  1. They do have to post their admin buildings (except for courts), but not those for recreational purposes - part of the existing local parks statute. But I assume if the new parks thing passes, they WILL have to post them too. (although I don't think it will be enacted) - OS
  2. I'm predicting that "the fix is in" over there, and the local pols in Nashville will "see the light" of the wisdom of our esteemed legislature. And the Word will go forth unto all the other dominions of the land. - OS
  3. You know, there is no telling who's talking to who behind the scenes here. I mean, everybody's in NashVegas: the legislators, the AG, the Gov...there's really no way to know who is telling who what they might do if this, if that... Matter of fact, it seems to me almost certainly there has been interaction between the Metro Council and state folks - why? Because nobody 'cept the Council has spoken out to the press yet, generally a sure sign that something IS being "worked out" (read: "coerced"). And if "worked out" there, you can pretty well bet that the other TN burgs will "get the word". - OS
  4. If you are still commenting about open carry in restaurants that serve booze, that "right" will (in most places) exist on July 14. Whether it's wise or not can be debated, but there's no doubt there will be beau coup folks sauntering into TN restaurants that serve booze with a piece in plain view, just as they do now in restaurants that don't serve booze. - OS
  5. Del Fatti is "Building orders from: February 2007" Coal Creek Armory in Knoxville is the exclusive outlet for Brommeland short of ordering directly from Gary and waiting, and waiting, and ... See avatar: D.M. Bullard is a fine holster maker, and has about a 30 day turnaround. A year ago, when I first learned of him, it was 2 or 3 days, so he's been "found". - OS
  6. Zactly. Keith did season 1, David did seasons 2 and 3. - OS

  8. 6 months before expiration. There have been reports that certain DOS personnel have denied that, since they thought it was too early, so take copy of the rules from DOS site with you if you're doing it in person. - OS
  9. No. At BigJ45's in Andersonville. Meet: 9:30 to 10 o'clock at Shoneys I-75 exit 122 (north of Knoxville) on June 13th 2009 it is. Breakfast and Blastin. - OS
  10. "Koodo" So, that's like laudatory voodoo instead of the zombie kind? - OS
  11. I got something from a nurse, too. But that was back when penicillin cured most everything. - OS
  12. I thought TheHighRoad.org was the ripped off and legally contested site? - OS

    Ruger SR9

Mysterious, indeed. I guess maybe you can get one without it, just not mentioned onsite. - OS
  14. Yep, and I've pretty much had it with all the Haslam dynasty. However, Tim Burchett is running for Mayor. Maybe after a term, he might be electable as Governor. There is no more 2A friendly pol in TN than Tim. (he has carry permit also). - OS
  15. Remember a few months ago when Colorado was going to quit honoring all out of state carry permits? An email campaign to the state tourist board reversed that decision in a hurry. I'm wondering if maybe you, David Y, as the man on this board, might want to post Nashville's proposed move on a couple of national gun boards, to see if same might happen. There was a big thread on DefensiveCarry.com on it, in the "Concealed Carry Issues & Discussions" forum. Could include email and snail mail contacts for the Tn Dept. of Tourism. Lots of folks come to Nashville from all over the country, eh? I'd do it myself, but would have more authority coming from you. (PMing this also) - OS
  16. Not posted period. I carried there (well concealed as always) about 3 weeks ago, hadn't been there in years. - OS

    Ruger SR9

Hmm. Ruger still shows all their SR9s to have it: Ruger SR9®: 9mm*Centerfire Autoloading*Pistols All 9 read, "Ambidextrous Manual Safety and Magazine Release, Reversible Backstrap and Magazine Disconnect" - OS
  18. How does your advice relate to those who prefer to exercise their rights to open carry? - OS
  19. oops, got holster makers' products mixed up. (second part of your thesis relatively accurate, though!) But I'll stand by the BHG statement re the XDM. - SO

    Ruger SR9

Well, I don't like them at all , but they DO work. Little push rod thing way down inside grip on my mighty Hi-Point; it ain't firing unless you push this in either with mag or with a pen or something, which is really tough to do while maintaining a firing grip on the gun. - OS
  21. Love that KD, I just can't conceal that BHG* *Big Honking Grip (as Kevin calls it). - OS
