  1. ah, cool. it's one of those rounds I've yet to shoot. And if you only shoot about 25 rounds through it, you likely don't need to worry about cleaning it every time, but I still would. Of course, I typically shoot at least a couple hundred rounds at a time, so I am a little more routine with my cleaning.

    Para-ordinance?

what??? how do you cut your teeth with a glock????
  3. Yeah, I clean after I shoot, and every thousand rounds or so I fully disassemble and clean everything. If it's a picky gun, I'll break it down and clean it more often. Nice choice on a Colt 1911, I'm wondering about it being chambered in .38 super. How do you like it?
  4. Nice gun, and yeah, I'm glad I don't live in MA, CA, or NY.
  5. Yeah, I just sent some brass to another member a while back. And FYI, live rounds can be shipped to someone 'legally' too - it just takes special steps. UPS ground, basically.
  6. yep, it's functioning fine. thanks again.
  7. Glock 21sf in .45 with Hornaday TAP 230gr +p in one mag, and Federal HSTs in the other mag. Plus one in the tube equals 27 rounds ready to punch through a BG.
  8. Wow, not a bad looking girl....er, gun. well, I'd certainly enjoy a few hours with either of them;)
  9. I'm still not convinced eh'll be elected. Kids my age are a large part of his support base. I know more than a few Cbamaites who aren't even registered to vote....they don't even realize it's too late. I think that'll cut his lead for sure.
  10. wow that really does look great! Nice shooting for 11.5" at 200 yards. But isn't that a neighbor's house or something behing your target? ???
  11. much improved over the look of the old grips. Nice!
  12. sweet, that got it right and made it easy. i've racked it a bunch and even upside down. before it would lock up occasionally and always when upside down, gravity i would assume . anyway, now to test it under fire, but i'm sure that fized it. and the cause, i'm betting, is that i put the bottom pin in first then the wire went above the top pin when i put the gun back together this time. and there's a 'glock tool'??? hell, two allen wrenches and a screwdriver are all it takes!
  13. Wow, and that's an area I frequent. I try to be a bit more aware though. she's lucky.
  14. eh, i ignored it. it's just t3h L0lZ so, referencing the photo above, the wire has to be bent like than in relation to the shaft. the top pin is inserted, then the switch is pushed down and back until it's fully seated and the other pin goes in? does that make sense?
  15. et45, that's what I'll do if it doesn't work properly now. and deerslayer, it's all near new, so i doubt it's the mags. thanks again.
  16. cool, its' working when racked manually, i just gotta test it under fire. it seems like the tension is a tad light. but thanks guys.
  17. verbal got it, that should help me get it done. i just didn't remember how it was supposed to be shaped. i'll kwwp y UP TO St3e if it works or not
  18. so I was out at the range yesterday, when my glock began locking back on every shot. I field stripped it and noticed the spring was pushing the switch up even with the slide off. so I guess I did something to it when I had it broken down. The gun fired and functioned fine once I took the switch off at the range. Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how the spring needs to be shaped to work correctly. Anyone have any pics or knowledge about it? Is it easier to replace it? It's the OEM Extended release, though I doubt that makes a difference.
  19. Colorado, a certain small town outside of Rocky mountain National Park is where my heart lives. one day my body will as well.
  20. Regarding terrain, the rock climbing at big south fork is phenomenal. anyone familiar with the stone door are? I hadn't thought about that in a while. maybe i schould keep up with this thread and research hunting out there.
  21. Now, for the second part of my question, how long have you carried there and have you noticed where you carry causing health type problems over time? Obviously it affects how you move, presssure on joints, muscles, tendons, bones and whatnot, so what have you found works/doesn't work in that respect.
  22. Nice excuse to take a vacation if ya ask me.
  23. wow, you're impressively prepared for anything!
  24. I actually called today to check if it was still good, but i said .223 not thinking it was 7.62, and they said 9 bucks ish a box, regularly 10. i thought you all were full of it til now lol
