Sure, just generally pricier than more "mainstream" pieces like Glock or XD. Being an XD guy, I'd also urge you to take close look at XD Sub Compact as you are comparing everything. - OS

1. Would you trust your life with a 9mm round (17 rounds to be exact)? (don't think that it is all you can get your hands on, would you choose it) I trust mine daily to 13+1 rounds of 9mm. Occasionally I trust it to 6+1 rounds of 9mm (but prefer the above). 2. Would you trust your life with a Taurus Semi Auto? No, unless I just couldn't really really find another $100-150 bucks or so for a better piece. 3. When carrying concealed, if the gun you felt most comfortable with was a bit too big to be perfectly concealed (the handle pokes out a bit in a shirt), would you still carry it or find a smaller gun? I'd find some way to better conceal, including a smaller gun as an option. But I'm quite a stickler for zero print. 4. This is a long one; As far as a hand gun carry permit, would I qualify?... Don't see why not. You'd qualify even if you were convicted of a $10 bad check charge (I'm assuming this wouldn't be a felony). - OS

Here, bro...I never deleted them from server: - OS

At the time I bought my Dual Carries from him, he didn't offer the black option except with his various OWB holsters. - OS

Have you ever wondered if WallyWorlds employes know???

Not the thing to do re a non-compliant notice, many threads onsite re this. Would you feel better when they put up a totally LEGAL sign so that no one could carry in a BiLo in Chattanooga? - OS -

Well, then I wouldn't worry about a concealed heater, sign isn't "legit" regardless of its size. But it'll be tough to conceal even a small dog. - OS -
No, I don't see any reason for it. The leather is plenty soft enough by itself. These aren't dipped in polymer or whatever some leather holster makers do that make em as stiff as kydex. And the last think you need is added thickness to an IWB holster, seems to me. - OS

What on earth gave you the impression you can't carry in a supermarket? Heck, I've carried in your BiLos down there, and I live in Knoxville. - OS -
Yep, I reckon it is of that direct ilk...good find. I'm surprised it's not older, figgered it was in same era as the FN Mike got the show before. Well, I looked at that Makarov 9, too, but I thought sure Mike's FEG also said "makarov" in pretty big letters on the other side. Could just be a 60's flashback though, I guess. Mike .357, please clarify?? edit: okay, just read your post above : I guess it was the brown acid from '69. Wow, you crack yourself up. - OS

I tried to research that a little. So it's a FEG .32, but says "Makarov/Budapest" also, on other side, best I remember? Means it's a Makarov "type/design"? Oh yeah, does it feed and fire? - OS

Bro, I did think about ya, but you'd already said you wouldn't get there till 2 or so, so figgered no way to meet ya...was there from 8:45 - 1. Though you missed the distinct pleasure of my company, you were actually better off without the Chilhowee Death Dog, I'm sure. What has been a gun show tradition for me, though, is going by Scruggs BBQ further in on MaggieNolia and bringing home a pile of the best ribs in 'Merica! Another time, hopefully, - OS

Yep, had a good time, but mostly because of TGOers...nice to meet TJ (70below) ... Was pretty much a deja vu of the last show, seemed to me. I swear most of the dealers and their wares seemed identically frozen in time. Weren't any more HighPoint carbines at whole show, so made me glad I had grabbed mine at the previous one... So since I wasn't interested in picking up 70 year old Translyvanian mouseguns or esoteric WW II carbines made by Amalgamated Widget, I didn't buy anything. Well, that half smelled better than that jacket! I think it was made from horsehide and they forgot to squeeze the horse**** out of that particular mustang first? - OS

More the truth is the following, from: http://www.breakthechain.org/exclusives/camelspider.html "The photograph above is a study in perspective. The creatures pictured do, indeed, appear to be camel spiders. However, most accounts describe them as "golf-ball sized" or "about the size of a child's hand," and not the monsters they appear to be above. The composition of the photo draws your eyes to the legs of the soldier in the background for size comparison, rather than the other soldier's sleeve in the right foreground, which is the more accurate perspective. Then, the intertwining of the two insects also complicate getting a feel for their true size. The photo below gives a better indication of the Camel Spider's true size." "The narrative included with the photo above is as misleading as the photo's use of exaggerated perspective. Solifugids are commonly called camel spiders simply because they share the desert with camels, not because they eat them. The spiders are, indeed, very quick and frighteningly aggressive. They have a strong bite, but rarely attack humans or larger animals. Primarily, they prey on other arthropods, like scorpions, but have been known to kill lizards, mice and birds. Many of the rumors about camel spiders (which technically aren't spiders, but are arachnids) commonly in circulation originated from the 1991 Gulf War. Other versions of the text accompanying the photo insist that these creatures scream when they run, are capable of running 25 mph and are extremely venomous. Reality, however, is not as horrifying. Camel spiders are quick, but far from capable of the speeds attributed to them, and are completely silent. They are fearsome hunters, but are not venomous, though their bite may produce slight numbness and extreme pain. Break this chain. I'm not a cop, not a lawyer, not a judge. It works for me and my well-concealed weapon. - OS -
That's why I use 9mm. Everybody knows you need a .45 to kill anything bigger than an Ewok. - OS

You wouldn't have to refuse to leave to be charged under the statute. Worst is $500 fine and a Class B misdemeanor on your record. I guess the charge would be carrying weapon on posted property or some such. Never seen incidence of one posted anywhere, though, so must be rare or non-existent. Certainly, if you made a big scene with LEO you could certainly be charged with other stuff, too. - OS -
Welcome from another Knoxville inmate ... er, resident. - OS

They're very concentrated in certain type areas ... biggest bunches I've always found around man-made habitat: loose rubble stone, strewn-around flat stuff, like roofing shingles, paving stones, lumber, and whatnot. - OS
