  1. Ah, certainly that was never in question...I really like mine, too, and though XD subbie has taken over mostly for EDC, the Kahr in the pocket still does duty maybe 30-45 days out of the year. - OS
  2. Oh, why didn't ya say so? What kind of holster? D.M. Bullard makes nice all leather holsters in about 30 days. See my avatar for the IWB one, although I'd never try to conceal a XDM in the first place. I thought everybody used those X2 lights/lazers on XDs, assuming you want a quality one? - OS
  3. PISTOLGEAR | XD HOLSTER, MAGAZINES AND MORE All XD and XDM, or XDM only page. 1 each of everything on that page can be yours for under two grand! - OS
  4. How could this possibly be legal, to duck a state wide statute like this? Think of all the carry permit holders not only from TN but from other states, who look at state law, then show up in good faith they are following state law, only to be possibly arrested in a municipality. Surely, the state AG or his office can put the kibosh on these end runs somehow? - OS
  5. You had it right the first time, whippersnapper: - OS
  6. Awfully long thread without any pix. So I don't believe any of it. - OS
  7. You'll have to send the big bucks for the first fix, then I'll tell you. Naw, really, sorry, no advice on the slide stop issue. I'm fairly big guy, not small hands at all (but not huge either), and I just don't have prob with it biting me. At least you're not dropping the mag during shooting. A friend somehow hit the mag release button all three times in a row he tried to run a mag's worth from my PM9. And that has NEVER happened to me. And then, months later, his little Beretta .22 slide took a piece out of MY thumb, something that has never happened to HIM. Go figger. I guess you're just gonna have to make an effort to bend that thumb down some from the knuckle or something...best of luck. - OS
  8. Now, now...it wasn't a rebuke, ya know...you don't lose any points or anything! - OS
  9. Technically, that is a K9 she uses, not PM or MK.
  10. With vibration of shooting, it works its way down. Push it flush back up into fame with flat part of screwdriver or something. It WILL go back into the plastic flush or even inset a little if you use very small punch. - OS
  11. Won't matter, bro. Almost certainly you won't be legally carrying in Davidson County/Nashville City parks. - OS
  12. No, it's on you. Unlike perhaps individual establishments, these big counties will not care if their signs are "legal"; it will be up to YOU to prove they aren't when they arrest you. Or you can be the test case (deep pockets needed) which gets them to change to legal signage. Either way, we won't be freely carrying in these local parks. - OS

    Ruger SR9

How can you dry fire it without the mag in it if it still has the mag disconnect safety? - OS
  14. Either way, I'm pretty sure we won't be legally carrying in parks at least in the four biggest TN counties. - OS
  15. I'm predicting veto. And failure to override in this session. Hope I'm wrong for you all wanting to carry in state parks so badly. - OS
  16. Good point...of course you're right in that. It was too much to hope that the posting option would be removed like in some other states, where posting has no legal meaning. - OS
  17. Well, it's great that we can carry in (some/most?) restaurants that serve booze now. Time will tell how many (depending on postings). BUT, local parks carry is equally important to me due to my lifestyle, and I don't think there's any chance of my being allowed to do so in Knox County. A VERY "unclean" statute. Matter of fact, seems to be a squeaker if anyone's even gonna be allowed to carry in state parks either? This is still part and parcel with the local parks bill, yes? So if Gov vetoes, not sure there's enough to override this one as it was much closer the first time around? - OS
  18. Hate to be the downer, but I don't see it as a "clean" win, when biz can post to prevent it. I don't think most other states that allow "bar carry" have that provision? But still a great win, don't get me wrong. Just not a "total win" as some claim. - OS
  19. Ah, but time (and gun on hip) has mellowed me. A fair jibe, though.. Seriously, though, I won't care how long it takes to get renewal. - OS
  20. Yep, something's changed. Was there yesterday, I watched it. - OS
  21. You have receipt from renewal? If so, who cares how long it takes, eh? - OS
  22. Tonight’s Poll Do you believe that the guarantees of the 2nd amendment to keep and bear arms are a fundamental right of freedom and therefore should be guaranteed to every American in every state? Yes 92% 5357 No 8% 443 Total Votes: 5800 This is not a scientific poll
  23. Well, obviously it wasn't a rarity for you! But really, if even 10% of XDs did this inside of say, 10K rounds, methinks there would be a sizable clamor regarding a well documented problem, and methinks would be addressed by Springfield. After all, just as with Glocks, there are a lot of folks out there shooting XDs 500-1,000 rounds/month with range and competition participation. - OS
  24. You mean the .380 (12 oz)? Or the 9mm (14 oz) ? I imagine kick is 'bout the same? ....except that the 9mm is more likely to save yer bacon. ... and as Garufa mentioned, unicorns and .380 are in similar supply. But you're right about one thing, at about $100 per ounce, taint cheap! - OS
  25. So the .380 and the 9mm are same size? And both hold 6 rounds? Ummm, then, ... why would you (or anyone) want the .380 ? Is that part of the sanity check? - OS
