They just don't generally work on most guns, other than that they're pretty good. Some don't seem to EVER work on some guns (50 round drum for 10/22 for example). Just an aside, movie version of On the Beach plays frequently on cable, matter of fact, on tonight on Retro Channel at 8 Eastern which is on most folks' mid level cable package I believe. However, it's equally true that there is no provision to PROVE citizenship, or even legal residency. Just as there is no provision to prove same right now when illegal aliens walk into your local hospital's emergency room. Most any leather holster that is actually fitted and boned for your exact gun will have more than adequate retention for normal activities. If you need to ensure that it stays in holster if you're actually upside down, you probably need one with adjustable tension, just to make sure. Holsters that fit "several" guns, all bets are off. A "fit all", fits nothing. - OS
