  1. No, Suntzu told me that too, and I mentioned it in the linked thread. But Punisher disagreed. Also note Mad4rcn's post above. I dunno. I'd be tempted to take it just so I could carry a sap, rather than baton. - OS
  2. I dunno, but you pay it or else, that's for sure. I got popped for one. Didn't make a full stop before turning right on red. Pretty hard to refute the tape. Far as cop using dash cam footage, I dunno, that may be legal evidence too for all I know. - OS
  3. Well, anybody can still carry a 4" knife, even a felon. - OS
  4. Punisher84 says you do NOT have to renew it: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/38841-illegal.html - OS
  5. Avatar flatters him. - OS
  6. That's not a knofe. THIS is a KNOFE! - OS
  7. Any of it works pretty well. Cheapest is Remington 15 packs at Wally's when they have it. They generally always have slugs, not always the buck. You want some that will make ya go WOW and OUCH, try Nobel Sport 12 pellet LE if you see it online. Still 2 3/4" but it is some HOT stuff, must be some very condensed powder of some sort. The tightest spread seems to be some of the Federal loads with, I believe it's called "Flight Control"? - OS
  8. Guys, I'll be up there 1ish, don't have any other plans, so will probably stay a good while. Yep, Eric, Garufa is right...I can sure show you how to fiddle with your scope. And fiddle and fiddle, and... I'm sure we can get it zoned in...it's a lot cheaper with .22! - OS
  9. Not exactly. They made it a state offense to be there illegally. I don't know what the penalty stipulated for the state offense is. As I understand it, federal law stipulates NO penalty for being caught the first time, only deportation. If you're caught again AFTER deportation, then there can be a 11/29 incarceration and another deportation. Can't find the reference now, but I looked this up some time in the past, and I believe that's right. - OS
  10. No, frayed knot. - OS
  11. As far as liquor by the drink I believe that's right. But not for beer joints. Beer licenses are handled by the counties, and I don't think there's any food requirements at all in most (or any). - OS
  12. Ah, thought was 2/3 like US Congress. Thanks. - OS
  13. May not have the overriding support percentage this time around, though? - OS
  14. Yeah, all the carry stuff is under Chapter 17, "Offenses Against Public Health, Safety and Welfare" - OS
  15. "wads" = fat fingered "was" - OS
  16. Wow, that IS pretty weird. Never knew of that creature, either. First I ever heard of "dual fuel" ones are the contemporary ones they sell now for unleaded/coleman fuel. I've got 5 or 6 various ones stashed, but I'd imagine they are all pretty well frozen/gooped up, pump leathers shot, or whatever, haven't used any in maybe 12-14 years. Oldest are a couple of kerosene ones from the 60's. I need to get them all out and sussed out. No sense having them if I can't count on them in a hurry. - OS
  17. Home address links to Clarksville. Nightclub location not specified, probably TN though, since Clarksville paper jumped on it. - OS
  18. Well, okay, IC. I thought everything was in relation to KY location and laws. I plead Emily Litella. - OS
  19. I thought this was Ft. Campbell, KY. Didn't know part of it was in TN. So where exactly did this happen? - OS
  20. Thanks Mark. Yep, and as I mentioned, up until at least the late 60's, could still get white gas. I never saw a can of Coleman fuel whole time I was in Boy Scouts. One of my points is simply that "white gas" was not same as "unleaded gasoline". Here's an interesting thing I found on Coleman site: note the special warning on Canadian unleaded: ----------- Unleaded gas should only be used in Coleman® appliances marked as “Dual Fuel™†or Unleaded Fuel†and only the lowest octane unleaded gas available should be used. Unleaded gas contains additives that are more difficult to vaporize than the gas itself and the higher the octane rating of the fuel, the more additives mixed with the gas. Unleaded gas from Canada should never be used in any Coleman® appliance, even the “Dual Fuel™†and “Unleadedâ€, as there is an additive in the fuel which will damage the tank, valve, generator and burner assembly. Coleman® “Dual Fuel™†and Unleaded†appliances have been designed to handle the additives in unleaded gas. The use of unleaded gas in any Coleman® appliance designed for use only with Coleman® Fuel can result in a rapid build-up of carbon in the generator and damage to the rust-resistant coating inside the fuel tank. The cost savings in using unleaded fuel in a Coleman® Fuel appliance would be rapidly offset by the cost of replacing the generator and eventually the fuel tank or entire appliance. ------------ - OS
  21. That has about zero probability of being helpful, I'm afraid. Not linked to any LEA database, has a whopping 1,617 listed. At least 300,000 are reported stolen each year in US, and this was as of 1994, most recent I could find. (Source: US Dept. of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Guns and Crime, 4/94) Lots more now, I'm sure. - OS
  22. Well, if it lets you breathe through your nose and not mouth, it might. Every snorer that I know is doing breathing through mouth, including me, by all reports. - OS
  23. Oh Shoot

    Is it illegal?

In case of baton, why would there ever be one? Quite clear. Seems you could also legally carry a sap, which would probably be more my style. I could see some local hissy fit over that, but again, seems clear it would have to be deemed legal. " “Club†means any instrument that is specially designed, made or adapted for the purpose of inflicting serious bodily injury or death by striking a person with the instrument" - OS
  24. I give WND.com the slight edge for credulity over EndTime.com, which isn't saying much. - OS
  25. I'm sure it will be similar in approximate size as was the regular XD. XD Service 9/.40: 7.3 x 5.5 XD Service .45: 7.3 x 5.75 - OS
