  1. Let's see, I have the option of "illegally" carrying my firearm into an establishment that serves alcohol even though I am not going to have any, or leaving it in my car where it could be stolen by some punk and then used on me as I leave the restaurant. I usually just avoid restaurants that serve alcohol even though I really enjoy some of them.
  2. Nicely put, Tungsten. Remember, those who give up freedom for security deserve neither. We must join these groups to help preserve a God given right.
  3. I have 2 GSD's. One is all Black the other is sable and black. They are great dogs. I wouldn't have anything else right now, though I have thought about Great Danes once the kids get older. I also have a Glock, but I drive a Jeep. I must not be that awesome.
  4. I am an easy pay life member, just thought it was the best thing to join to help with maintaining our rights. Do they get everything right? Nope, but neither do I. I have thought about joining GOA also, just haven't decided to do that one yet.
  5. Can you do these? http://intelligence-test.net/part1/ 19 and you are a genius.
  6. Yeah, I went back and looked at some things from Wally World about pricing and realized it was more at CheaperThan Dirt.
  7. This, to me, reads that I have the right to ship a firearm by common or contract carrier to a resident of my state or to a FFL in another state
  8. Cabela's has some bulk Wolf 9mm for $172.00 for 1200 rounds and includes 4 ammo cans. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=netcon-cat20837_TGP&id=0022867215170a&navCount=11&podId=0022867&parentId=&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IH&rid=&parentType=&indexId=cat20837&hasJS=true Or up to $212 for 1200 rounds of 115 grain US made 9mm http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=netcon-cat20837_TGP&id=0022867215169a&navCount=9&podId=0022867&parentId=&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IH&rid=&parentType=&indexId=cat20837&hasJS=true And from $83 to $370 for .45 ACP for 300 to 1200 rounds depending on Manufacturer. As always the ship 1 dry ammo can for each 300 rounds. Just to let you know. A little bit better than Wal-Mart.
  9. I frequent RangeUSA in Bartlett, TN. I am planning on getting there again real soon. (If the wife will allow it that is.)
  10. Unfortunately, right now, it seems that the majority of the people that I would talk to are on during the day, so, that kind of limits when I would be around to actually "chat" with anyone. I think my co-workers would get a little scared to hear me talking firearms to "no one in particular."
  11. Mars - what was that VOIP program that was used on the other board where you could talk to other members that were on line? Ventrillo or something like that? I don't think it ever really took off to well. It is good to see so many like minded people in one place.
  12. Dang, the only thing I can trade at the gun store is my hard earned money for a new pistol.
  13. I do not plan on being offended. I plan on having a good time and enjoying my stay. My point was only that some people might be offended by something that gets posted. We do have a few female members and as we all know, boys will be boys, so in order to prevent people from being run off by a thread that gets out of hand, there should be (and is) a way to have it removed before angering anyone. Glad you have thick skin Reef, I am sure it comes in handy.
  14. I'll do it too. I am usually on and off most of the day. I have the time to look over things. My expertise in firearms is not great, but I do what I can.
  15. Glock - I was going to say, don't people look at you funny all the time? Aren't you awfully busy watching everyone around you?
  16. Sorry, guess I should have checked that. No ones posts have offended me, but I can see as the forum grows, some one disobeying the rules and posting inappropriate material.
  17. I know it may sound petty, but what about a way to report possibly offensive posts to Admin?
  18. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I am a bit paranoid and concerned about how easy it is to get personal information about a total stranger these days without their consent. I don't like it and I wish it would stop. You should have to have my permission to look up information about me. The internet is a wonderful tool, but as we all know, a good tool in the wrong hands becomes a dangerous weapon.

+1 Molon - The military chooses weapons (now) based on some seriously strenuous torture test. Not just our military, but many police agencies across the globe are carrying Beretta's. Why? They are reliable. Forget the reports that you hear from Iraq now. That is not a case of the weapon being inferior but of the magazines being "old" and probably needing to be replaced. Think about it. The majority of military arms spend the majority of their time under lock and key with out being used. The M-16's at Basic are used to death, but once a soldier, seaman, airman, Marine gets to a duty station, their time on the range greatly decreases. Especially in the AF and Navy. The weapons are not used frequently or cleaned and the magazines wear out. I would love to see the military have a "open" range day where you (an active duty service person) with a valid qualification card, could go to the range and "borrow" a weapon and put as many rounds as you wanted through it. Maybe they could do something like have you bring your own ammo for it but that would definitely ensure that the guns are working properly when they are needed. Maybe a fee to clean them if you don't feel like doing it afterwards, but that would just be spare duckets in the armorers pocket.
  20. Molon - first, since this woman has not expressed her agreement to a background check, isn't that an invasion of privacy/slightly illegal? Second, don't you need a social security number in order to get an accurate background check? I know there are hundreds of people that share my same name (probably thousands in the entire world) so in order to get the most accurate information on the first go round, I need as much accurate information to begin with. Now a search of the local assesors website might give you the information you are looking for. I know here in Shelby County, you can look up property ownership by name. If they are renting you are screwed on that aspect, but if they own a home, you might be able to determine their whereabouts.
  21. 2000 Silver, he has an old phone number for her. She has changed phone numbers on all of her phones. No known address.
  22. My wife buys me presents from Bass Pro Shops. Speaking of which, I have a winchester .45 GAP if anyone wants to trade for a box of .45 ACP. I don't have a Glock Automatic Pistol caliber .45. I know I can take it back to BPS, but I figured if someone wanted to send me a box of ACP I would send them the box of GAP and it would be an even trade without me having to go to the store.
  23. Well, when all else fails, try stalking the town she lives in. Did she pay by check? I know stupid question, but I had to ask, because then you could possibly go to her bank branch and see if the manager could forward a letter to her. I know they won't give out her address, but if you are nice enough to them, they might do you the favor. Other than that, unfortunately, you have to chalk it up to lesson learned.

I shot one and was very impressed. I actually was about to purchase one until I picked up the G19 and it just fit better in my hand.
  25. Send her a registered letter is about the only thing I can think of other than stalking her.
