  1. 'Bout as many foxes that would vote to avoid the hen house. No diff 'tween Dem or Rep foxes, either. - OS
  2. As long as 1. it's not a disqualifying conviction as per the statues, and 2. the disposition of it was finalized and properly recorded, it should be no prob. 2. often rears its head when they can't find how the charge came out. Not sure why, since most of them wouldn't be disqualifying regardless; guess it's to make sure it didn't turn into a felony or something. - OS
  3. Yeah it went up a buck or two since this time last year. So did the 50 round box of Blazer Brass before it was replaced with the Federal at the same price. - OS
  4. What is this "we" stuff ... you got a mouse in your pocket? - OS
  5. I believe I'd look at issues with that gun. Slide lock mechanism, extractor, spring, something. This is NOT a known issue with XDs. Personally, both my XD Service 9 and sub compact 9 both function 100% with any 9mm I've ever run through it, and that includes mostly WWB, Federal, and Blazer Brass. - OS
  6. Actually, I'm still good on 9mm, just trying to keep a finger on the pulse in general. Thanks. - OS
  7. Ah, good to hear...I was afraid maybe they weren't contracting anything in that price range anymore or something. - OS
  8. Well, that's about same as Wally's price, not bad. - OS
  9. Anybody in the state even SEEN any Federal or WWB 9mm in the last 6 weeks or so? - OS
  10. Thanks Mikey. I'll feel even safer if you keep the XD .45. - OS
  11. That's looks like the size all of the Crossbreeds should be. I've always thought the regular SuperTuck has proportionally a lot more surface area than necessary. - OS
  12. I prefer to hang separately, thanks just the same, Jack. - OS
  13. Gimme a break. Here are Chicago gun ordinances. Municipal Code of Chicago - Weapons You may register any gun except handguns, assault rifles (listed), short barreled rifles, silenced weapons, full auto weapons. There is nothing in there about keeping guns broken down, or even unloaded, in your home. There is a section specifically allowing you to carry your weapons in vehicle for use in lawful purposes both within and without the City of Chicago, and in this case they must be "broken down" to non-functional status while in the city. Chicago is bad, no doubt about it. You can't even possess ammunition for a firearm you don't own and have registered as I read it, there's some kind of laser sight limitation, etc. But you don't need to make stuff up to make it seem even worse than it is. - OS
  14. I was joking. Mostly. - OS
  15. Almost certainly a magazine issue. The feed lips get bent too far apart easily. And yes, several mags will tend to do it at about the same time if you use them equally. - OS
  16. Yeah I think David keeps me and Mike.357 and a few others on tighter rein than most users. - OS
  17. Voilá! Thankee kindly. - OS
  18. A lesser humanoid would edit his original post for chagrin control...but not moi! - OS
  19. Very strange, not on mine either. MikeW, you closed it with dropdown under thread tools, huh? - OS
  20. Big oopsie! I saw bolt cock on left, threw me, thought HP was only weapon in world that did that. Sorry for the "demotion", Jeff. - OS
  21. Was it in firearms? Mine is in gear and non firearms. Maybe it only works in firearms? - OS
  22. Nope. Option not there. - OS
  23. Yep, a $200 HP with $500 of gear on it. I like it. - OS
  24. Thought we could (actually should) close our own for sale listings now? Couldn't see how to do if so? - OS
  25. How could anyone have one favorite movie? - OS
