  1. Sure. My snubbies are roscoes, and my semis are heaters. But they're all rods and gats. - OS
  2. Well, USPS money orders are 1.05, cheaper than that at mini-markets... Just sayin.... - OS
  3. You sure are young to have pissed off a gal that badly. I'm in awe, grasshopper. - OS
  4. Speaking of ripoffs of ripoffs, here's another Answer/MTAC/Crossbreed takeoff: http://cgi.ebay.com/IWB-Holster-Springfield-XD-XDm-9-40-45-4-5_W0QQitemZ170308504036QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item170308504036 - OS
  5. Well, it's interesting setup to me. I don't really understand the whole site...yes, all holster links lead to CURRENT eBay auctions. But they are all from different sellers, so I don't understand what the site owner gets for all the work? - OS
  6. Lordie. What if you have him take clothes off: are you aiding and abetting public indecency? What if you have him howl like a dog: disturbing the peace? Geez, maybe he's black, or gay: most anything you do might be considered a hate crime, eh? Truly bizarre hypothetical. My advice, don't lose sleep over any of those scenarios, including yours. - OS
  7. http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/ is also VERY good resource. - OS
  8. Crossbreed Supertuck: 69.75 plus shipping Kholster: 45.00 with free shipping. - OS
  9. All great advice... Without getting back into Glock/XD holy war or anything, my main carry choice came down to Glock 26 or XD 9 SC. Knowing as little as I did, it was clear that should I have to defend my life, it would likely come down to a quick point and shoot scenario. Pointing a Glock 26/27, then looking through sights - always significantly high, pointing an XD, right on. I'm sure I could have compensated with some practice, but ... Since then, have shot various Glocks and I'm just as accurate with Glock or XD using the sights, though I'm far from being a "good shot", but the "point shooting" differerence remains. Also, I admit I really liked the extra safety margin of the XD grip safety, mostly during holstering. Call me a weenie regarding that, I don't care. - OS
  10. Dang, they can DO that? - OS
  11. I don't understand. 10 round and 13 round is standard for that gun. 10 round mag is legal everywhere. You saying they sent you one that holds LESS than 10 rounds initially? - OS
  12. Well, I don't know it to be 100% true, just what I've read from seemingly more knowledgeable folks on other forums. I'd prefer to have a gun totally made and assembled in USA, but hey, Croats gotta eat too. And obviously LOTS of Austrians. - OS
  13. I thought they used Brazilian frames for all the 1911s. Plus other non-US parts. But of course it's "hecho in USA". - OS
  14. What's an EMP? Some folks in Geneseo slapping together Brazilian parts? Generally several times until they get it right? - OS
  15. I'll opine that there's little doubt about that, especially over time. I doubt many, if any, Kel-Tecs can have a 25,000+ round life... - OS
  16. Yeah, not sure what that's about. There's a Restaurant Carry map available at: http://opencarry.org/maps.html - OS
  17. Two ways to look at that "to the grave" thing. If any of us NEED thousands of rounds in the next few years for anything but recreational shooting, we probably WILL "take it to the grave" with us, before Father Time chimes in. Actually, more accurate to say, those left standing at the time will then "take it to their graves". - OS
  18. I have briefly shot a PF-9, 5 or 6 rounds, through some guys I met at a range a couple months ago. I had my Kahr PM9 with me, and let them shoot that a little also. Can tell you that the PF-9 kicked more than the Kahr, although I don't exactly know why, since they are similar in size and both "tupperware". But for SURE, the XD 9 SC will have less impact on you. It's still rather snappy, but is more of a "push" than a "snap", in same way that a .45 is more than a "push" than a "snap/flip" compared to .40. The tradeoff is that XD is a thicker gun, but it still conceals just fine for me as my EDC. On the plus side, you've got 10+1 in the short mag, plus a 16 round backup mag. PM me if you'd like to meet and shoot mine...last time I checked, Coal Creek didn't have one for rent. - OS
  19. Welcome aboard from another homey :-) Sounds like you'll fit right in here! best, - OS
  20. Also note that there are some additional specific knife type bans, regardless of length, as relates to school property. "It is an offense for any person to possess or carry, whether openly or concealed, with the intent to go armed, any firearm, explosive, explosive weapon, bowie knife, hawk bill knife, ice pick, dagger, slingshot, leaded cane, switchblade knife, blackjack, knuckles or any other weapon of like kind ..." - OS
  21. That's interesting. Coal Creek here in Knox (indoor range) lets you shoot slugs ONLY. What are the two contrasting policies based on, I wonder? - OS
  22. I'm not anywhere near there, but members report that Owl Hollow is still open, under different system: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17656&highlight=owl+hollow - OS
  23. To be precise, only one in which you can fire the gun without removing it from said holster. - OS
