  1.   Acting secretary Murphy has power to do it, but will have to be told to, and I'm sure he's been told the opposite.   I still say these will never emerge under BHO or Hillary.   - OS
  2.   I figgered it was mostly to keep people from shooting at black painters and sasquashes and whatnot. ;)   - OS
  3.   Yeah, the "hey just go ahead and believe, if we're wrong no big deal, but if we're right keeps ya out of hell" crowd.   Like you can can somehow "choose" to believe in something you absolutely don't in reality, at least enough for a get out of hell free card -- and of course that a supposedly all knowing supernatural being wouldn't see through such a poor sham in the first place. :)   - OS
  4.   Yep. Pretty much. No, I didn't advocate keeping 1359. But yes, it takes a bit more balls on part of the store manager to confront the person one way or the other for trespassing. The 1359 is for wimps, manager never need get involved at all except to call cops.   - OS
  5.   Lots of folks must think Jehovah has them too, 'cause there are plenty of "just in case" Christians. They often suggest I become one too;  like the Big Guy can't see through one who is merely hedging his bets with lip service?   - OS
  6.   George R. R. Martin, Song of Ice and Fire novels (Game of Thrones)   - OS
  7.   Main diff is that the responsible person in the establishment would have to actually confront the person, rather than just make a sneaky phone call and not even need to testify.     - OS
  8. Earlier thread just a few down wasn't up to snuff?   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/94035-so-long-to-another-great-oneglenn-frey-rip/
  9.   Idea is to start getting support for that day. Easy to reintroduce, just like the perpetual AWB.   But these stupid polls do nothing. If they did we'd already have universal background checks at the least.   - OS
  10.   Then nobody could carry period unless -1307 were zapped along with it.   Or do you mean -1359?   - OS
  11.   Ah, okay, I get it. Some Super Tuesday states, including TN,  jockeyed date around that one year. I thought we had always done it in March since the 70's.   Mea culpa, TrekBike and K191145, I should have researched before posting.   - OS
  12. combined two into one
  13.   You gotta be disremembering something or other?  He dropped out on Jan. 22 of that year.   Is this a collective past hallucination, or what? ;) - OS
  14.   Tack it on to something much more important that BHO wants. Same way we got carry in National Parks.   - OS
  15.   There hasn't been a federal increase in minimum wage since 2009.   - OS
  16.   I don't understand the whole tack that's being taken.   Luke E. said, "As it turns out, Lisa is one of the people he spoke with yesterday. That evidently didn't net him a gain. Might not hurt to call her again but I'm was meaning that I didn't have to time to really start into any of it today during their business hours."   If Lisa at the state office says that it's not a go, then there's nothing under that level to affect. You''l have to exert legal effort on the state level, eh?   - OS
  17.   Why does anybody give a crap about a meaningless petition when there is an actual bill filed in the House that does what petition wants?   Get on your Reps to get the damn thing out of committees and get some congressional support behind it.   - OS
  18.     Charter Arms already has both calibers in about as small a revolver as possible, so no "game changer" here.   - OS
  19.   Rats. Looks like I'm gonna have to watch every vid he's done now.   edit: Whew, he only has done 10.   - OS
  20. Better, lean on your rep to get behind the bill that's already filed:     https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3799/all-actions-without-amendments   - OS
  21.   Looks grim as seems to only be a GSM device, which as I understand it, means 2G only.   - OS
  22.   "Why we don't sell in TN, GA, or AL   Over 21 years ago Natchez Shooters Supply was started as a wholesale distributor of reloading components. The entirety of our sales came from making local deliveries to dealers throughout Tennessee, and the northern Georgia and Alabama areas. It was upon this dealer foundation that Natchez Shooters Supply grew from a two man operation in the basement of a house into the large warehouse distributor that it is today.   Due to strong loyal commitments with our local dealers that have supported our business for over 21 years, we feel that it would be best if we did not compete with our them by selling directly to their customers. We will be offering links and contact information soon of dealers in TN, GA, and AL that loyaly support us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.   Natchez Shooters Supply"   - OS
  23.   Agree that this seems like wasting ammunition.   - OS
  24.   And Metatron in Dogma.   His role as the ghost lover in Truly, Madly, Deeply is perhaps my favorite of all, though many here would call it a "chick flick".   - OS
  25. Al has been mentioned recently as having a real interest in stepping in as the Dem election savior if things go south for Hildebeest.   - OS
