  1.   Quite a few full auto versions were scattered around both here and in Europe too.   - OS
  2.   They used to have quite wide saturation among US LEAs, including both federal and state prison systems.   Still lots of them used here and there in Europe.   - OS
  3.   Reckon she posts on here using the Vulcan Mind Meld? ;)   - OS
  4. First thing to always try with Window is zap all cookies related to TGO.    However, note that FireFox lets you just zap the ones for individual site, but last time I noticed on IE, it's all or none, so you lose various settings on all sites if you're using that. Dunno about other browsers.   - OS
  5.   (grim humor)   Probably could have been a lot worse if they hadn't been limited to 10 round mags with bullet button, eh?   - OS
  6.   It's what we do. Like Geico. :)   - OS
  7.   Weird thing is, assuming this is the group responsible, what de hale were they still doing less than two miles away from the original hit?   - OS
  8.   Well, since there's a street named MLK something or other in most every city of any size in America, and they're generally in higher crime areas to begin with, that's pretty much a given.   - OS
  9.   Pretty much left that realm soon as first press conference confirmed multiple perps.   Apparently one guy still on the loose at the new scene, fled to nearby church, all according to just one report on that so far.   - OS
  10.   Seems the larger gathering of state/county health employees might have been the draw. So maybe it is terrorist inspired, to just kill government workers in general, who knows. They seem to agree now there were three perps too, which would take it out of the normal realm of a single nut with a grudge.   - OS
  11.   County golf course is across the street, probably searched vehicles and  just found a golf and gun nut. Like me. ;)   - OS
  12.   Confirmed at live press conference going on now, at least "14 dead and 14 wounded".   - OS
  13.   Rahm's in one now that might waste him.   - OS
  14.   I imagine somebody must have a really specific grudge related to that agency, however wacky it might be.  Though seems may have have happened in a conference center they run there also, so might have been related to another group that rented it or something.   Just doesn't seem like a likely pick for a "general terrorism" type statement, even if there is more than one perp involved.   - OS   edit: seems the conference room was being used by the larger health department for a party.
  15.   I have a feeling BHO didn't get many votes out of the TGO membership either.   But look who's President and look who's Nashville Mayor.   - OS
  16.   And Denver, and Austin, and ...   Hell, Kali would probably be a free gun state but for LA and Frisco/Bay Area domination.   - OS
  17.   Pretty certain that's a no. Each 4473 is processed as an individual entity with individual confirmation. And in TN, an individual ten clams.   - OS
  18.   Doubt it could fly under TN firearm preemption law, as long as the city/county is requiring that. It's one thing to simply nuke a venue, quite another to mandate conditions that deny a legal form of firearm transfer as per both state and federal law.   Also as a side note, though it's true that any number of firearms may be on a single 4473, it's my understanding that each form can only involve one transferer and one transferee.   - OS
  19. Btw, other parts of this NDAA version also remove ammo and components from the Toxic Substances Control Act and starts process of allowing military personnel to carry heat on base (subject to command decision).   Seems to me the ammo part is big, and removes all this from EPA control?   "SEC. 315. Exclusions from definition of “chemical substance” under Toxic Substances Control Act. Section 3(2)( B )(v) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (15 U.S.C. 2602(2)( B )(v)) is amended by striking “, and” and inserting “and any component of such an article (limited to shot shells, cartridges, and components of shot shells and cartridges), and”."   "SEC. 526. Establishment of process by which members of the Armed Forces may carry an appropriate firearm on a military installation. Not later than December 31, 2015, the Secretary of Defense, taking into consideration the views of senior leadership of military installations in the United States, shall establish and implement a process by which the commanders of military installations in the United States, or other military commanders designated by the Secretary of Defense for military reserve centers, Armed Services recruiting centers, and such other defense facilities as the Secretary may prescribe, may authorize a member of the Armed Forces who is assigned to duty at the installation, center or facility to carry an appropriate firearm on the installation, center, or facility if the commander determines that carrying such a firearm is necessary as a personal- or force-protection measure."   - OS
  20.   What kind of home has no windows?  Converted ammo bunker or something? ;)   But really, what, like a basement apartment or some such?   - OS
  21. If I had to actually "break" in, meaning making noise, I'd choose a window. Sliding glass one preferably, so could just step in with no effort.   Course, a glass cutter to get to lock is preferable, much more discreet.   - OS
  22.   Under the radar, off the books secret squirrel stuff -- ya can't overthrow the gummit if they know what you have and all that. ;)   - OS
  23.   At least she didn't have to make sure the safety was off, like you know, on a Glock.   - OS
  24.   The new manufacture XTP stuff from Freedom should be quite comparable to the XTP loads from Hornady. Same bullet, comparable powder load with bout same claimed velocity.   I've had no trouble with Freedom's reloaded stuff. I see them about the same as Georgia Arms' Canned Heat, have shot a lot of that too.  Georgia Arms also offers new manufacture stuff with Speer's latest highfalutin SD bullet, a similar type deal to Freedom's Hornady bullet, and I've shot some of that too, and have some stashed besides.   I'd posit the higher end stuff you got from Freedom is going to be just as reliable and effective, and worth what you paid.   edit: btw, Freedom has 5% off with free shipping for today's Cyber Monday. The cheaper stuff pretty well picked over already, but I did get 500 rounds of new .223 soft point, been meaning to score some for my AR pistol configs after all the Russian plants seem to have quit making it.   - OS
  25. So, they're well armed, Daryl's at the wheel of a 10 ton truck, with only 8 or 10 bikers lined up stationary in middle of road like bowling pins, and he stops?   And not only that, after being verbally threatened, they all get out to powwow?   Puleeese....   - OS
