  1. Hey, "7 rounds" is better marketing hype than "6+1, 2 3/4" only". I really like mine, btw...gonna shoot it some tomorrow at our little Norris get together: - OS
  2. That is correct. As designed. The 6 shot capacity is only for 2 3/4 inchers. - OS
  3. Welcome aboard, neighbor! - OS
  4. I just started new thread in "long guns" forum, since that's what it is... including first review I've seen. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/long-guns/21350-new-ruger-ar.html#post278499 - OS
  5. Thought I'd start a thread here in proper category, now that we know what the new product is. Jeff Quinn has the first review of it I've seen: Ruger SR-556 AR-15 Style 5.56mm Semi-Auto Carbine - OS
  6. Called the Norris PD, seeing if they'd do yearly membership a little early... Nope. Yearly runs 6/30 to 6/30 and is 30.00 Daily has gone up to 15.00. - OS
  7. Well, you STILL can't hardly get a LCP or LCR. I'd expect availability of this new baby to be just as scarce for a long time. - OS
  8. Make sure the fore end is racked ALL the way forward? There's a little bit of play in it, cocked or uncocked. As you have to force shells in harder against the spring tension in the last few rounds, one tends to hold BACK on the fore end for leverage. Maybe not it, but that will definitely stop things. edit: I assume you took spring/follower out of mag tube to make sure spring not screwed up or follower out of round or some such? Incidentally, many recommend that you replace the flimsy stock follower with a Wilson combat one, or similar, but that's probably not your immediate problem. - OS
  9. Didja know that if you remove cookies from one of these poll sites, you can vote multiple times? This one, for example, in FireFox, Tools-Options-Privacy-Show Cookies. Remove all from nooga.com (actually just one of them is poll related, that would probably suffice). Then you can vote again. Most work similarly. - OS
  10. I'm sure THAT'S true enough. - OS
  11. Hmmm, never really thought about that... I've only owned one bolt action rifle, and that's a .22, and can work bolt with safety on. - OS
  12. I'm trying to think why that is a minus? - OS
  13. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/2nd-amendment-issues/21229-new-attempt-national-park-carry.html#post277962 - OS
  14. Amen. From the time he left the governorship his only goal was to be POTUS. Every other position he has taken only to keep his hand in and his ass in the brightest spotlight he could find. He brought the Univ. of TN to its knees during his brief and uncaring reign, and it has never really recovered from state legislative funding reprisals against his malfeasance. Lamar's idea of his average constituent is that of a smelly ignoramus who doesn't know how badly he's being screwed. "Lamar is for Lamar" sums it up pretty well. - OS
  15. You CAN carry in banks, unless they are PROPERLY posted. (a simple gun pic w/ slash through it doesn't cut it). TN laws re weapons at: Legal Resources You want Title 39: Chapter 17: Part 13 Condensed version good sources are: Handgunlaw.us (click on TN on map) and NRA-ILA :: (click on TN on map) best regards... - OS
  16. Not only does your tale have NOTHING to do with a cyber transaction, but the good Samaritan story itself makes no sense (as far as being screwed). Even the math is wrong .. you gave him two hundred but feel screwed for one hundred, for some reason. Was his name Jack Daniels or Jim Beam? - OS
  17. He's looking for leather first. - OS
  18. It is. They are both Class A misdemeanors. - OS
  19. Not to mention illegal, for that one. (4.85") - OS
  20. Believe me, there are a bunch of leather makers out there that offer this. Just google: leather magazine + flashlight holster and similar and start researching. Top of my head, TT Gunleather has a nice one. OWB Mag Light combo Holder He makes this one with slots or loops. Bad part is he's about 4 months on regular holsters, dunno if same kind of turnaround for accessories or not, but you can ask him. My main man David Bullard used to show them in product line, but now only shows mag carriers, but you can email and ask, I'm guessing he'd still make one, with much quicker turnaround: http://dmbullardleather.com Lots of others out there, really... - OS
  21. Welcome aboard from another Knoxville inmate..I mean, resident. - OS
  22. Doesn't hurt the meat at all, though, the larva is under skin only. I've eaten many a squirrel that had "wolves" in them. - OS

    Snake!

Well, your whole area is not considered to be within cottonmouth range. But if you say so, I guess it's so. - OS

    Snake!

"moccasins" ARE cottonmouths. Corals are the rarest of all ... did you match the color to color bands? - OS
  25. Oh Shoot

    Snake!

You guys crack me up. It's unlikely that anyone on this forum has actually seen a cottonmouth in the wild, even those of you who actually live where you could, and certainly not around Franklin, for example. - OS
