There is as yet no evidence that any Palestinian will be relocated to the US because of this act: From: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/o/obama-palestine-refugees.htm Summary of the eRumor: A forwarded email saying that President Obama has signed an executive order granting a $20,300,000 expenditure to allow hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees who are loyal to Hamas to immigrate to the United States. The Truth: According to published reports, in January, 2009, by the Associated Press, President Obama authorized an emergency contribution of $20.3 million solely for "urgent relief efforts in the Gaza Strip." The State Department issued no statement regarding any plans or policies for immigration of Gaza refugees out of the Middle East. The U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance (ERMA) fund was set up in accordance to the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 where the President of the United States may determine that funds be released to aid refugees for relief and migration. President Obama issued this determination on January 27, 2009. Click here for the Presidential Order The authorization was issued a day after the United Nations launched an appeal for $613 million to aid Palestine in recovery efforts. The article said, "The money will go to U.N. agencies and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which are distributing emergency food assistance, providing medical care and temporary shelter, creating temporary employment and restoring access to electricity and potable water." There is an official release detailing the distribution of funds on the America.Gov web site. Click for details. This was shortly after the world focus was on Gaza when Israel launched a military operation that lasted three weeks in efforts to neutralize Hamas rocket launchers that had been targeting Southern Israel. Many locations within the Gaza area were deemed targets by Israel including Hamas intelligence headquarters, locations of rocket-launchers, squads, and a tunnel used for smuggling weapons from outside sources. The outcome of the Israeli operation dealt a severe blow to Hamas with an estimate of $2 billion in damages reported along with the deaths of 1,300 Palestinians including Hamas commando Mohammed Shalpokh which Israel blamed for the rocket attacks against them from northern Gaza. It is not uncommon that a President issue such an order. President George W. Bush determined that funds be sent to refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, and Sudan more than once during his terms in office. updated 02/11/09

Just a note, the HKS is generally conceded to be the best. But it won't drop .357 or .38 all the way down into the cylinder; you have to let it loose about halfway in. This with stock grip. Some 3rd party grips don't allow use of speed loader at all. The short cylinder hinge doesn't allow any speed loader made to put the shells all the way in flush. Just so you know... - OS

You said it... These whippersnappers, geesh. I spent some San Francisco time in the late 60's, worked across the street from the Fillmore. Sly and Family Stone at the Winterland for a buck. Free concerts in Golden Gate park, the Angels in charge of security, wow... Airplane, Dead, Creedence, Jimi, .... Like that.... Now that's OLD. Joni Mitchell rules! And don't eat the brown acid, OS

Also, free PowerPoint viewer from Microsoft. You'll have to search for it on MS site. - OS

Correct. And they would say that given the same penetration, the .45 would be preferable to 9mm because it's bigger. But in the context of this thread, 147 gr 9mm is not necessarily "bigger" than 124 or even 115 gr 9mm. - OS

"Any bullet which will not penetrate through vital organs from less than optimal angles is not acceptable. Of those that will penetrate, the edge is always with the bigger bullet." Note that 147 gr 9mm is no bigger (in diameter) than 124 or 115 gr 9mm bullet. I think that was the context of the "bigger" comment in the FBI report. Even though bullet expansion is not a consistent variable in real life use, it still figures into "bigger". Assuming both penetrate deeply enough, a 115 or 124 gr that expands more than a 147 gr. is the bigger bullet. - OS

Plus it offers convenient double targets. I like it. - OS

I'd say there's a good chance he might win the Nobel at some point. Try Blood Meridian if you want to see the starkest brutality of the Old West. He's a poet as much as a novelist. - OS

I found it gently toned down to "crap", yes? - OS

"gos-se" seems to be one of the accepted Mandarin transliterations according to the source I found. - OS

Rule is currently in effect as of Jan. 9. It was not a rule that O could immediately reverse with Presidential Order. It would have to go through the same rather lengthy rules process again, and there's been no indication that this process has been instigated. - OS

I actually enjoy your WallsOfTheCity, really; but could you possibly find more obscure euphemisms? (I did have a general idea of what "fisking" was, but "gos-se" was pretty tough.) Yours in obfuscation, OS

My Kahr PM9 had one seize in the pipe after firing, had to do same drill to get it out. Was harder to do than XD, 'cause it's harder to get a grip on such a little gun. Was WWB, had a dented case. My 1964 H&R .22 revolver has had a couple of shell casings that locked up in cylinder after firing. Had to use a punch to drive them out. But neither ever shot me in the azz like a .... oops, never mind. - OS

Well, ya know, you CAN fill out a bill of sale which he can keep for proof that it wasn't him that went on the killing spree with it, if it'll make him feel better. - OS

Pretty huge gulf between semi-auto and revolver. You don't even have a basic opinion about which type of firearm you'd like to carry? That said, I'll mention: - most would agree that any Smith in good shape is better quality than any Taurus - the Taurus has twice the ammo capacity - .40 and .357 are close enough together in oomph to be a non-issue - OS

No way. Blacks still make up less than 13% of US population and more significantly, blacks didn't vote in any higher % than in previous elections, and of course always vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. ANY democrat would have won this election, only a question of by how much. Obama probably got the FEWEST votes of any Democrat that could have gotten the nomination, mainly BECAUSE he's black. Just shows how much the American electorate was fed up with Dubya/GOP and the poor economy. - OS

More cant, the better concealment of the handgun butt. See my avatar ... that Bullard has about 12-15 degree naturally, and I've added at least five more by offsetting the clips (visualize by imagining them on belt), so I'd say I'm doing about 20 degree forward cant. Somewhere around 25 degrees, and my wrist/shoulder won't hardly bend enough to grab the gun without pain - OS

Well, sometimes they leave account open so that the first money that might come into it they can grab for creditors. 'Course, this is a small potatoes claim and all... If you use credit card through PayPal, you have more leeway. You can just contest it with CC company. Although you need to go through the PayPal claim first, or PP gets pissed and might close YOUR account. - OS
