  1.   Then perhaps he does not actually have control of that Everipedia page? Somebody is keeping it updated, it's current pretty much to the very day.   Some sort of disconnect there ... there's never a ad vid that plays before one of his vids is there, and that's where the real bucks per view come from isn't it?   - OS
  2.   OIC, thanks -- it's everipedia, not everpedia as Pete kept mentioning.   And whoever mentioned in these threads that he was losing revenue:   "...has turned down multiple offers from YouTube and other networks to monetize his videos, but has generally declined them out of principle and the fact that he wants to remain independent. He has nearly 1000 videos as of Dec 2015."   - OS
  3.   School me on that. Haven't even ever heard of everpedia before. When I go there (everpedia.com?) doesn't seem to be anything much to do, except note that the domain is for sale.
  4.   Thanks and all, but 'fraid no sage advice here.;)   You've got a thorny situation where several areas of the law seem to butt heads, at least to some degree.   You've got 39-17-1314, which allows a city or county to regulate "The discharge of firearms within the boundaries of the applicable city, county, town, municipality or metropolitan government, except when and where the discharge of a firearm is expressly authorized or permitted by state law"   And also allows the regulation of "the location of a sport shooting range, except as otherwise provided in §§ 39-17-316 and 13-3-412"   But of course those two statues don't involve hunting.   Then you've got the AG's opinion from way back, two AGs ago, regarding hunting law being overarching, but as mentioned, that's not settled law or anything.       Knoxville's is even tighter, though it doesn't mention archery (but might be somewhere else):   "Discharge of firearms. It shall be unlawful for any person, except such as may be authorized by law, to discharge or fire any firearms within the city. Discharge of air guns, spring guns, etc. It shall further be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any air gun or air pistol, spring gun or spring pistol, or other device or firearm which is calculated or intended to propel or project a bullet, pellet, air or similar projectile, within the city."   However, Knoxville statue does have this exception regarding hunting:   "Exception. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this section or any other provisions of this Code, nothing in this section is intended to prohibit the discharge or firing of any firearms by anyone lawfully engaged in hunting upon any property owned by the state and managed by the state wildlife resources agency which may be located within the municipal limits of the city."   Which still doesn't allow shooting during hunting on private property and of course we don't have any public land like that where the TWRA allows hunting in the first place, maybe we did way back when statute was first enacted or something, dunno.   - OS
  5. Comcast is my ISP, but I've used Pegasus email since before the web was born.   Just pop the emails from all my different accounts to local storage on my desktop and laptop boxes. Can transfer the whole thang to different puter when time to switch..   I never used webmail except once in a while when I'm out and about and need to access from someone else's puter.   On the other hand, I don't access the net with smart phone either, though.     - OS
  6.     Thanks, y'all, that did indeed work, but here's what I did instead.   Got both the Wolf Gold and a K of 7.62x39 also. My Buyer's Club thang had lapsed some time back, so took the "30 day free" Buyer Club option, which gave me the lower BC price plus free shipping. PLUS, used my SG Visa card which knocked off another 2.5% on whole order.   The temp BC will revert to paid one after 30 days, so I'll get charged the 30 clams then, but probably will buy enough stuff over the next year to make it worthwhile especially with the 20 clams they throw in to use with no minimum order.   Thanks for the heads up y'all.   - OS
  7.   There seem to be some questions as to whether all the things he mentioned are actually technically indeed EO's, or will all fall under Memoranda or Proclamation.   No idea why only the Smart Gun thing is listed so far period. It's Hussein's White House after all, so making sense would be unusual.   - OS
  8.   Federal firearm background checks are free. Blame TN for that ten clams per check.   - OS
  9. geez man, two active threads already:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93682-youtube-removed-hickok45/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93755-part-deux-youtube-removed-hickok45/
  10. So you should be able to hit tin cans at 50 yards, right? ;)   - OS
  11. Well, youse guys are no fun. Supposed to wait for a while to let the gullible bite.   - OS

