Was fingerprinted on Nov 1st and wait continues.

Well my friend made to DMV this morning and has an appointment at 10:30 tomorrow to have her fingerprints done. Then the wait begins.

My friend completed her HCP class yesterday and shot very well. Now she must get to DMV to process application and get fingerprinted. This might not be until the thirty first as she has other things to do this week and won't be home to get her BC until next weekend.

That's what I use year round is Hornady Critical Defense in 9mm.

Hognut, I am bringing a friend Saturday and she is waiting for her IDPA info. If she does not have her number by Sat. can we send it to you when it is received? Also this will be her first match.

We will be shooting whenever possible and I currently shoot in IDPA and she will join me as soon as she has all the equipment needed. She got the 4.25 inch barrel M&P.

My friend had a class to learn how to shoot the being of September and tried several guns there. Then we went and rented some guns for her to try. She liked the M&P 9mm. We tried to find one but no one could get one right now. We went on Gallery of Guns and she was able to get one from them and picked it up yesterday in New Johnsville at Millers Gun and Pawn. They were very nice and she is now the proud owner of a new M&P. She has her HCP class scheduled for Oct. 22nd by the Humphreys County Sheriffs Dept..

I went to the Fighting Pistol course a few years ago and I was 68 then and had no problem. I used an XD in 9mm and had no problem. Great class and hope to make the alumni weekend this year. I usually take a course every year but my wife was in ill health and just passed last month.

Felt good to get out and shoot again. They were great stages and my rifle performed great as usual and I did hit a few targets for an old guy.

I hope to be there as I haven't shot since my late wife's illness started in January. I sure do miss her. Maybe this shoot will be good therapy.

If you are shooting IDPA you should use the gun you carry. If you don't you are using what they call a cheater heater..........LOL.

Since I received no replies that anyone was coming to the meeting the meeting has been canceled. We hope to try again in the near future.

The meeting is scheduled but I would like a count of how many can make it or maybe make it. You do not have to be a member of TFA to come to this meeting. We are trying to start a chapter in this area which includes Humphreys and all the surrounding counties. Please PM me and let me know if you can make it or maybe make it. This is at the Four Seasons Restaurant, US Hwy 70 West, New Johnsonville, TN. There will be a buffett at a reasonalble price from 5:30 pm - 7 pm. Meeting will start at 7 pm and last about an hour.

I have a tactical and a service but no subcompact. I love both my guns and have many rounds through them. My service is my EDC. I use my service in IDPA and my tactical in 3 gun. Enjoy yours.

Great match. I didn't stay for the shotgun match. I did find out that I need new bullets as mine seem to miss the targets.

There will be a TFA meeting for the purpose of starting a chapter in the Humphreys, Dickson, Huston and other surrounding areas who do not have chapters now. The meeting will be held on Monday January 17, 2011 at the Four Seasons restaurant on Hwy 70 West in New Johnsonville. 6 - 7pm eat and greet and 7 - 8pm meeting. Put this on your calendar and further info will be sent out when we get closer to the meeting date.

Great match and had a great time. This old guy sure got wore out. Guess its back to the gym again.
