Mike, Good to have you aboard. It seems that many of us in Memphis do most of our shooting at Range USA. Great place. I was there just yesterday as a matter of fact. I didn't shoot as well as I would have liked. I decided I need to get better sights for the 1911. Enjoy.

A way to combat this would be to make bus drivers "Special" officers and have them go through LE training and have the authority to "arrest" little Johnny or Suzie if they commit a crime. I don't foresee that happening.

Glock = Good Gun, could use and external safety or a decocker at the least. Another poor design (in my opionion) is having to pull the trigger to take it down. I would much rather have the decocker option than that.I do carry one most days and haven't shot myself (prays)

$200 to pressure wash a house when you can rent the washer for about $50 a day and do it yourself? Yeah, you are getting ripped. Heck, you can buy some of the "smaller" washers for around that and be able to do it, the cars, the sidewalks and any thing else you want whenever you want. Up to you, but I wouldn't pay it.I went to the range today, though I probably shouldn't since I didn't shoot to well. I hit where I was aiming, I just didn't enjoy it. RangeUSA had the big side closed for maintenance so we were on the small side. I did get out to the zoo this morning and it was awesome weather for that. We get to the zoo most weekends. Mars, I know you hate this side of the state, but if for some strange reason you make it over here, that is one place to definitely go see.

Tower, 10 years on April 13th. Pretty amazing, never thought I would be married in the first place and now it's 10 years.No problems with not meeting up, it is short notice after all. Maybe another weekend.

I will be at Range USA in Bartlett tomorrow at 1 if anyone cares to join me. The wife and I were supposed to go tonight for our " anniversary night out" but she wasn't in the mood so I got a free pass for tomorrow. Jack, I guess I am misunderstanding, there are legislators in DC that are starting processes to lift the ban? Isn't lifting the ban a good thing? I guess I am just not following. I would rather see this left out of SCOTUS because of the possibility of the ruling not going in our favor.

I know Scott at Range USA is thinking about franchising in the future and opening shops in Jackson. If you could find some one with some capital, I am almost positive he would be interested in talking to them but SSS might have more info on that.

I guess I have a bit of an advantage when I am in the wifes car. We usually have a diaper bag that has a bit of food, some juice, and baby wipes. Say what you will, but along with the pistol and the tie down straps in the car I could probably go for a while. I do need to get a lighter and flashlight and keep it in the car just in case.

Here is something my wife keeps trying to impress upon me. Unless you are getting a gun of equal value to what you paid for yours, don't trade, just go buy a new one (when the budget allows.) That is why I didn't end up trading off the Springfield because I wasn't getting = value for it. That being said, getting a new gun is always fun and waiting to get one sucks!!!

Gun buy back programs only help to liberate some nice firearms from people that don't use them. So we have Microsoft announcing to the world that they are anti-gun (in my opinion based on the fact that they are donating software etc to this program.) Damn me for not learning Linux and getting off this crap.

An unloaded gun worked in this situation because he was behind the guy in the garage, had he been in front of the car, the outcome probably would have been different. I sincerely hope this man finds the magazine for that pistol and keeps it loaded as long as that caretaker is in the home and her ex is on the street. Hopefully this will allow for an order of protection and extra charges can be added on.
