  1. There is not an abundance of true small of the back holsters. Make you you really want to carry that way, as a really dedicated one for SOB isn't very useful if you decide to carry in normal 3-5 o'clock position. Galco makes a popular one, a little more than your stated price range. DM Bullard makes an IWB for your gun that can be used in SOB, but he recommends buying it for the opposite hand if used that way. It's $55. Oh yeah, let me be the first to inform you that if you fall on your SOB rig, it goes without saying that you will crush your spine and be paraplegic at minimum; it will also possibly alter Earth's tilt on its axis. - OS
  2. I can hit a 9" pie plate at 200 yards with every gun I own, including my .38 derringer... ...eventually.
  3. Anywhere in the state? Probably none. edit: If you count federal buildings, obviously none, but even without that, probably all states have some restrictions. - OS
  4. The law actually "says" that you can carry a knife over 4" or a club if you have an HCP. 39-17-1308 says, "(a) It is a defense to the application of § 39-17-1307 if the possession or carrying was: (2) By a person authorized to possess or carry a firearm pursuant to § 39-17-1315 or § 39-17-1351;" Says it is a defense to 39-17-1307, period, eh? - OS
  5. Cool. Long wait, huh, how about 6 months for a TT Gunleather or Milt Sparks, or maybe two years for Del Fatti or Broomeland. - OS
  6. Yes, certificate is on the way. - OS
  7. No, it hasn't. That's why I figure it must finally be close to a reality, as they've never mentioned it onsite before. - OS

  15. I'm sure it's some hydrogenated soy compound with 37 chemical spices. Probably has a half life of several thousand years. - OS
  16. Right now? Depends on where the sign is. - In normal business, only the fine is specified. - If in booze serving establishment, sign or not, it's a Class A misdemeanor, and you lose your HCP for duration of sentence (probation is part of sentence) and have to apply to get it back. - publicly posted park: Also Class A Misdemeanor, so loss of HCP if convicted. Then there's always the danger of having HCP suspended if one "Poses a material likelihood of risk of harm to the public" if you found yourself facing a prosecutor/judge with a stiff one on against you. - OS
  17. I assure you it's not butter. - OS
  18. Okay. Thanks for the constructive criticism. - OS
  19. I'm no ballistics guru, that's for sure, but for certain you're gaining 200-400 fps out of 16" barrel, depending on powder/loading/bullet weight. And whether this increases recoil or not, I couldn't say, but I agree with JAB, I was surprised that the felt recoil is as much as it is from the thing. 'Course, the original stock like I have, is just a hollow plastic shell. The new stock has the compressible butt plate, and it really DOES move with the recoil. Now, my Marlin .357 carbine, the recoil feels quite gentle, but we're talking heavier receiver, solid wood stock with rubber pad, etc. - OS
