  1. You alone probably could have kept them afloat if you ever bought there. - OS
  2. Yep, simple physics demands that even with the slimmest heaters there's more than an inch added to your waistline that wasn't there before. - OS
  3. Wow, never heard of him. Cooler than Vampira and Elvira put together, seems. - OS
  4. Section 802 of the First USA Patriot Act states that any violation of Federal or State law can result in the "enemy combatant" terrorist designation. Once declared an "enemy combatant", SECTION 201 of the second Patriot Act makes it a criminal act for any member of the government or any citizen to release any information concerning the incarceration or whereabouts of detainees. It also states that law enforcement does not even have to tell the press who they have arrested and they never have to release the names. If one part of the Patriot Act(s) aren't applicable, another part can be twisted to make it applicable. Patriot Act is huge, 10 titles, beau coup subtitles. Much like Obama Care, probably not one member of Congress knows everything that's in it. By the time the press actually gets wind of something like Padilla situation, one could have been "detained" for gawd knows how long. Then a legal battle must be mounted to attempt to secure the supposed rights that have already been violated. Remember Jose Padilla, held over a year with no charges filed. They didn't even have to trot out any of the Patriot Act for this one -- just twisted the 6th Amendment. Lawyer is not mandatory until charges are filed, so they simply didn't charge him, just held him. Etc. Give enough ambiguous language and clauses within clauses, like the Patriot Act does, and the gummit can simply act because they interpreted this to mean that, whatever. And there's no real payback if they are eventually overruled. By which time peoples lives are ruined, if not worse. - OS
  5. Nothing has (or likely will) change in Knoxville. All the stores except the two out west already sell guns, as do the ones in the surrounding counties. And like Garufa, I kinda doubt the West Knoxville demographics will induce those two to add guns to their inventory. Maybe they'll add additional lines of rifles than they carry now in the ones that already sell, but kinda doubt that too. - OS
  6. I'm surprised the Range Nazis Marshalls didn't have some rule about taking too long to fire or something, since they have rule about firing too fast. Which is apparently quicker than one shot every 5 seconds. - OS
  7. Well, duh, so did I! Assumed it was after Rodan the monster, feminized the way people name pet possessions, like boats/guns/whatever. Oh "nobody knows everything" Shoot
  8. Both of these have been very comfy: D.M. Bullard Dual Carry: TT Gunleather Slim IWB, Mike's Special: Trouble with custom leather holsters is that they take a long time to get from popular makers. - OS
  9. All the oldest world religions and cultures (pre-Islam) have some commonality of themes which many interpret as evidence of extraterrestrial intervention, and indeed, the notion of a divinity becoming manifest to humans. Overview from Wiki re: Ancient astronauts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And the book that first brought the topic into the layman collective consciousness (although it's at least half faulty research if not downright fraud): Chariots of the Gods? - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Also, History Channel has periodic repeats of Ancient Aliens series. Pretty fascinating stuff, even if one gives it only faint credence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Aliens http://www.history.com/shows/ancient-aliens/episodes/ - OS
  10. Sounds like being crazy has kept us both from going insane. I did my early apprenticeship thereby in San Francisco; year after the Summer of Love, but there was still plenty of everything to go around. - OS
  11. Must not have been the McCoy. - OS
  12. Wow, a bonus...hope ya make it! - OS
  13. My Latin is really rusty, but we'll try to converse anyway. - OS
  14. Good long while ago, somebody copped about a full ammo can of loose 9mm, best I disremember? - OS
  15. Oh, Suntzu, to counteract your bummer of getting ripped off up there, I had an opposite experience recently...had used my ammo can as a base for a Barrett .50 a fellow and his son had up there, I just ran right off without it, they held onto it for me, were gonna track me down through TGO where I had left info, but had actually waited around for an extra good while just in case I came back, which I did. Had all kinds of mags, cylinders, ammo in there, maybe $500-600 bucks worth. - OS
  16. Best Norris thread in some time. - OS
  17. That's good. - OS
  18. I might have married a third time, but could never find another suitable blind lady. - OS
  19. That'll be something to see. My standard one has "satin" 420HC, which isn't even an option in the custom I see. Never seen a black oxide blade on a 110, or a serrated one, either, which are options. I'm not a serrated fan, though. - OS
  20. I think part of the allure is that I've always just wanted to hoard all those huge rounds that cost less than 9mm! - OS
  21. That lurks in back of my mind, seriously part of the reason I've not bought one, even though been tempted numerous times. - OS
  22. Rats. Sounds like I'd like it fine. I think I just felt my Buck 110 wiggle in back pocket. Jealous sucker. - OS
  23. Oh, far out. Please do a show and tell when you get it! I've gone back to carrying a 110 finger groove for some time now. Replaced a long lost one from 30 years ago, love it. Normal production one, though, and they only offer it in one config. Also a Stockman, which also replaces a long lost one. Good for you! - OS
  24. Or Knoxville law, even if they do know TN law. (parks) - OS
  25. Several of us will, too...by 11ish. Look for the old fart that looks like Donald Sutherland. Except plumper. - OS
