  1. Free assist for ruebixx: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/gear-classifieds/24892-blackhawk-xiphos-weapon-light.html - OS
  2. I don't believe ammunition is mentioned in the act, only firearms. I'm wrong couple times a decade, though. - OS
  3. Okay, never mind brianenos.com, since that doesn't have anything to do with PhotoBucket. To put multiple pix in same post, just do what you are doing in the test thread, but put next pic link under the last one all in the same first editing window. There isn't a way to put multiple ones in same post with just a single URL as far as I know. But I don't use PhotoBucket, so I don't know what's actually possible there. Thusly:
  4. Don't know what "enos" is, so can't answer that question. Except, as to "size", there's no limitation on TGO, since the pix aren't stored here, but only called for with link to where they actually reside. Pix views are sized by default on TGO to 640 pixels wide, but bigger ones can be viewed full size with click on top of pic window. There are other size default views each user can set in their Control Panel. - OS
  5. Neither your TN or CT permit allows you to have loaded firearm in NY or NJ for carry anyway, so you're mainly just concerned about having them in your possession at all? The answer is yes and no. General answer is that they are okay for club shooting, hunting, and possession in home, but not for carry. Possession of them passing through the state is gray. summary at: http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/newjersey.pdf If I wanted to be 100% safe, I'd probably just take ball for the duration of the trip. Or buy 20 HP's in CT and leave them there before returning. - OS
  6. Outstanding. Glad it suits you!
  7. My guess is that the first gunless HCP holder who gets seriously injured or killed in a posted park will have no shortage of lawyers willing to handle a lawsuit on spec. - OS
  8. According to TWRA, no limit of shells for turkey: "Turkey Hunting Shotguns 28 gauge or larger using ammunition loaded with number 4 shot or smaller. No restriction on number of rounds in magazine." http://www.state.tn.us/twra/huntweapons.html Turkey is not in the migratory bird classification. - OS
  9. Ah, so the plug limits tube to two. That's the part I didn't understand, thought it was three. Thanks.. - OS
  10. It was all just an unfounded uproar from the media. "Armor piercing, cop killers". All BS. Winchester took it off the market voluntarily. Their current SXT line is essentially the same thing without the evil looking black coating. - OS
  11. Heck I walk around with my handgun loaded in chamber. Why wouldn't I want to do same with a pump shotgun? Racking it takes time and makes noise. - OS
  12. I don't hunt, but have wondered: is that three total, or can you have 1 in pipe and 3 in mag tube for 4? Rule says "Any auto-loading or repeating shotgun must be incapable of holding more than three shells while dove hunting." So, your gun must be "capable" of holding one in chamber, and that would mean you could only have 2 in tube? - OS
  13. Yeah, the vBulletin pings the actual link, puts in whatever is in the <title> </title> section of that webpage. - OS
  14. See whut I mean, Vern? - OS
  15. Okay, so today I shot the .357 Georgia Arms Cowboy loads. They are 158 gr., roundnose flat point bullets, claim 800 fps. Shooting at a 9" paper plate at 10 yards with Ruger SP101 with 2 1/4" barrel. I used monopod to brace my hands, to take as much of "me" out of it as possible. Shot 15 rounds and maybe 1/3 of them even hit the plate. The ones that did were all over it, no rhyme or reason. Shot 5 Hornady .357 Leverevolutions same way, all in plate, mostly toward the center. Also shot 10 or more WWB .38 special, all plenty good enough. Shot 9 of same Georgia Arms .357 loads in Marlin 1894 at same size plate at 50 yards using dinky plastic bipod. 9 of 10 on plate. Shot 5 more handheld, 4 on plate. Both sets with open sights, and the front sight covers most of the whole plate at that distance. Soooo ... seems obvious to moi that the powder in these things is really slow burning and not just slow, uneven, and somehow that causes the bullet to emerge with uneven force around it or somesuch, flinging it in random directions. Ruger was really black after the cowboy loads ... shooting the factory stuff actually cleaned it up some. Obviously, the 18.5" of rifle barrel stabilizes everything. There's probably a minimum pistol barrel length that would make a big diff. Maybe just 4 5/8" of the generally minimum western style barrel is enough, and I'm guessing that a lot of the cowboy action shooters may use 6 inchers or longer? I meant to do same test with the .38 cowboy loads but forgot, but will next time. They DO fire with plenty good enough accuracy from the Marlin. - OS
  16. Hi-Point is a Mercedes by comparison. And I'm sure about 50 Bersa owners are on their way with torches! - OS
  17. That's why Remington and Mossberg make their barrels 18.5 these days and not 18.0. - OS
  18. I got to shoot Motasyco and BlackBeltChick's Snake Slayer over on the pistol side. It was only loaded with #4 bidshot, but looked like it would do the job close up in face - the plastic shot base also looked like it would hurt as it put a big hole in the target too. Seriously, though, loaded with maybe #4 buck, that thing is the Derringer from Diablo. And also takes .45LC, but we didn't have any. Also, got to shoot yet ANOTHER Carcano, wow - thanks y'all. - OS
  19. Yah, we must share that burden. Glad you dropped in. I really AM impressed with the FrankenCamoTruck! - OS
  20. You have some real misunderstanding of Black Talons. They are not, nor never were, illegal in TN. Or any other state, as far as I know. By "synthetic", if you mean the Black Talon coating, it was simply for barrel lubrication, and is actually still in use on some of their rifle bullets. - OS
  21. One, according to owner. FCFB, Bryco and Jennings (same outfit) are defunct, but same guns are now made by Jimenez Arms. Quality has reportedly remained the same - meaning, they can't hold a candle to high end firearms, like the Hi-Point. Quick overview, and I think the Wiki author have them too much credence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryco_Arms/Jennings_Firearms/Jimenez_Arms - OS
  22. You're mighty young to be having short term memory loss like this, Cody! (I mean, you've BEEN there any number of times). - OS
  23. I always take mine...what a Hi-Point fest... My excuse is I'm shooting after just living for 61 years straight! - OS
  24. There's really nothing wrong with a triple bacon cheeseburger, if you leave off the empty carbs of the bun and fries, the whatever flour/sugar tart for dessert, and the sugared drink. - OS
