  1. But you can see the linked pictures FROM them, yes? - OS
  2. Okey dokey, will do. Comcast? - OS
  3. ??? I don't get that. - OS
  4. Yeah, just razzin'.... Malfunction Junction through downtown is now reopened. I've been through it once; didn't realize that it only added one lane, though, so it'll be clogged again within a few years, I reckon. - OS
  5. You went home by way of Missouri? - OS
  6. My four seem to like a couple varieties of copper jacketed stuff better than leadhead. One out of the four has been problematic with the first half of the shells no matter what...Sat, just in desperation, I give the empty top part with follower showing a shot of CLP. Ran two mags's worth after that just fine. I know lube in a mag is generally a no no, but hmmm... It's unlikely I'll need to defend the perimeter with a 10/22, but if it ever comes to that, I'll prolly rely on the 10 rounders too! - OS
  7. Yes. "....in prominent locations about the public recreational property a sign, at least six inches (6²) high and fourteen inches (14²) wide, stating: MISDEMEANOR. STATE LAW PRESCRIBES A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF ELEVEN (11) MONTHS AND TWENTY-NINE (29) DAYS AND A FINE NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500) FOR CARRYING WEAPONS ON OR IN PUBLIC RECREATIONAL PROPERTY." - OS
  8. Well, it it's a misdemeanor; as with any misdemeanor, I believe the officer has option of arrest or written citation/summons. - OS

If you put the butt into the holster instead of the barrel end, it would REALLY conceal well! - OS
  10. Make it smell nicer while you're cussing it? Seriously, I can't see what benefit it would have, but what do I know? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methyl_salicylate Only remotely relevant thing I see is that it can lower freezing point. - OS
  11. TGO does not store member images, so you must link to them from a shared source, which your personal computer is not. Besides the photo sharing places mentioned, of course you already have personal webspace with your ISP where you can also put images and link to them. Comcast, Cox, ATT, Charter, etc. You just need to learn to put pix onto your already existing service, which can generally be found through the help pages for your ISP. - OS
  12. Ah, kewl...I got mixed up on who was shooting what. Isn't often we have such comprehensive coverage of a get together...enjoyed meeting you, thanks for the pix, and hope you've caught up on sleep! Greenego and Motasysco, a real treat meeting you both, and thanks for all your fine pix. - OS
  13. I saw guy shoot hole in bottom of his boat when I was a kid, too - below Watts Bar Dam. Pop and I fished the wingwall area a lot and two guys in an aluminum johnboat close to us, one hooks something big, finally gets it up to boat and it's a pretty big gar - anyway he has a revolver, shoots the thing a couple of times in the water and somehow as they're both standing up, rocking back in forth in the edge of swift water, he fires straight down in boat. Know he holed the boat and not his foot because his buddy starts yelling and cussing him, etc, and they're pulling anchor heading on downriver to the takeout pretty quick after that. He could have just cut the line. Maybe he thought it was a state record or something. I don't remember if they even pulled it into boat. - OS

  15. That mean it's mobbed, no room for beau coup gun nuts? - OS
  16. My god, I forgot to mention the Carcano! Thanks for bringing it ... it really WAS meaningful just to hold it and think of JFK in 1963. I was watching on TV when Ruby shot Oswald. Also forgot to mention shooting GreeneGo's Ruger SR9. I've always heard they are sweet shooting, and it's true. Really solid, very little recoil. It's truly seems impossible how that slim looking grip can hold so many rounds, too. And yep, I was purt sure you and BlackBeltChick spent some quality time together at some point. - OS
  17. But, but, but we still have a month to bicker! Wouldn't want to waste THAT. - OS
  18. Oh yeah, forgot to mention on my highlight reel: the concussion of the .50 actually killed Chris' electronic ear muffs! So you were better off with the old-timey model. - OS
  19. What a GREAT time! Many thanks to Jason for hospitality, and a super place to shoot. My highlights were: - confirming I've fixed the mag lip probs with the mighty Hi-Point GPDC (Ghetto Perimeter Defense Carbine) - finding another round besides Mini Mags that the 25 round banana mags like in the Ruger 10/22. - getting to shoot a Mighty Mauser and Mighty Mouse LCP (thanks Garufa). - and shooting clays with my 18" barrel Remington! I actually hit a few! (and learned to hand throw them). - and of course, shooting the .50 at 200 yards! GunGeek, express my thanks again to Chris II. That was MOST generous of him letting a number of us have a rip, at $5 a pill! I got to take two souvenirs away from shooting the .50. Kept a casing and a scab just forming on bridge of my nose! Chris told me TWICE to keep back from front of scope but dang if I must've leaned forward just as I squeezed, and a bloody good time was had by all! I rescued the BAD souvenir, the 'sploded 7.62x54 casing from Mike's Mosin. Nasty lookin'. Bummer. Another of Mike's high/lowlites was his full auto short burst RIA 1911! Take THAT, badguys! Oh yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised to find out that BlackbeltChick and Motasyco were hitched at some point! Hopefully, stay tuned for GreeneGo's pix of moi demonstrating the proper way to fire a Hi-Point C9. Just a super time, enjoyed EVERYONE'S company! - OS
  20. Why are they doing an anti-parks thing? They just have to post them all. Or you mean, they're just gonna announce the intent to do just that? - OS
  21. So, at a gathering celebrating firearm carry in booze serving restaurants, you ain't gonna carry? - OS
  22. Are we talking about the Nashville Metro restaurant beer board carry thing here, or what? If so, I thought that had been dropped, yes? - OS
  23. That's obviously not the final bill that passed, BubbiesDad. No mention of "no shell in chamber" and the "defense to having shell in chamber". - OS
  24. If they're not actively eating, ground hogs will generally stand up on rear legs and take a look around at things if they stay in one place very long. Heck, you'll see them like that on the side of the interstate some times, like they're just watching the traffic go by to loll away the afternoon. Has he whistled? Reason they're called whistle pigs. - OS
  25. Our host hasn't been inclined to post it. Guess you could try a PM at this late date. Leaving Shoney's at 10. Might have a few minutes leeway, might not, I dunno. - OS
