  1. I've got trijicons. They seem to work well.
  2. I procured some cardboard today. Hopefully will get some more. I'm planning on going and if someone from around Oak Ridge is going and wants a lift just holler.
  3. Quick update, here's the new director of my welcoming committee. http://www.springfield-armory.com/xd.php?version=73
  4. Model 8915-1 size 15 for my gun. Wearing it around the house to get used to it. Very comfortable.
  5. If she doesn't, you can ride with me.
  6. Can't carry in public yet, but went by and got an Uncle Mikes's IWB, less than $15 tax and all. Put in on with the XD, walked in the kitchen and asked my wife,"do you notice anything different?", held out my arms and turned around. "Oh, you've lost some weight."
  7. Finish your meal, let the owner know that you will never enter his establishment again and that you will urge all your friends to do likewise.
  8. More accuracy.
  9. "If it weren't for the two sisters, she'd be working at a Lane Bryant" Larry the cable guy.
  10. I double check my guns before dry firing, even my revolver. When at a store or show, if I have permission to dry fire I do the same. There is NO EXCUSE for a seller to have a loaded gun on display.
  11. I hear that from everyone I talk to who has one.
  12. This one: http://www.springfield-armory.com/xd.php?version=73 Love the night sights
  13. As we were told in our HCP class, "Ther are no firearms accidents, only carelessness.":screwy:
  14. Picked up 15 silhouettes yesterday. Should be able to get some cardboard from work. Looking forward to the meeting.
  15. Picked her up yesterday. Put about 100 rounds through her today. Smooth. It won't take long to get used to her. A lot easier to handle than my chief spl. I like the lable on the side of the case: NOT LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA
  16. did he have a pair of waders on?
  17. I talked about her, here she is.
  18. I'm definitely on as of now. Picked up my XD-9 yesterday, tried it out today and picked up a few targets for Saturday. I think I can find it with the directions provided.
  19. Two old guys are pushing their carts around Wal-Mart when they collide. The first old guy says to the second guy, 'Sorry about that. I'm looking for my wife, and I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.' The second old guy says,'That's OK, it's a coincidence. I'm looking for my wife, too. I can't find her and I'm getting a little desperate.' The first old guy says, 'Well, maybe I can help you find her. What does she look like?' ' The second old guy says, 'Well, she is 27 yrs old, tall, with red hair, blue eyes, long legs, and is wearing short shorts. What does your wife look like?' To which the first old guy says, 'Doesn't matter, --- let's look for yours.'
  20. I was talking with Phantom, he has an XD also, asked if there were any brands of ammo to avoid and he said he had no problems with any he had put in his.
  21. Many times when I am troubled or confused, I find comfort in sitting in my back yard and having a vodka and cranberry along with a quiet conversation with Jesus. This happened to me again after a particularly difficult day. I said "Jesus, why do I work so hard?" And I heard the reply: "Men find many ways to demonstrate the love they have for their family. You work hard to have a peaceful, beautiful place for your friends and family to gather." I said: "I thought that money was the root of all evil." And the reply was: "No, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is a tool; it can be used for good or bad". I was starting to feel better, but I still had a few burning questions, so I asked it. "Jesus," I said, " What is the meaning of life? Why am I here?" He replied: "That is a question many men ask. The answer is in your heart and is different for everyone. I would love to chat with you some more, Seno r , but for now, I have to finish your lawn."
  22. I'm going to try to make it. I checked the directions and they seemed easy enough. Anyone from around Oak Ridge know the driving time, and maybe want to ride along? I'll be bringing a .22 Marlin, .38 Chief's Spl. and my new XD-9.
  23. I seem to remember a woman shooting herself at Coal Creek a few years ago. But this was no accident, it was a suicide.
  24. I've been testing one at the range. I like the feel and trigger pull. Everyone I've spoken to who has one likes them. Seems to be a lot of them carried by gun store owners/employees.
