. Water pressure will be a show stopper. Have them start it with the water either turned off or with the pressure relieved.
  2. Looks like toro has some in your price range for what you're looking for. https://www.toro.com/en/homeowner/riding-mowers/timecutter-hd-75213 I would check out exmark too and compare. https://www.exmark.com/Special-Offers others have high praise for other brands as well. My experience is limited to exmark and I'm happy with them.
  3. I haven't heard a bad thing about a toro and believe they are in bed with exmark (of which I am a fan). search for lightly used and you might find a 10k mower for 4-5k. Of course I don't mean through a dealer but the interwebs, if you're patient and willing to drive, deals are to be had. Good luck!
  4. It is not gonna be good for their revenue. I didn't realize BHO paid teams to show patriotism starting in 2009. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/timothymeads/2017/09/24/draft-n2385792 most people don't think the flag represents white cops oppressing non white people. 20 years in the military and I never once heard that. This is pure left wing BLM politics brought in to the NFL. Disrespectful to say the least!
  5. Smaller targets work to a point. Add wind and mirage and you've got a challenge I'm a fan of the .308 round and do think it might be a tad underpowered for 1k yds. ( for a semi auto at least) It'll do it but not as good as something with a bit more bang behind it. Any way, I've got a couple we could drag out there and put to the test. I second a local get together! I haven't signed up for ORSA yet because of lack of free time. And want to get my $ worth. In a few months I'll have the time.

The approach of cutting off meds to those that need it is as bad as banning guns so criminals won't buy them. Probably worse because we have people suffering unnecessarily because of the beaurocratic idiocy! i feel bad for those of you having to suffer at the hands of idiots!!! A quick search shows that we, taxpayers, have spent over 1 trillion clams in the last 40 years on the war on drugs. Countless lives lost and incarcerated. Seems like a business to me. Not saying I condone legalizing drugs at all. But I do think that the regulation nation is all about $ and being our mommy. In Mexico, you don't need a prescription for meds that a Doc says you need. Here, you do for some stuff that should be over the counter. Heck, you do for pet meds! Even some pet foods. Its not baffling when you see it's a career field and we don't push back. If someone wants to buy Viagra or some pain killer, so be it, let them, if they do themselves in with it, so be it. The way it is now, there is more violence and mayhem because of regulation.

Was the drug problem worse than now before we declared a war on drugs? i was young then but have a feeling it probably turned out like the war on poverty did. If you are lacking core values, it doesn't matter what flavor of bad habit you have. If you had real values that make you a good person, they will win over extreme bad decisions, such as helping to dispose of the body.
  8. Any high power round should be fine for at least 600. I have been in matches were guys were using ARs and they were accurate, started to tumble but accurate. Any .308 should reach out to 1000 as well. Size of groups are a different story. I shot the M14 and while I hit the target at 1k, the 300 win mag guys owned that range.
  9. He's closer to 1500. I know, it's painful.
  10. My LGS has one in 308 on the shelf and I would love to bring it home. Too much coin for me though. I've got too many toys that I don't get to play with now. Buy it GJ and bring it over ive got some ammo!
  11. Negligent is the appropriate word. Glad he didn't kill anyone, himself included. What is really sad is that he, as well as me and many other folks realize we have to carry a firearm these days due to what has happened to society. Hope he fully recovers and gets a safer carry piece.

One school simply needs to look up at my house to see the current status. I was stationed on Andrews AFB and lived on base as well. We could see the smoke from the Pentagon from our hangar. All flights stopped except for the evac hueys and the F-16's at the ready next door to us. They took off and flew around the clock for at least 2 years. I watched one intercept a Cessna. He almost shot it down but it responded after 2 fly by's including a wing dip and flares. I didn't leave the base for 3 months and when I did I rode my motorcycle up to PA. All along the way, 4 hr ride, there were signs, flags and all kinds of patriotic displays. It was a tremendous and moving sight. Now look at us.

The schools near my house didn't even fly their flags at half mast. Made me wonder if they even teach it in history class. It is sad what has become of this country is such a short time! Never Forget! update, by noon at least one school lowered their flag.
  15. The many threads help with the hysteria, it's a good thing, if you limp left
  16. Mandatory evacuation in the Keys, hope it doesn't wipe them off the map, it is a nice place to visit
  17. Up another .15 here between 9 and 11.
  18. Concur, Harley's are overpriced as are so many other vehicles. If HD could be more competitive with sales price it would help sales tremendously. The plus is their simplistic designs used to keep maintenance costs down. I've never had to do a valve adjustment on a harley, except for installing pushrods but it is so simple a caveman could do it. Try To adjust valves on a Ducati, or even worse, have the dealer do it. Went to look at the new models yesterday and they only had a few on the floor. Didn't ride one yet as I know that's where the difference is.
  19. Staying home here as well, sounds like you have a great plan! Hope the Texans recover soon!
  20. You seem conservative to me. I believe as you. I have no ill will towards any group of people for their lifestyle or beliefs unless they try to force it upon everyone else. I have known gay people most of my life, I never once judged them for that. Who am I to judge? I don't think our schools should be teaching our elementary schools kids that they should question their assigned sex or how to be gender fluid however. The three R's, that's what school should be about. It's turned in to a socialist indoctrination center. i believe in helping our fellow man, treat others with respect and respect our elders. Judge not lest yet be judged yourself. Live within your means and work for what you want. The problem here lies with these politicians creating these different alphabet groups so they can divide us. Buy us and make us dependent. Forcing the way of others, often a small group upon us. Ignoring the law and reality with actual facts and science to force something upon us is not cool. In fact it goes against the majority and perpetuates fraud. I think if we all did an honest moral assessment, we would find out more of us are more conservative than we think, that includes some hard lefties. The fact that anyone gives the SPLC any value is disturbing and shows weakness in their value system inmo. If you look at the resources in the link I've posted, you will see that they operate on fear and hate against anyone else that isn't as liberal as them. While I swore an oath, I believe in that oath to this great nation. I'm not a member of the oath keepers but I still am against tyranny and am for the rule of law. It's that simple. That doesn't mean I "hate" illegal aliens, they are people and I get their plight. But they are in violation of federal law. I could go on but I've bored everyone's eyeballs enough. Have a great day and watch out for looters!
  21. Well, I didn't mean to ruffle feathers but the way I see it is there are conservatives and lefties, that's it. Look at our governor as an example, he sure isn't a conservative. True conservatives believe in do unto others. They wouldn't be looters. I have never heard of the oath keepers as a hate group either. I can only assume it is listed that way by the southern poverty law center which is not a reputable and bipartisan firm. http://www.conservapedia.com/Southern_Poverty_Law_Center https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2013/07/25/oath-keepers-rally-reveals-radical-politics-group this seems like rhetoric to me. Of course I could be missing something since I've become so shallow in my political beliefs. If I am mistaken please educate me. Not trying to be argumentative, I really believe there are only two political groups at this point.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I think anyone that shoots at someone else should be dealt the hand they pulled. This isn't playtime.
  23. Can you imagine the meltdown the left would have if some lefties, I mean looters were shot for doing what they do?
  24. Up 19 cents here.
  25. Picked one up awhile back and think it's a great value.seems like a glock clone and besides the trigger sucking the price of mags are steep. But if you don't want a pile of mags, I think it's a fantastic piece. I did have an issue with some federal redbox I picked up at Wally World. Had 7 out of 100 fail to fully seat in battery. My LGS said it was budget ammo made for Wally World, I had no idea federal would lower their standards. Used quality ammo after that and no problems. Cant beat the name Smith and Wesson!
