So your statement that "Mine was 12 rounds at 3 yards, 12 rounds at 10 yards, 12 rounds at 15 yards, and 12 yards at whatever distance we chose" is: A. Incorrect, and the middle distance of those required was actually 7 yards. B. Correct, and the instructor placed the required distances incorrectly C. Correct, and the TNDOS written distance requirements have changed in the last 2-3 years. I suspect A. or B. not that I care one iota, merely responding to your comments as a matter of logic and fact. - OS

I'd suggest they are likely "approximating" from memory. TNDOS publishes the curriculum and shooting qualification and gives it to the certified schools, but it's not online, so I can't "prove" it. However, anyone who runs an HCP school could post here and verify what the official material states. Of course, I can't prove each school is run according to TNDOS requirements either ... certainly there are some that don't adhere to the 8 hour requirement for example. - OS

All my gun, in every caliber, seem to get dirty no matter what brand I shoot. Since there is still WWII ammo that is quite viable, I'm not sure anyone can exactly estimate how long contemporary ammo might last, as long as moisture and excessive heat is avoided. Might still go boom in 300 years. - OS

"More than infinite" is indeed a lot. Oil deposits take millennia to form, the world consumes daily what took thousands of years to create. The upside down pyramid of population vs resources is tipping. There are way too many of us, and due to technology and massive duplication of skill sets , individual effort is less needed and hence less valued and hence less rewarded. It matters not how much of any natural resource remains, when what remains costs too much for the average wage earner to afford.That's environmental economics, and we soon won't be able to pay the piper.
