  1. Well, a real revolt would be simply not to pay them. - OS
  2. Maybe it's legal in Wyoming, I don't know. The new federal law does not specify "handguns", only refers to "firearms". So if you can carry a loaded long gun around in Wyoming, you can do it in the park too. - OS
  3. Sure, many of us in Knoxville area have. Unless you join to get access to some other features, it's bench range only for pistols/rifles, apparently you can also shoot clays at certain times on another range without being a member though. $5.50 per two hours. Nice covered range, 100 yards max. Somewhat limited for SD pistol range, as shortest target distance I believe is 15 yards or so. And as I mentioned, have to shoot everything seated. VERY regulated by range marshals. - OS
  4. One more thing I'll mention. When you first mentioned the Mr. Softy, which is not tuckable, didn't know tucking was a desire. I can say this, though...I played with tucking just for the heck of it (though I don't have to) when I first started to carry and didn't have much luck, although my Kahr in a Bullard marginally worked; maybe I was overly self conscious with it some too, dunno. But though, if I WERE gonna tuck, it would be with a smaller, flatter gun like the Kahr, wouldn't be with my XD SC. Too thick. Like your G26, IMO. - OS
  5. First sentence: "...but soon anyone with a permit will be able to shoulder a shotgun as they watch Old Faithful erupt." Is that allowed in Wyoming with permit? - OS
  6. I never tried anything but couple of cheap Galcos, the Stow and Go and the Walkabout. They were fine enough for the money, and the higher end boned ones all look nice. I guess the UDC would work, although it seems a little expensive to me for a non form fitting (sculpted/boned to individual gun model) holster. It's much like the very much cheaper Stow and Go, cept for that different clip thing. It's just barely cheaper than say, a Bullard. I'm just not high on ANY holster that has single attachment point, though, especially when it's at the already thickest part of the gun/holster. I also don't see how that is much "deeper" than many other IWBs, although I know it hides most of the clip behind belt. Then again, many makers offer the tuckable J hook option. 'Course, if you're gonna tuck, would be easier to do with a single clip than double, I guess, if it stays stable. More than you wanted in an opinion, I'm sure... - OS
  7. Best ribs in town, I stand by that. I've partaken couple of times since we last convened there. Think the ambiance was getting the real comments, not the food. It's far from a classy place to sit and eat. 70below already had gut full of Mexican cuisine ready to vacate before he even arrived. Oh, btw 70below, I DID get by America's Fresh, your fav. Good ribs there, for sure, but still doesn't compete with Scruggs IMNSHO. Haven't decided if I'm gonna make the show or not. Still sort of on Firearm Savings Time, thinking I might get a new Mini 14 depending on how taxes work out, but ain't nobody gonna be cheaper than Wally's if I can catch one there. - OS
  8. Tried one for a Ruger SP101. There just wasn't enough holster there to really secure the gun. So much stuck out top it was very top heavy and insecure also. They gave me the old "you gotta break it in" spiel. There was no way it was gonna break in any deeper. I sent it back, cost me postage both ways, though. Maybe it would be better for a semi-auto, I dunno. It's not a "form fitted" holster for any gun, though, sort of generic. - OS
  9. How many guns can you shoot at one time. Perhaps as important, how many can you carry? - OS
  10. You're within 200 miles of being correct. Or even 100 if you count the 'Nooga shows thread. - OS
  11. The one for the Kahr is just as good as the one for the XD. The gun will disappear on you, very comfy indeed. - OS
  12. Oooo, nice pic. - OS
  13. Aha. Thankee kindly. - OS
  14. Sorry dude, haven't been to the Opry since it was at Ryman and that's been a few years! To finish destroying your thread, though, I read somewhere that Tootsie's Orchid Lounge was not only posted but I believe it said they even have a freaking metal detector or some such. Now THAT'S a sad state of affairs. - OS
  15. Is there a place to click on that somewhere in interface, or do you just have to remember the URL? - OS
  16. But but but you must break the law to tell them. - OS
  17. Oh Shoot

    Got wood?

Looks nice. Speed loader still fit? - OS
  18. Less, actually. € is Euro. USD is about 1.36 Euro right now. So, 7,000 Euro is 9,520 USD. It's a steal. - OS
  19. TN Code: 1. required to volunteer info that you have HCP?: no, not addressed in TCA. Majority agrees is a good idea, though, and many feel might even help you slide on a traffic ticket 2. asked by officer if you have HCP?: yes, must tell/show, addressed in TCA 3. asked if you are armed: not addressed in TCA, but damn good idea to tell the truth 4. officer may disarm you?: yes, but he must return gun to you unless there is a violation, addressed in TCA Your TDL and HCP have same number. If officer runs your DL, it also reports if you have a HCP. If he only runs your plates, it does not. - OS
  20. Gun size/thickness. Grip length is a biggie. Body build, holster position, cant angle. Type of holster, how it attaches is important (single attachment point not as stable in general, if it's on the thickest part of gun already, then adds to overall max thickness), etc. Everything counts. - OS
  21. Most anything should run, but of course you need to test it till you're comfy. I use Golden Saber 124 gr. mainly 'cause I got decent deal on a bunch of it good while ago. It's not the top SD fav anymore, but plenty good enough, IMHO. - OS
  22. I imagine it was WWB 110 gr. JHP, though, yes? It's starting to show up some, only variety I've seen in any in E. TN. - OS
  23. Ah, documentation still exists! - OS
  24. 1st nice day in a while is Sunday. I imagine it will be really mobbed after such a stretch of cold weather. - OS
  25. Family owned, yes. His dad founded it. I think Marathon owns part of it, or part of the travel centers or something. - OS
