  1. I called on July 16th, (I had turned in paperwork and fingerprinted on May 30th), was told they were waiting on my background check. I got a call on July 23rd saying my permit was processed on July 16th. It arrived on the 24th.
  2. I probably won't go myself. A lot of the stuff I saw last time was overpriced. I don't want to shoot re-loads in my XD, I have plenty of ammo for my .38 and it will become a "safe queen" once I get a Seecamp.
  3. Does R&K "post" their shows?
  4. Thanks, I tried google, but couldn't find much. He said someone offered him $10k for it. But I'm not sure if the man was serious, he said the man was a Vietnam veteran and was eccentric.
  5. I had a great time, the russian rifle kicks a bit. Enjoyed watching Cody put my shotgun to good use.
  6. Have a friend with a pistol, I haven't seen it, but here's what I know. Brought back by one of his friends from Vietnam. 7.63mm Chi Con, 8 round clip. Stainless finish with red star on both grips. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Leaving to go by Wal-mart, then going to meet Cody to head to the shoot.
  8. I've got a 39A myself, had it for 30 years. Great little gun. I may bring a little of my .22 ammo and see if I can try yours.
  9. I couldn't bring myself to comment on that one.
  10. This story was in a post here, I think it was called Pure Evil. Had one of the perps being interviewed. The guy had no soul whatsoever. http://xavierthoughts.blogspot.com/2008/07/evil-among-us.html
  11. I think the average is 8 days when they say that.
  12. Yes it does, check out my post in concealed carry and self defense.
  13. have stolen the camera. http://splodetv.com/video/why-we-carry
  14. Made 2 trips to Wal-mart today. One with my .38 and one with my XD-9. No problems or strange looks. Went by Phantom's, he said he didn't see the XD. IWB and a big shirt.
  15. I'm bringing a little over a dozen pieces of cardboard with me. And more than enough targets for myself. Are shotguns allowed. If not no problem. See you there.
  16. Got my permit today, it was issued on July 16th. I had called on the 16th and was told they were waiting on background check. Will have to wait til tomorrow for my Wal-Mart trip. Gotta get some ammo for Saturday.
  17. Woo hoo. No longer will I have to carry my ammo seperate from my pistol to the range. Paperwork turned in on May 30th. Called on July 16th, they said they were waiting on background check. July 16th is my issue date. See some of ya'll Sat.
  18. Know that it's on the way, but the waiting is almost as bad.
  19. Hope so, I'll be there with my firearms either way. Just may have to carry them seperately from my ammo. Got some targets and cardboard to take along.
  20. I put in my paperwork and was fingerprinted on May 30th. 47 days approx.
  21. Sitting at my computer, filling out Wal-Mart survey for a chance at a prize. Cell phone rings, look at CID and notice 615 area code and think maybe I should get this. A lovely lady, April I think, I forgot in all the excitement, informed me that my HCP was mailed(or was it processed?) on July, 16th. Now I must wait 7-14 business days for it to get to me. She wanted to verify my address. Any way, I will hopefully be making my obligitory trip to Wal-Mart soon. One in Oak Ridge has some great ammo prices anyway.
  22. Changes his stand on the issues.
  23. And at times, comical.
  24. I got printed on May 30th. I think I'm almost to the point of losing it.
