  1.   Already well covered anyway:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93232-virginia-to-end-reciprocity-with-25-states/   - OS
  2. Yeah, I forgot MD's "may issue" is basically "will not issue".   You not reading the thread in which you are commenting? - TN permit has been honored all along through Jan 2016 in VA - And now will continue to be honored as of Feb 2016 in VA - OS
  3. Why? MD doesn't recognize Utah permits. More people care about carrying in some nearby states than in their own, or what?     Why? A Utah permit adds no states for a TN permit holder. - OS
  4.   That's the correct answer.   There is nothing in the HCP statute that says you must be 21 before taking the course, only 21 to apply for the permit,  and within 6 months of course completion (which technically is a TNDOS ruling based on a similar statement within the statute regarding renewal).   - OS
  5.   Only "logical" reason would seem to be so could use it again. But then, not logical to leave obvious signs of using it inside,  especially drug stuff.   Just really odd, then again, drug addled kids that live nearby or whatever, who knows.
  6. That van situation is one of the most bizarre crime MOs I've ever heard of.   - OS
  7.   There's no requirement they even have to be lawyers, let alone judges.   - OS
  8.   Yup. The usual level of disinformation we've all come to expect on all levels of gummit.   And now half the people in the country are willing to let gummit handle most everything significant in life from cradle to grave, is this a great country or what?   - OS
  9. I've mentioned that in the past -- but I also opined that Holder might be first.   Btw, there is a precedent -- Taft.   - OS
  10.    I can't believe Fish actually died, I assumed he was immortal.
  11.   By federal law, all firearm transfers between residents of different states must go through FFL with background check, save for inheritance. Period.   An FFL in any state may sell or transfer a rifle or shotgun to a resident of any other state. In all cases, handguns and "other firearms" (receivers, lowers, etc) can only be received in the state of the recipient.   What's in the back of your mind there is that there are a handful of states that only allow FFLs to sell long guns to residents of certain adjoining states. Further, an FFL in any state must not sell a firearm to a resident of a state in which that type or configuration of the firearm is unlawful.   - OS
  12. That's why no matter what the state laws are, preemption is always better than not.   Knife laws around the country are if anything even more numerous and convoluted than firearms laws, and we're one of the few states that have state preemption over them also.   - OS
  13. Though the FFL fees are whatever,  you (or he) will at least save the $10 TICS fee if you do it in MS.   - OS
  14.   Ah, that looks like it, bit of moniker merge by Patton I reckon. ;)   - OS
  15.   Type of non dead bolt lock on that door shown in vid, you can generally open with just a credit card.   - OS
  16. Who makes that? All references to Glock Sport Combat Holster I see just refer to the polymer one distributed by Glock?
  17. Something is always selected. Chose: By Content Type: Forums By Time Period: Content I Have Not Read
  18. ID channel special,  next Sat. 9 pm, Steven Avery: Innocent or Guilty?   Sandwiched in between some of its "Real Detective" segments, which have been pretty good also. The last one had Michael Madsen as a down home Texas Ranger, played nicely low key.   - OS
  19. Perhaps these guys should have to pass a background check before being allowed to carry a sign? - OS
  20. Among all the NICS stats, the one that does not seem to be published is the number of overturned denials after appeal.   TICS gives a bit more info, showing that about half of the denials are appealed, but doesn't seem to show how many were actually overturned either.   - OS

  23.   Yeah, no shortage of horse pucky in this world. I love the freestanding mystical staircases all over the damn place that all these folks "know about" but won't touch. Or even photograph.  Right.     - OS
  24.   Theoretical price doesn't matter if they're never released.   - OS
