  1. Yep, anytime. Military is made in Golden, so that was sort of the final selling point. - OS
  2. That's my feeling. I'd have been carrying something like the Voyager 6 incher all this time if it were legal. Plus I always have a Buck Stockman for "normal" stuff. Amazon lowered price of one model to $117 with the free shipping, so I had to bite. I wavered some on the camo G-10 but finally decided it didn't matter one way or the other to me. Had it sent down to Mom's since knew I was going there soon, and figgered I might miss it; I'll have hands on tomorrow. Tip down carry only with the clip, not my fave, but good chance I'll take the clip off anyway, have with all others I've carried. Although most say with a big handled knife like this, the tip down puts your fingers about where they should be to flip open anyway. 3. Explains why I don't have one yet. Just found out in the other thread, though, really. - OS
  4. Heck, I have a Marlin 1894 in .357, but I still kind of want it. Of course, I kind of want them all. - OS
  5. I'm tempted. Sure do love the .357 round, and am a Rugerite, too. - OS
  6. I got feeling he meant something he can legally carry every day everywhere. I carry several knives at a time daily, but as far as my "main" carry over last 3 years or so, it's been: - Cold Steel Recon 1 - Cold Steel 4" Voyager - Gerber Profile folder - back to traditional with Buck 110 All excellent all around TN legal carry knives. - and just got Spyderco Military, which will actually be the most expensive knife I own. Looking forward to toting this around. Maybe have to still accommodate the Buck somehow, though. - OS
  7. Just got Comcast TV/Net back since 8:30 last night. Some 50,000 customers in KUB area still without power, 125,000 locations out at max last night, which pretty much equaled Hamilton County count during the tornadoes in May. - OS
  8. If it creates a new money stream, it will be used/abused, simple as that. - OS
  9. Not necessarily. That's a totally separate issue Wisc. has to decide. - OS
  10. Wow, such drama. I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that along with electricity, automobiles, and shoes, middle Tennesseans also can get cashier checks. - OS
  11. Sounds reasonable. Could also just be to prove that it's a dummy round, maybe requirement at knife show or something? - OS
  12. Umm, which one besides Regions? - OS
  13. Some do for some guns. More available in Kydex than leather, since it's generally easier to work with for odd shapes. - OS
  14. Far as I know, it doesn't even apply to criminals anymore, as it is no longer a separate offense to carry there. - OS
  15. That's all they're made in. (although you can shoot .22 long or .22 short in them ) - OS
  16. There's never been case law on it to my knowledge. Likely our seemingly anti-gun AG would opine that it's not. But logically, if it's unposted city property, it would be legal. (my opinion, IANAL). - OS
  17. It's the old signs that TN ABC required. Use no longer mandated by TCA, but there is anecdotal evidence that some ABC agents still tell store owners that they are. Never did have anything to do with HCP folks. - OS edit: wow, I wondered by my ear was itching, Erik.
  18. Oh Shoot

    XD guys

Probably Tucker's "The Answer". Then, I guess Comp-Tac as far as big producer. I find it ironic that Crossbreed put legal pressure on Kholster to change it's design (that's why they now come "round"), since CB was already down the list of original innovation. - OS
  19. I'll say this, it can be quite messy trying to "reply with quote" posts like Dave's pasted from a word processing program, since all the font tags show in vBulletin editor, especially if trying to excise some of the original without getting some unintended font results. For example, Dave's first post in this thread (using image since vBulletin parses the tags once it's entered and doesn't show them - using word wrap to make more readable): - OS
  20. Ever seen them being worked on? Who was working on them? Are there any parking meters? If so, are they city ones? Those are clues. Or do some research as per JayC's suggestion. Almost certainly, any of the through streets are owned and maintained by the city. If you think about it, would just about have to be, since all the main water/electrical/sewer/storm drains, etc. are under them. Again, this doesn't help someone who has to actually step off the street-side sidewalks to interact with the campus, though. And I certainly don't tempt fate by open carrying on those streets, either. - OS
  21. Little late now, but if you enter TGO at: http://tngunowners.com/forums or http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum.php rather than the base URL, it will probably work. - OS
  22. So, how did they even know you had it? What's rest of story? - OS
  23. Don't know about MTSU, but at UTK all the through streets and sidewalks on those streets are Knoxville City property. Doesn't figure in much for students/staff/faculty, but significant distinction if one is just walking around or through campus. - OS
  24. That's really much too much communication regarding this matter. None of the Usual Suspects showed any interest for the weekend, plus I've gotten into watching young Rory eat up the field at the US Open. - OS
  25. Working as of now, both homepage and forum - OS
