  1. That's funny. You savage you. Blade freak myself...currently carrying 4. - OS
  2. Oh, I interpreted your stance that the federal law as not binding on the area of the PO you frequent. Mea culpa. Btw, what size pocketknife you carry? - OS
  3. Better read up on that "fact". Only effective for a gruesome looking wound. Maybe a now blind assailant. Might or might not stop the bad guy, but now you've also left a witness and possibly litigant still in your life. - OS
  4. It's not particularly important whether you convince us or yourself of this, eh? I'm sure that if you were ever charged, ANYwhere on the PO property, including the parking lot, would suffice for conviction if they wanted to press it. But why would they ever want to unless you created some kind of disturbance? You could always just open carry there until you finally get nailed, and then make your case in court! - OS
  5. Big, SHALLOW hole. Buckshot leaves distinct DEEP holes. Also, do your birdshot rounds have less powder charge in them than your buckshot rounds? That's the only reason the recoil would be less, eh? - OS
  6. I probably would have, too. Might have called them myself. - OS
  7. Anyone who would wear a colostomy bag at 3 o'clock or more would have to have a very strange intestinal routing. - OS
  8. The law uses the term "federal facility". "The term "Federal facility" means a building or part thereof owned or leased by the Federal Government, where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties." I'd say entire PO qualifies. You also can't carry a knife with 2.5" blade or longer. I'd say MANY violate THAT little rule. - Oh "concealed well is well concealed" Shoot
  9. Georgia Arms makes this round also. It's the same Gold Dot bullet on their ammo .. I see no reason why it's not the practical equivalent. I just shot 100 rounds of it to check reliability in my XD's and Kahr, all AOK. Can attest via the "feel" that it's certainly +p loaded. - OS
  10. Yah, I've found the stock grips to be just fine, .357 isn't painful and .38 is positively gentle. I also never wanted to try any other grip, because the stock grips provide excellent concealment compared to bigger/fatter ones. - OS
  11. That is covert scarier than any of the overt statements of policy I've heard since the election. - OS
  12. Absolutely. And one of them is simply to go socialize with friends who ARE gonna knock back a few. I don't drink anymore anyway, so the drill is not a new one for me - it's just that since getting HCP I have to decide between the friends' company or the pistol. I see no sane reason not to be able to have both. - OS
  13. I saw it. Like taking ears in Nam or something. Gag me with a backhoe. - OS
  14. I must say, I've never thought of it as "being made" when one is noticed open carrying. - OS
  15. Georgia Arms is out of components for most of their "canned heat". Might be longer wait than usual there for range grade stuff. I got hollowpoints in less than month, but still no idea on the range stuff I ordered. - OS
  16. Well, another caliber for the scavenger hunt, eh? Or did you already have a .40 of some kind? Nice piece, for sure... - OS

  18. You know it's hard out here for a pimp... Terrence Howard, Hustle and Flow Give Mike my 1/4 box - OS
  19. Actually, mine is deep red, just grabbed quick image. They were out of black or gray when I was ready to grab one. But I did tie a sweet little ribbon around it. - OS
  20. I've had a Sansa for several months, 2" x 1.5" x .5". 2 GIG model. Works fine, decent FM, will hold I dunno, 50 ripped CDs or more? Downside, only charges on puter USB port, no AC or DC adapter, and a full charge is only 6-8 hours worth of use. I guess I got ripped off according to DRM, paid about $40 at Best Buy for it. I also added a set of SkullCandy ear loop retainer type ear phones for it, got tired of included ear buds falling out (they were fine quality, just wouldn't stay in my ears). - OS
  21. All city, county, and state parks are off limits per existing statute. Technically, can't carry a "prohibited" weapon. The definition for that doesn't include firearms. The TN AG has issued opinion that it does, though. - OS
  22. Yeah, I'm all for just nuking the whole local parks thing rather than have this. It would be easier to start again from scratch than try to overturn a newer, actually more restrictive, statute, seems to me. - OS
  23. Yeah, I seldom go inside for much of anything... All the above the same with First TN 'cept the scan image thing ... which I admit is way cool... - OS
