  1. I 100% have to agree with Firefox. The only reason I didn't use it 100% of the time at my old job was that one of the applications we had INSISTED on IE. Wouldn't work in ANY other browser. Firefox also has a cool built in spell checker. Great for forums.
  2. I don't really have any thoughts for you, but I will say that this emphasizes the need to train off hand shooting as much as possible. You never know when some strange occurance could keep you from your normal standards.
  3. Tommy, Welcome to the bunch. And God Save you for working LE in a very dangerous city. I frequently shoot at RangeUSA. In fact, it is the only place I shoot. Wish they allowed High Power (AK47) rifles in there.
  4. I have to agree, Flex fit gets on my nerves some times.
  5. I like T-Shirts and long sleeve T-Shirts
  6. Lived in the DC area a LONG time ago and loved it (if that tells you how long ago it was, Reagan was president the entire time I lived there.) I wouldn't be caught alive in DC now though.
  7. I have to agree, if a dog threatened me on MY property, it would not live another minute, I don't care whose dog it was, even my own.
  8. Okay, since so far I am the only one definitely able to make it that weekend, lets make it the next. I will reserve my hall pass until then. That would be Sunday June 24th.
  9. Well, we could say the next weekend, but as was said in another thread about get togethers, any day you pick won't work for some one. I was going with Fathers day because I figured it is a day that DAD gets to do what HE wants, and those that aren't married or don't have children, well, they can do what they want when she wants it.
  10. Well, since I mentioned this in the Crime Statistics thread I thought I would actually start one. How about a TGO get together and shoot in Memphis on Fathers Day. That is a day when us Dad's get to choose what WE want to do. I usually try to go to the range on that day. What do you think? June 17th, 2007 Actually, how about making it a Regional thing, get all the TGO members in their respective areas to get together and have a shoot.
  11. Being as this is a "volunteer" pay site, anything that helps keep revenue coming in to keep it that way is a good idea in my opinion. I don't have a problem with a few adds as long as they are not obnoxious.
  12. Good, God, men. We don't just live in the same city, we live blocks from each other basically. I am at Poplar/Kirby or if you want to actually be closer, Kirby and Humphreys/Wolf River Parkway. Not too far from the new Opera Memphis location. We really do need to set up a shoot. Unfortunately, I used my outing for April and won't get to go again until May or June. How about a Fathers day Shoot at Range USA? Any dad's want to set that up.
  13. Medic, You are right, some times things aren't as bad as they seem, they are worse. That is the case in Memphis. I cannot even begin to guess the amount of crime that goes on in the Hispanic and Black community here that doesn't get reported for fear of retaliation. 0down, we have to go shoot sometime.
  14. It just goes to show that dogs will do just about anything to please their masters. Even a dorky Grease song.
  15. First time I took it I got 16. Now I get a lot more.
  16. 0down, Since you live in the city that is literally a stones throw from my front door (Poplar/Kirby) you can guess what my city is like.
  17. I often ask myself who am I not where am I, but that is another story. Welcome to the joint.
  18. I could burn this building down.Um - Yeah, we're gonna need you to move down to the basement.
  19. Welcome, Beltaine, I guess your holiday is coming up soon (or did it just past?)
  20. Careful Molon - That pool hall probably serves Zima or Smirnoff Bottled Drinks or Wine Coolers. Those are ALL malt liqueur.
  21. Personally, I like Vermonts model on Concealed Carry. Legally purchase a firearm and you have THE RIGHT to carry concealed. I agree with you molon on the fact that many things that we take for granted are rights are "privileges." Driving a car is a privilege according to the state. There is no right defined in the Constitution or Bill of Rights that encompasses it, HOWEVER, there IS a right defined for keeping and BEARING arms. I guess we could all argue that the ARMS have to be worn where ALL can see in order to "BEAR" them and there for concealed carry is a privilege. If that is the case, I would gladly turn in my permit and just start OPEN CARRYING!!!!
  22. Midtown, Memphis - Where you can say I live next to a Blue Hair and not be talking about an old person.
  23. Add me to the list of Geeks with Guns. I am a network admin/database engineer that has been working on computers for about 10 years now. Still working on the certs to go with it, but one day. I also am working on getting out of debt so I can have more money to pay for kids educations and guns.
  24. Welcome to the asylum. Enjoy your stay.

    Glock Safety

Actually, Molon, I am wanting a P99QA I think. I almost bought one when I got my Glock 19 but the Glock just felt better at the time. Oh well, one day they will all be mine.
