  1.   If you have an FFL like we do here that charges 10 clams for transfer, anything over ~$108 will cost more in 9.25% sales tax than transfer assuming you can get it online for same price or cheaper.   - OS
  2.   Nope. Still no sales tax from budsgunshop.com.   - OS
  3.   Nope. Seems to me the definition of the word "concealed" should make it rather simple to understand.   - OS
  4.   For recreational shooting, you don't need any spare parts at all, 'cause you can just order them at your leisure when you need hem.  Assuming there isn't a panic like a couple years ago.   Assuming a bolt wasn't poorly made from the gitgo (like fails in the first hundred rounds or so), it isn't "likely" to break for at least 5K and probably even approaching 20K. But just like many firearm parts that get repeated stress,  they nonetheless do break all along the statistical bell curve, and if they do it's a show stopper.   I don't know that I've ever heard of a carrier actually breaking. Maybe possible with a big kaboom though, dunno.   - OS
  5.   But they won't match after 2016, because most driver licenses change to 8 years instead of 5, and the HCP change doesn't account for that.   Am I the only one who gets that?   - OS
  6.   They'll either short or lengthen the renewal period to hit the 5 year DL thing. But DL will change to an 8 year renewal so they'll still not be in sych anyway.   - OS
  7.   Price is set by statute, which has not changed. It's just the varying time lengths which was enacted to sync with the 5 year DL renewals. Which now of course it won't, since our idiots changed the DL to 8 without changing the HCP part.   - OS
  8.   Car is loaded handgun only and must be in "container" or "compartment". But it doesn't have to be a locked. Dunno exactly what passes for either though.   But really, this has all been beat to death in the main thread already.   - OS
  9. You may find, like I'm pretty sure DaveTN did, that you ultimately have to get it fixed with the FBI, or it'll keep getting denied each time.   TICS queries NICS of course, and if the fed database still is flawed, it'll happen again.   - OS
  10.  .. thread below you in same forum, made from about 7 just like yours. :)   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93232-virginia-to-end-reciprocity-with-25-states/
  11.   Anybody.   To my knowledge, the only state that restricts any type of non-permit carry to state residents is Wyoming.   - OS
  12.   Still does, that part of HCP statute has never changed. There are only about 12 states that don't honor our permit in total is what I meant. And now maybe one more assuming VA does indeed go through with this.   - OS

The answer might possibly lie in my previous question, ie, what is the exact URL that fails?   - OS
  14.   Yep, a bunch of damn Tories.   - OS
  15.   Again, TN law would have to be amended to do that, which is highly unlikely as we honor about 12 states' permits that don't honor ours already.   - OS

both nra.org and nraila.org both fine with Comcast from KnoxBurg.   Is there there some specific longer addy that's not working, or the basic ones above too?   - OS
  17.   You must be reading a different article? There is no unlawful possession charge mentioned in the link you quoted.   Although if he's a prohibited person, of course there should be (and probably will be later).   A non-prohibited person only needs to be 18 to have loaded firearms in vehicle, 21 to carry a handgun in general public on the person.   - OS
  18. JohnC, the need for mod Whack-A-Mole continues:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93223-what-the-establishment-can-achieve/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93232-va-ag-revokes-tn-carrytwenty-four-other-states/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93233-virginia-to-stop-recognizing-concealed-gun-permits-from-25-states/
  19. Nothing gets by you, Ron. Except the other 5 threads that have been merged into:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93232-va-ag-revokes-tn-carrytwenty-four-other-states/
  20.   Perhaps the fact you can keep a loaded handgun in private vehicle without a permit in VA.   It does have to be in a "container" or "compartment", but it doesn't have to be locked.   - OS
  21.   Please. Already 3 or 4 threads merged into this one:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93222-virginia-to-end-reciprocity-with-25-states/
  22.   Yeah, under 39-17-1324.  Offense of possessing a firearm during commission or attempt to commit dangerous felony. It can be a separate felony, and felony drug possession is classed as a "dangerous felony".   And even if it's during a crime not listed as a "dangerous felony", under 39-17-1307 it is a lower felony if "A person commits an offense who possesses any deadly weapon with the intent to employ it during the commission of, attempt to commit, or escape from any offense not defined as a dangerous offense by § 39-17-1324."   Pretty sure there are federal laws about gun and drug possession too, if the feds want to get involved.   - OS
  23.   Thank gawd. Missed one, though:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93223-what-the-establishment-can-achieve/   - OS
  24.   Well, the "er to re" always suggests British, but the vast majority of US cinema chains that use the word spell it "theatre" too:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Movie_theatre_chains_in_the_United_States   Including all in the top ten biggest:   Cinemark Theatres Marcus Theatres Harkins Theatres Southern Theatres B&B Theatres   - OS
