  1. Wow, no one in Memphis wants to go? I was thinking the Outback in Cordova would be a nice place to take the wife however they are usually WAY busy.
  2. I think if this passes the Senate tomorrow I will have to take my wife to Chili's or Outback for dinner to celebrate. I will keep informed tomorrow for sure.
  3. Canyn, You will probably get a response from his office and might even get a phone call. If you do, remind him that not a year ago he spoke to a friend of yours and stated that he didn't have a problem with people sitting in Applebee's and carrying their firearm. That being said, the only advice I can offer, other than the letter was a good one, is to slow down when writing these things and proof read them before hitting the send button. Restaurant only has 1 "U" in it.
  4. Of course Inspector Godwin of the Memphis PD is right there in the front row!! Good job, now go protect Willie.
  5. I like it to listen to a lot lately. Need to learn how to play it on the guitfiddle.
  6. My thoughts were also that he was waiting for all the bills to hit his desk so he would do an across the board either way. We have 3 days to wait and see.
  7. Well, there isn't an option for No - the meeting interests me I am just unable to attend due to financial/vacation already planned reasons.
  8. The 92FS is an Awesome firearm. The first gun I purchased and CC'ed for the longest time. New should be in the $500 range. Used can be any where. Depending on the previous owner a used one would be the way to go. Marswolf, carried one in combat and personally for a long time. He always had GREAT things to say about them. Easy to carry single double action are awesome.
  9. I was in DC for the opening of this monument. A truly sobering sight and one of the few times I watched my father cry. The other was reading the words of the Gettysburg Address at the Lincoln memorial.
  10. I do like this part of the bill: Congress finds
  11. Kids pediatrician asked 1 time. Will never ask again. Their office is not posted.
  12. I am interested but the wife and kids don't want to go so I am not sure if I will ever get on the water. If anyone in Memphis is interested in teaching an old dog a new trick let me know.
  13. Wasn't that gun in Wanted?
  14. Current policy dictates that if you live in the Barracks then all personal weapons are to be kept at the armory. Chopin is one division at Ft. Campbell. Their captain sent the memo to their people way before he was asked to. If you live in base housing a la you are married and have kids then you must register them on base but may keep them in your home. If you live off base whether you are married or not then the don't ask don't tell policy takes affect.
  15. I am not a police officer or a lawyer but from the scenario given about the only charges I can think of that the "adults" could be charged with would be contributing to the delinquency and intoxicated in public.
  16. check out this post: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/279395-post5.html
  17. snopes.com: Fort Campbell Gun Registration A little truth to it. Only persons living on base must either register or store their firearms. Living off base you must do nothing.
  18. Thankfully I have a jeep so the roll bars make a great mounting place for those police accessories. Unfortunately I have a jeep so even with the locks it could be stolen.
  19. What Canyn said. Memphis is home only because right now I can't sell my house and my wifes GM is old and infirmed. Once those two things are taken care of Montana here I come! As for Mud Island, I think for a single person or just a husband and wife you could pick a lot worse place to live. For a family though it is not the place to be. No real grocery store, there are parks however for play time.
  20. Marriages take a lot of work. If you treat it well it will grow up nicely.
  21. Bredesen will sign it as he is "a friend of the NRA". Or he won't sign it and let it pass anyway with out signature. He will not Veto it.
  22. Yup, I will be happy to answer your questions after I have been checked out at the hospital and have my attorney present. Thank you.
