  1. I am sooo hoping that this uncovers proof that Holder knew, or even if he didn't, he has certainly been stonewalling since it broke. Which means Barack has too. Which is how Nixon was forced out before an inevitable impeachment. - OS
  2. No, you can carry in accordance with laws of the state in which the park resides. For example, anyone can open carry in the North Carolina part of the Smokies with no permit at all. Or carry openly OR concealed without permit in Arizona and Alaska parks, etc. I have read that in some parks out west you can carry a loaded long gun without permit, too. - OS
  3. Good thing this is the "Limited Fall Edition", postal lady couldn't have lifted an "Unabridged Fall Edition". - OS
  4. While claiming the entire time that Evil American Gun Nuts are supplying all those weapons on their own through The Gun Show Loophole. - OS
  5. As I'm sure you know, Tim Thurner (TT Gunleather) designed them and I love my IWB from him (avatar). He also must think they are aces, since he sells them through his own site also: TT GunLeather High Quality Leather Gun Holsters TT GunLeather High Quality Leather Gun Holsters Good to hear your positive take on those. If I find I need another, I may well grab one of the Strongholds, since they ship quickly, while Tim's stuff is still at least four months or more out. - OS
  6. What was the subject? - OS
  7. Well, is there a firearm part that can NOT fail? - OS
  8. Carrying was not addressed at all in either Heller or McDonald. Obviously because SCOTUS intends this to be left to state discretion. - OS
  9. Assume you mean the largest, the Mule 3050. 38.76 w/ free shipping: Amazon.com: Ka-Bar 2-3050-9 Mule Field Folder Knife: Sports & Outdoors Taiwan made, if that matters. Probably better than my Chinese Ka-Bar K-2, and actually it's helluva blade, especially since I paid the princely sum of 12 clams! - OS
  10. Btw, Lester, meant to mention: you really have 60 posts per page option? 40 is max I see. - OS
  11. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/59462-child-killer.html also corrupted in same way. edit: more info: Set for max 40 per page, can't see page 2 set for forum default of 10, can't see page 2 but can see all the rest of the 7. Bizarre, last report on the prob. - OS
  12. He has stated that he's going to change the forum software package at some point - no more vBulletin. It will look entirely different when that occurs. - OS
  13. Sure you're entering last name in correct (first) field? - OS
  14. Well, news to me, I just never heard of that prob, and I used to haunt the Marlin forum. I mean, it's the same safety that Remington has used since gawd knows when on rifles and shotguns and Marlin since '83 on the lever actions. - OS
  15. As a shrink friend of mine used to say, "People. They're the worst." And is really IS "The United States of Entertainment". - OS
  16. She'll probably be a multi-millionaire within a year. Without working a steady gig. Hell, she's already been paid over 200 grand for rights to photos and whatnot. - OS
  17. "public records include permits issued before March 8, 2011, and valid as of today" (it's periodically updated) - OS
  18. Don't use dialog through pic icon put URL in, starting with http:// Then manually type tags on each end - OS
  19. In ways you may have not considered, she'll likely make plenty of money. She's a celebrity now ... America has a very twisted way of rewarding even celebrities they hate with money in one way or the other. As Bernie Goldberg puts it on O'Reilly, "We live in the United States of Entertainment." - OS
  20. Saw announcement, David, didn't see how this was a server issue. Nor this format layout wackiness in the Handgun Carry forum only: Then again, if you dump vBulletin altogether with hosting change, I see it will be eventually moot. In meantime, thought you might want to have all the software glitches "on file". Like others, I certainly express my gratitude for your ongoing efforts! And I just re-upped Benefactor Status to help support it. - OS
  21. Well that would be safest of course to avoid any possible hassle, but to be precise, federal law begins the statute begins with "Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof..." and does not call for firearm itself to be cased, but rather, the ammo must be in certain situations. Federal "safe passage" law verbatim: "TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 44 > § 926A Interstate transportation of firearms Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for any lawful purpose from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle: Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver’s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console." - OS
  22. You've been able to pass through as per federal law since 1986. - OS
  23. Here's a thread from 2008 where Mark (Crossbreed and XD Talk owner) chimes in re the smell: http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/crossbreed-holsters/81167-crossbreed-belt-fish-smell.html - OS
  24. Agree the half cock is sufficient on lever guns that have it. But TNWNGR was comparing cross bolt vs tang, hence my question. - OS
