Reciprocal license fees for hunting in NC
fizik replied to wattsbarbound's topic in Hunting and Fishing
kinda... Did you at least get reimbursed for the money you spent? And the reciprocal fee idea is stupid, but if it's going to continue then maybe TN should charge out of state hunters a bit less. -
Wow Angus, it's awesome to hear some honesty like that from an airline employee! I've never had a good experience with them, you just renewed my faith in mankind. By the way, I have always flown Southwest when I could, and they're by far the best airline to travel on IMO.

yay political discourse!!! more entertaining than springer, but i'll keep my views to myself lol. no need to fan the flames.

that is the one issue i have with large glocks like mine. if they had changeable backstraps it would fit my hand like a glove. of course it fits me the way i like it, but changeable backstraps are all the M&P and XDs have to get people away from glock. glock - change the grip design to include changeable backstraps and stay on top of the imitators:stir:

What? I see Abercrombie and Fitch on the receiver, Beretta on the barrel, and Ausonia Electric Steel on the barrel...what on earth is this thing? Was it made by Beretta and distributed by A&F? or is that a replacement barrel? I certainly like the look of it though, pretty cool.

yeah he said he had like 60 bucks in the conversion, so it sounds pretty cool.

that's some really shady ****...i don't think thats such a bad idea, but every member should read the stickies and be familiar what can and cannot be done when buying/selling a firearm.

yeah, for me it'll be decided by the vp picks. I'm a libertarian at heart, so this and the last few presidential elections have been a chice between the lesser of two evils, or vote libertarian and help them grow. unless the more evil one is winning, then i'd vote to keep that from happening. if mccain had a landslide i wouldn't worry and vote libertarian

I was raised in the Church, but it wasn't right for me. After a spiritual and religious journey I've been on, encompassing a wide number of faiths, I've found peace within myself. I feel more closely connected to God without the constraints of a typical dogmatic, organized environment. I don't wish any ill will to those who have deep religious ties, I see that it is a blessing in many people's lives. I think it's an individual decision, difficult to define. All I can say is that my personal spirituality works for me, and I'm comfortable with that.

It certainly was paid for by taxpayer money, but its actual ownership may be up for dispute. I know there are private stakeholders involved, but I don't know that they own it in its entirety or even majority. Assuming they own a majority nad the government owns some, LP field might be considered a government building. AFAIK...

yeah, those are stunningly beautiful pistols. I know what I have to hold next time I'm at the shop, and add it to the "List of "Necessities... ehr, ....Desires" list lol.

I really think this guy should've used a larger caliber gun, so that sack of crap would be dead. I'm also hoping he isn't treated like he's the bad guy, when he shot that thug for robbing and threatening him.

I keep eyeing these things with lust. I had just seen them online til I went to the Reloader's Bench to pick up some ammo a week or two back, and they had the black and the stainless two tone. And yeah, it felt GREAT in the hand - I bet when it's loaded it'll be balanced amazinly well. Congrats for sure man!

Glock Night Sight suggestions
fizik replied to SpacemanSpiff's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I've got Trijicon Tritium XS sights on my 21sf and absolutely love them. They're the vertical line rear sight and dot front sight, so there's no question of three dots being aligned wrong in the dark. They're bright, quick to line up and snag free. I highly recommend them. They're exactly like these (24/7s) but branded Trijicon and on a glock. -
what would be the difference in right and left handed guns, ? just the ejector and charging handle, maybe safety? are there other components that would be mirrored? is it just to avoid brass in the face, or would that even be an issue? sorry for the ignorance guys, but i guess asking is the best way to learn when i can't find out for myself with reasonable effort.

sweet, absolutelyy sweet. you mind saying what that cost you?

That is absolutely sickening. I'm eternally grateful to be in a state with semi resonable gun laws.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think some parts of written instructions for a build are tough to follow. Seeing someone else do it, and having someone to ask questions and get answers in the flesh would be great. I'm still waiting for my first build, so I think a class would be something I'd jump all over.

looking at the stock photos and reviews, wow. Congrats on a sweet rifle.
