If I (5'10" and 165lbs) can conceal a G21 at about 5'o'clock and canted a bit, no matter what I'm wearing (unless it's a skin tight shirt in which case I'll carry something smaller) then you can conceal a G17. Practice moving and walking with it in different positions in front of the mirror or your family, and take it from there.

I can honestly say I don't think I'd comply with something like that. In a situation like that, I'd be carrying with or without a permit, and my guns would all be loaded and accessible but maybe with a shirt or something over them. Desperate times, desperate measures.

Yeah, I hear ya, but the weight comes from what I think is a lotta steel, or something leading to how damn solid the gun feels. And yeah 1608 is a lot of cash, but if you have money to spend like that, why not? Someday I hope I have money like that too lol.

I had a chance to shoot a buddy's CZ bolt action mag fed .22 a couple weeks back and it was a real tack driver at 50 and 100 yards. I don't know the model number but I'm kinda wanting one for myself now.

But another question, not to hijack or anything, I was told by a guy at the range the other day that if you have a tax stamp for a full auto, you can SBR it without another tax stamp. True? False? Insane??? It's tempting to do it that way once I have the $$$ for a registered auto receiver and such, if this is in fact true.
