  1. I dunno...other forums have pretty much the same lament for most all the states. But to add to it, TN is "the patron state of shootin' stuff". - OS
  2. Ah, a typo smiley, reckon. Would have recognized ":D" or ":-D" - OS
  3. Just gimme a PM when you firm plans, I'll see iffen I can meetcha! - OS
  4. They've only been to 2 in the last year or so...there's a Gun Show Schedule on their site. They travel far and wide over the southeast, usually more than one gun show per weekend. And yes, I think walk in sales are same price, just no shipping obviously, if it's in stock. Note that some of the "Canned Heat" stuff is listed as not available due to component shortage ... don't know if that means they have none in store too or not. - OS
  5. Ah, Cajun, I get it. - OS
  6. The French. The tattoo is a fleur-de-lis. - OS
  7. So, you love the Frogs, or what? - OS
  8. Totally agree! Makes dem Mosins seem much tamer, that's for sure. - OS
  9. Besides that one, there was another, for $500, guy was willing to dicker. It had even longer barrel, which they don't make anymore. I really want the 4 5/8 one, for some reason. - OS
  10. I just shot one today! Not painful at all, just sort of umm, violent. I kept the brass as souvenir, really. - OS
  11. Common prob with that stock, with even the stock mags...can affect feeding too, not just the fit, and yeah I think the solutions are filing/dremeling, whatever. Of course, if you can actually get those Pro Mags to run AT ALL consistently, you're already on the very short list who claim they work. I don't have that stock, but have read about it on the two HiPoint forums... Holler at me some time, we'll go shooting...I was just working out probs on magazine lips shooting my 995 today ... - OS
  12. Not sure that is worth a 200 mile drive, though. http://www.tn.gov/twra/firingranges.html - OS
  13. Well, I needed something with good warranty. I can't wait 3 months or more to get a piece of bling replaced on a Taurus! By the way, ran 74 flawless ball and hollow point +p rounds through that HP "compact" 9 today including using one of the carbine mags. Toward the end I even got the sights tweaked well enough to actually keep them all on 8x11.5 paper, at whatever distance that first target row is. Dunno why I've spent so much money on real guns. - OS
  14. I wouldn't wear HCP badge unless it has colored lights that strobe. If I can find one of those I'm gonna open carry this to go along with it: - OS
  15. Yeah baby yeah! Now if I can find a HCP badge with colored blinking lights, I'm all set! And if I do, I'll start open carrying this: - OS
  16. Yeah, I've bought two from them in the last year also. Folks out of Selmer, TN. - OS
  17. Only if you like Kydex... I do agree with Titan to a large extent, though. From my experience, butt length on the pistol is what makes or breaks concealed carry, and I mean really WELL concealed carry. I do quite well with my XD subbie, but the extra butt on my XD Service always sticks out in back of shirt. The extra barrel length matters not, but the butt makes a real diff. It is also true, though, that a slim gun like single stack 1911 has some significant concealment advantages compared to thick guns like many of the most popular double stack striker pistols, most notably of course, Glock and XD. - OS
  18. Undoubtedly marketed in the Yukon, for Eskimo gloves. - OS
  19. Yeah, a Glock is just a Glock. It's not even an XD. - OS
  20. So a Walther .22 is just an odd and end...wow, talk about jaded! - OS
  21. How would you know? (Bud Lite ain't beer). - OS