  13.   Elbow isn't so bad, no actual joint there, just held together by ligaments, which are stretched and torn.  It actually doesn't prevent carrying stuff or pulling with it but any lateral type movement can pop it out of alignment, makes a big bulge just like there were a joint there though. Doesn't take a lot of force to do it, just the perfect little pressure at the wrong angle, something as simple as pushing a patio door closed with back of hand.   Biggest downside is just not being able to trust it, as it does hurt like a bitch if you do it, and for a few days after, and the whole left arm basically atrophies in strength as you just won't use it to potential even in normal day to day tasks.   - OS
  14. Unless Bud's had some sort of inventory glitch and thought they had some guns stolen and reported them even though they were actually still there, it has to be some combination of errors, wrong serial typed in on TICS submission, wrong serial number on the stolen firearm database,  something or other.   - OS
  15.   Not my forum, but there's a difference between offering an open exchange for lawful transactions and possibly abetting felonies by removing data, just sayin...   Now that is admittedly almost certainly an overblown statement in reality, but the real point is that nothing has changed since Hussein made his comments about the legality of selling firearms, either federally or in the state of TN. What was legal and illegal before is still the same now.   Besides, there's also the WayBack Machine and whatever other public archives too ya know .. so it's not like all this sort of stuff actually gets totally nuked anyway, can always look back to various dates if anyone really wants to research. Not to mention whatever the hell the NSA archives and whatever. Wouldn't surprise me if essentially the entire freaking internet weren't crawled and stored every day from that data center in Utah.   - OS
  16. More probs, financier defaults on promised loan:   http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/01/07/breaking-sciens-default-loan-colt-rocks-bankruptcy-exit/   - OS
  17.   Not to compare to a shoulder in severity, and my condolences, but my left elbow is trashed in that way. Broken twice and dislocated badly twice through the years.   Needed the Tommy Johns fix, but by the time I could afford to have it done when I turned 65, the surgeon was more than willing to do it,  but talked me out of it. Said with all the years of osteo buildup and whatnot there, that if he made it good and tight again the chances were it would cause chronic pain there. So I took his advice and just live with the sloppy connections.   - OS
  18.   Well, sounds like he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on, so unless he claims the signs weren't statutorily compliant I don't see any test there.   The further test we really don't know about is whether he'll also lose his carry permit as it calls for in 39-17-1352 and whether it is suspended or revoked entirely. And good chance we'll never be able to find out.   - OS
  19.   He just told you. If you start with a shotgun, modifying it to have a barrel under 18" makes it a SBS, regardless of whether you use a stock or pistol grip.   However, if you start with a virgin receiver, you could call it AOW.   And further, I think if you start with a factory pistol grip "shotgun" you could do the same as they are not classed as long guns (shotguns) by ATF, but "other firearm", but I'm not sure if you did that you could also use a stock without getting SBS stamp also?   But for sure if you make it SBS you could use either stock or pistol grip.   At any rate, again, it is 200 clams to make either one yourself, and AFAIK SBS allows more options in config.   - OS
  20.   So after all that, you still didn't do it?   - OS

  22.   That's price before shipping, I don't see any free shipping deals right now except on some cold weather gear?   - OS
  23.   Yeah, even though making a profit on a single, or even multiple, guns isn't the sole test of being "engaged in the business", being able to document an overall loss would seem to be a rock solid defense.   - OS
  24.   TCA says a profit is fine, overage amount is appropriated to other TBI activities.   - OS
  25.   If they wanted to do that, or if they had the manpower to do that, they'd already be doing it. Maybe the whopping 200 extra agents BHO wants to hire will be a task force to do that.    Thing is, it's gonna take more than just identifying frequent sellers, they have to somehow get the dirt on where the money goes. That's why it's so seldom prosecuted.   Usually on the few cases I've ever seen, it comes about after they find guns during various other investigations, arrests, or raids, then people cop where they got them, and if several are from same seller, then they turn the sights on him.   And remember, not much if any help from the state on this one here -- even though TN says you need federal license to sell guns, I can find no state penalty for violating that.   - OS
