I popped by today...spent very pleasant little while looking and chatting with owner, Garell Foshee. Super nice guy, owner of the gun part (son owns rest of biz), started it when he retired a few months ago. Has mostly new handguns, few long guns, few used guns...might dicker/swap. Prices on new guns maybe 10% higher than say, Coal Creek...but understandable if you look at respective buying power/size inventory. Anyway, not a terrible selection of Glock, Springfield, Sig, SW (autos/wheelies), etc etc. Certainly, if Garell has something in stock I wanted that I couldn't get elsewhere, the price diff isn't gonna deter me. To be precise, it wasn't a bill enacted by Congress, nor a presidential order. It was simply a revision of Dept. of the Interior rules. I'm not clear on just what the impetus was behind it, really. I don't think Dubya pushed it? - OS

The fancier restaurants mostly sell booze. It's not a state park, it's a National Park, and with permit, you can carry in it. Concealed only. Except for "federal buildings", the definition of which is gray. You certainly shouldn't "check" with anyone. - OS

Carry? Hell, you can't even OWN a handgun in Chicago, unless you had it and registered it before 1983! All long guns, besides the FOID necessary to buy them, must also be registered with the Chicago police dept. - OS

I know enough from reading that all three are considered good to outstanding. Hardly any complaints. - OS

To be binding, signs must "substantially conform" to certain standards, most don't. Most malls are posted, in some form, at some entrances; generally those notices aren't "conforming". Hint: go into malls through the anchor stores rather than main entrances, and usually you can truly say you saw no signs. TN doesn't make a big enforcement issue out this, however. If you carry well concealed, the odds of you having any probs anywhere are near astronomical. You can't carry in place that sells booze for onsite consumption. Not even at a Red Lobster and such. Was just commenting earlier on another topic that I know of no case in which anyone has ever been charged with this, and looks like this may change soon. Again, even though you may open carry in TN with permit, a well concealed approach will cause you zero probs. Note that nothing I said above is to suggest that anyone break the statutes of the Tennessee Code Annotated. - OS

Well, the park abuts Gatlinburg, but GB is not IN the park. It's simply a TN municipality. Only that it's legal to open carry in Gatlinburg, but not in the park. Well, obviously he's wrong about NC in general...but I don't know about reservations. I never really thought about it, but I guess we don't have any reservations in TN. - OS

Note that holster is for PM/MK 9/40. Abailey said it fit his CW40, but I guess the CW barrel must stick out the bottom by .5 " or so? - OS
