  1. MSRP on Kahr site is $549 for that gun. The CW's are the least expensive models. - OS
  2. They only make that model in the stainless slide. Yeah, triggers are looonnnggg pull. That's sort of their safety. But it's a smooth long pull. Good idea to shoot one first, just so you know what to expect. I have PM9, love it, but wanted more rounds for EDC in general. - OS
  3. You seem to know something about them. Suspicious. - OS
  4. They're not illegal. Just non-compliant. - Oh "nope, not a lawyer, really" Shoot
  5. Yep. Especially now with county/city rec areas and everything, feel like I need to carry another holster with a tiny lawyer in it. - OS
  6. Most every ISP gives you webspace for this kind of thing. Comcast gives you up to 5 GB, for example. Just search out the how to from your provider. - OS
  7. Federal law (for federal buildings) is LESS than 2.5". TN law is 4". - OS
  8. Excellent. I'm sure you're a proud dad, and should be. - OS
  9. I dunno. You ever carried a 2.5" or longer blade pocketknife into a post office? - OS
  10. Sure, I'll bring my Black Ugly too. I need to put it on a rest and see if I can get it within a foot or so of POA at 10 yards anyway. - OS
  11. Bob Booker, my own 6th district councilman, just returned my call from few days ago before the meeting (he's the only one who doesn't have email addy listed on webpage). He's totally AGAINST handgun carry in Knoxville parks. No how, no way, in any of them. Admitted that in no way could he be convinced otherwise. - OS
  12. Well, hey, would help alleviate the overpopulation and food supply problems, eh? Soylent Green is people!! - OS

    Ka-Bar Knives?

Not exactly so. I don't know exactly which ones are and are not, but I have the Ka-Bar camp knife (bought in last 6 months), and it is made in USA. Also have the 9" blade Bowie, and it is indeed made in Taiwan. - OS
  14. Without permit, loaded handgun/long gun possession is illegal in TN. On person, in car, on bike, whatever. Exceptions are hunting and other outdoor activity. Law is simply: 39-17-1307. Unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon. — (a) (1) A person commits an offense who carries with the intent to go armed a firearm, a knife with a blade length exceeding four inches (4²), or a club. Car is not same as your home as far as firearm possession, even though it does fit under "castle doctrine". Sort of a paradox in a way, but what else is new? - OS
  15. Unless you found a different one, Ms. Pelot's email listed on City Council webpage is an AOL one. - OS

I'd say IPD and IPC is known only to him, so don't feel like you're out of the loop. - OS
  18. Here's info as of June this year: TGO David said: "OHGC effectively no longer exists. The land that they previously leased is now being operated by the land owner as a privately owned gun range. Cost is $40 per year or $5 per day to shoot as a guest. The best way to join is to show up at the range. There is a sign on the shed near the rifle lanes that has the owner's name and phone number. Call the number and see if he is available to meet you and take your dues. He lives just right up the hill and is typically more than happy to walk down and give you the orientation." http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/22752-owl-hollow-gun-club.html?highlight=owl+hollow - OS
  19. I'm not from over there, but I know from reading here that Owl Hollow is still going, under a new feller...it's cheap too. - OS
  20. I'd suggest outdoor range if at all possible for first outing. Indoor is claustrophobic, noisier, smoky, concussion is magnified, etc. It's as "alien" an atmosphere as can be, especially for an already unfamiliar endeavor. As much as I love to shoot, if I had to do it only indoors, I wouldn't shoot 1/4 as much as I do now. - OS

    Suntzu has that power.

Methinks you are missing the whoosh of the acronymic satire. - OS
