  1. Didn't Friday. No 9mm of any kind. Or .45. Or 00 buckshot. Or ... Turkey Creek Wally's had 9mm and seemingly most everything else 'cept for .45. - OS
  2. Well, I doubt they will be selling many of THOSE, then... - OS
  3. Can assure you that Gallaher View Walmart does NOT sell guns. You can't even ORDER one there. - OS
  4. 2 dollars more than what? which charter? - OS
  5. If it were mine, I'd just try what has worked on paint since paint was created. Try very small least noticeable area with turpentine or acetone first. - OS
  6. Oh, that's just MSRP. Charters will go for about 75% of that, tops. SP101 will stay at around $450 or better... - OS
  7. Oh, it doesn't really matter I guess. Just wondered if intentional or a glitch. Probably just the yenta in me wanting to see details of deals gone wrong. (although a potential buyer/seller to one of those individuals might indeed gain some additional insight - or not). - OS
  8. I see them, just can't open them. Went to yours, can see the short comment, but the "(more info)" link brings up the "OhShoot, you do not have permission to access this page..." You can only access the ones LEFT FOR YOU, or ones YOU HAVE LEFT for another. Not a huge deal, just wondered if is a glitch, since it's rather non helpful for only the two parties involved in the transaction to read it, as they already know the score, eh? - OS
  9. It does work, and provides about the only realistic venue to buy/sell gun related stuff within the region. And hard to beat free! And 30/50 thing does indeed give the venue much more integrity. Again, Tungsten, the question: what is the purpose of the detailed feedback comments, which can't be accessed? Shouldn't one be able to read them, if considering dealing with the party for whom they were left? - OS
  10. That is correct according to TNDOS site. At least you didn't wait 6 months - you would have had to have done the entire process again, including school. http://www.tennessee.gov/safety/handgun/renewals.htm - OS
  11. See upper right hand corner? Home · Search · Profile · Upload Products "Upload Products" takes you through dialogue to do it. It's somewhat limited in form, in that you have to put (5 or 6) pictures separate from text, rather use IMAGE tag to imbed them within text... I have several I've been promising myself to do, soon as I get a round tuit. - OS
  12. That would be the Webley-Fosbery Self-Cocking Automatic Revolver. Exactly right...anybody make a decent IWB holster for it? Heck, that deserves better than one measly cookie...you'll have to find the milk. - OS
  13. LCR has Hillary Hole too, JFYI. Hidden under the grip. - OS
  14. Well, the tube simply unscrews counter clockwise. Is that sling adaptor actually all the way around the tube like it appears? If so, the only way it got on there was putting tube through it, threading the tube in, so the tube must be able to turn within it. Sometimes those tubes can be quite seized. Take a pair of channel locks or vise grips to it (with a towel or something around it to keep from marring finish). It should simply unscrew. Be ready for a spring quite a bit longer than the tube itself to jump out of there as you remove it. Most shotties have some sort of bracket that holds tube to barrel (the 870 comes with one) just to brace the tube, but I see that this sling adaptor wedges against the barrel to give that stability, I guess. If you're not going to use it, might be a good idea to replace with another brace. When you put tube back in, oil the threads and just go hand tight. - OS
  15. I was sussing out Dick's in W. Knox last Friday for something else, and remembered this thread...they didn't have the 702 semi-auto, but did have the 802 bolt w/ magazine for the $119. I also had $35 coupons burning hole in pocket, was gonna use for ammo, but their ammo has been sky-high for a while...so verily, the Plinkster joined my arsenal. Will report after I shoot it... - OS
  16. DA/SA means the gun can be fired in either Double Action (simply pulling trigger, which cocks and fires gun) or Single Action (cocking trigger manually, then firing with trigger). Each time you fire, you "select" SA or DA. The revo in first link has a cockable hammer, it's just shrouded, unlike the revo in the second link, which has full thumb hammer. There are semi-auto pistols which really CAN fire DA on first round, and then become SA on subsequent rounds, and I thought you were actually claiming there was a revolver that could do the same. - OS
  17. TGO has a review section. Maybe a better use for your idea...do a comprehensive writeup with pics...it has really been way under-utilized.... - OS
  18. I don't see anything called "el dorado" but Starfire seems to be PMC's top o' the line SD stuff: http://www.pmcammo.com/starfire.html I've shot PMC Bronze FMJ at range several times, performed bout same as others in that class of ammo like WWB, UMC, and Blazer. Made in Korea. - OS
  19. Related to that, just noticed that if you go to a specific feedback comment, and click the "(more info)" to get detailed comment, says I don't have rights to view it. Is this a glitch? If not, why is that extra info even there? thnx, - OS

    SUPER BOWL

It was well enough scripted so that I stayed awake. Sort of like rassling. - OS
  21. That would be like de-evolution, the survival of the lamest. - OS
  22. I live in an apartment...if assailant doesn't find me without hearing my shotgun rack, he's probably too stupid to actually ambulate and wouldn't be present in my digs in the first place. If he hears it rack and runs, good, saves me lots of police/legal/psychological involvement. (although I'm sure I'd always somewhat regret that he escaped to cause grief elsewhere). - OS
  23. Sounds like you just said you found a revolver that cocks itself after the first round? Lay that on us again? - OS
  24. The common lament I've seen on gun forums re Taurus: The warranty is forever. It takes forever to use it. Condolences, OS
