  1. Plus you can shoot, you know, real rifles. Up to 200 yards. - OS
  2. $40 per YEAR, ya know. Unlimited visits. I don't think CC can get close to that. - OS
  3. Cody, an even younger whippersnapper than yourself. Asked in another thread if anyone was goin up Norris this week. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/member.php?u=381 He's headin' off to the Army next week, haven't seen him in some time. - Mac
  4. Reported that they're going up to $40 for coming year. Erik, just PM'd C.A.S. to see if he can go that day .. plan is evolving...
  5. I have an aversion to "early". I might do noonish. - OS
  6. Now they've made it much easier than that for ANY place to opt out. At least cities/counties had to make the effort to put up large conforming signs instead of a small generic decal. - OS
  7. He's just same ole, right out of the GOP mold of the Now You See Me Now You Don't School of Sidestep. YouTube - Charles Durning "Dance a Little Sidestep" - OS
  8. No, the DAO version of the SP101 is just that, double action only. There is no cocked position possible. Perhaps a standard hammer has some nub that will engage on existing sear or something that's already in there and common to both versions, I don't know. Guess I could find out on one of the Ruger forums, but I'll probably never mess with it. - OS
  9. (back to ABC auditing/collecting fines/pulling licenses) According to account quoted in this post from KNS http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/40371-kns-editor-strikes-again.html#post528633 the Buckwild Saloon in Nashville was audited in 2007 and 2009 by ABC. Sort of doubt it was the ONLY one in the whole state? - OS
  10. Erik's now goes all the way to 12. - OS
  11. Well, maybe, but there's more to it than just the hammer itself I guess. I mean, the gun is DAO only, not like you can "cock" it at all, so I guess there's a different sear or something would have to changed out too? And I sure don't claim to be much on gun smithing. - OS
  12. Yeah, I meant to get the white haired cop's name, myself, but forgot. Even though nothing happened to me personally (yet), pissed me off after what he did to BlueMax, then I see him pull same stunt on two guys who were IN the building, but not in the expo floor proper part. Like it makes any diff. He seems to think there's some magic happening inside the expo that makes all private sales legal but outside they are all criminal. I could actually understand if the show promoter really wants to minimize peer to peer transactions, but his isn't the cop's premise. Only that he'll arrest you for illegally selling weapons for doing it outside the expo floor. And since it's not a crime, even if the show promoter wanted you removed from property, ok, if you don't go you could be tagged for trespassing; but there's NOTHING illegal about location of selling the weapon. - OS
  13. Yeah, notice I tweaked my post to less bellicose suggestion, but that's okay, "physical therapy" works, too. I was thinking of hiring it out through Big Newt in Cocke County, though. - OS
  14. In real world, if you wanted to make a scene, there are all kinds of reasons why a policeman cannot confiscate your personal property when you are not being held for questioning or charged with a crime. I don't even think that under the guise of the "temporarily disarming you for safety reasons" would fly here either. The crap he pulls about private sales is total BS, and has no basis in the law whatsoever. He pulled this on our own BlueMax at the previous show at the Expo. All in all, methinks the older tall white haired cop needs some serious behavior modification of some sort. - OS
  15. Shyte. Cover finally blown. - OS
  16. Oh, so THAT was you. - OS
  17. Yeah, all in all, I kinda wish I had, too. Bought the DAO to carry, but wound up not carrying it, and somewhat miss the single action option when I shoot it at range. Sorry didn't get to meet ya, today. Guess we oughtta make a TGO flag or something next show. - OS
  18. I'm done tilting at windmills - just planting the idea. (I wouldn't turn down 10% of lawsuit settlement for the favor, though). - OS
  19. Knoxville gun shows are not posted complaint with statute. Know what I mean? The white haired tall cop there periodically wanders around and threatens to arrest people doing deals outside the doors, or even INside the doors if they are not IN the actual exhibition area. It's not any more legal or illegal to do it outside the building than inside it. If one wanted to do a Kwick and take it all the way to arrest, might be a way to make some real coin from City of Knoxville. - OS
  20. Noticed quite a few at the show today, most all under $500, so not bad pricing at all. Didja get hammer version or the DAO? Btw, if you shoot a bunch of .38 through it you might find .357 hard to chamber or eject until you clean cylinder, as might have shorter powder residue rings in the cylinder left from the .38. Probably take more than 50 to do it, though, just depends on the ammo type. Good score... - OS
  21. Just for your trivia quiz expertise: Rock City is in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. - OS
  22. You can buy from StellarRigs.com or from Kahr online store, think they're same price from each but not sure. Note you'll have to pick up a second short mag, though, won't work with the 7 rounder with pinkie rest, unless you want to put the long one in the gun, which sort of thwarts the overall compact nature of the whole shebang. - OS
  23. Yeah. Since the other calibers don't, I don't expect to ever go to XDM 9, since have significant investment in regular XD 9mm mags. - OS
