  1. Ah, good. Still a modicum of intact cranial neurotransmitters. - OS
  2. Could only help, I guess. There was some "authority" on news the other night calling for regional watersheds to divert more water toward the Big Muddy. But Jack's buddy could have just peed in Memphis - would get there MUCH quicker. - OS
  3. That's a pretty bizarre statement, even from Planet Jack. What the frig does Muscle Shoals have to do with the gulf? - OS
  4. I've shipped a long gun through a UPS Store (to an FFL). Get a UPS account (free) so you can pre print labels. Package it up, put label on it, drop it off, no questions asked, and no acknowledgment of contents required. Perfectly legal as per federal law. Actually, shipping handguns to FFL is also perfectly legal, and federal law doesn't require them to be overnighted. That is UPS policy. You can ignore it, but of course should gun be lost, UPS wouldn't pay the claim if it weren't done according to their rules. - OS
  5. Is it posted? If not, perfectly legal, like any other business. - OS
  6. ATF FAQ is WRONG. You only have to inform if NOT going to a licensed receiver. I can paste the actual law if nobody believes that. - OS
  7. You'll likely learn have second thoughts about that at some point. Also, I'd wager, your screen name. - OS
  8. Well, maybe not Oklahoma City. - OS
  9. Fit in my back pocket fine, snuggles right in upright next to wallet. I don't use the clip. - OS
  10. I like mine, but you gotta have one big ass pocket if you want to carry it that way! - OS
  11. Yes. Federal law now allows carry in National Parks, as per the carry laws of the state that the park resides in. Note that federal buildings within the parks are still banned though, so technically carrying in say, Sugarlands Visitor Center would be no no. - OS
  12. That was done with the CA staff also, didn't dissuade them. - OS
  13. Perfect hole sounds like carpenter bees, though I can't 'splain the dead insect as I don't think they put one in there to feed the young 'uns. Maybe the bee itself died in the hole (look like bumblebees). http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/ammunition-reloading/38116-ive-declared-war-carpenter-bees.html?highlight=carpenter+bee - OS
  14. Ya don't see a Nathaniel Hawthorne reference in an HCP discussion very often. Kudos. - OS
  15. Nope, not necessarily. TN law DOES INDEED state in 39-17-1352 that The department shall suspend or revoke a handgun permit upon a showing by its records or other sufficient evidence that the permit holder ... Has violated any other provision of §§ 39-17-1351 — 39-17-1360; Posting statute is 39-17-1359. Will be interesting to see how these two statutes may interplay if enforcement for carrying past a sign ever really cranks up. - OS
  16. Probably Warmouth. Sometimes called Warmouth "Bass". Have caught many of them in Watts Bar so assume they're plentiful in Chickamauga (where you were fishing?) This illustration is a little more colorful than they usually are. Similar to a Rock Bass also, but those don't have the bluegill looking "ear" and are drabber in color overall: edit: here's a little more what they generally look like. The smaller they are the bigger the mouth will look proportionally. More Pix: http://www.google.com/images?q=warmouth+bass&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=GWwWTLPQJsKAlAfnvuXnDA&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CB0QsAQwAA - OS
  17. To extend the accurate range for more precise target shooting or hunting, sure a scope works, if you can hold it steady enough to utilize it. For home defense or of course carry, no way. - OS
  18. So Bartlett actually allows park carry? - OS
  19. You can, but it has to be registered, as I understand it. So maybe he had an unregistered one, or had it out with him loaded or something. - OS
  20. Depends on browser. IE shows "x". FireFox doesn't. Other browsers vary, too, I guess. - OS
  21. You're hot today! - OS
  22. See, there's proof! Good one. - OS
  23. All Scots of course have a working knowledge of Yiddish. - OS
