  1. TNDOS site updated to include Washington. Handgun Carry Permit Reciprocity Information That makes 38 states can carry in, soon 39 as far as we know (Wisconsin). Again, great job, FG!! - OS
  2. Not my gear. Try to keep up with thread. - OS
  3. You don't consider CPM S30V a "stainless steel"? - OS
  4. National Cathedral had damage to some gargoyles or something and some structural cracks. - OS
  5. "No honest man needs over 10 rounds in any gun". - OS
  6. From physics viewpoint, the 9mm can't be as accurate, but you'd have to lock it down on a bench to prove it, and it would not be significant short of a crack tourney shooter, methinks. Can tell you that .38 and 9mm feel about like shooting .22 magnum through a Single Six, recoil wise. Anyway, I love mine (it's the 4.5" model) -- it and the Marlin .357 are great mates. - OS
  7. Here are the pix: - OS
  8. Yeah, it really is more of a classic firearms collector's type show. Even though I'm not one, I really enjoyed it last year. Gonna be out of town though, can't make it this year. - OS
  9. What is The Big Guy thinking? The pols, including the president, are all out of town! - OS
  10. A beauty. I also have a Blackhawk .357/9mm, very versatile gun. Maybe I should add the .45 for EOTWAWKI, too. - OS
  11. Far out. Sure, put me in the rotation, coach. I've actually never handled any Zero Tolerance. - OS
  12. To repeat what buck1032 is saying, you must register on whiteblaze to see attachments. If you had put the images inline (the only way to do pix on TGO) we could see them. If you want to email them to me, I'll post them in this thread. I PM'd you my email addy. - OS
  13. URL link from hell aside, "This video either has been removed from Facebook or is not visible due to privacy settings." - OS
  14. (re Meyerco Law Dog) If you are, might oughtta go ahead and grab one, I only found 2 or 3 places that actually still have them. Only one on eBay, even. I used BladeHQ: Meyerco Blackie Collins Law Dog Knife w/ Neck Sheath (2.25" Black Plain) - Blade HQ Sheath didn't retain well enough to suit me, so I heated it some and smushed it here and there to hold better. But beware, it's thermoplastic of some sort, not kydex, and I actually melted a bit on the edge right off. I did get it to hold pretty well, but it's thicker than optimum. At any rate, as I mentioned, though, I sent off to have a good kydex sheath made for it, which costs slightly more than the knife itself. That's the dirty little secret about neck knives -- the sheath is as important as the dang knife. - OS
  15. 'preciate that, but I don't expect to be particularly worried about it, it'll come around on the guitar eventually I reckon. I don't know that I'll even ever carry it, just wanted to "experience" it. I must say, it has great feel in the hand, an overall excellent blade shape, very light, and sharp as sweet bejesus. It's just that the highly touted wonderful flip, wasn't. I only have a few other flippers, a CRKT, a couple of Bucks, and a SRM, but I can work them all very well, so wasn't technique. I was stubborn, though, my index finger pad was sore for days after fooling with it. Consensus seemed to be that the detente ball or groove was out of spec, so didn't hold it firmly enough for it to pop out with enough force when you override it with finger. Or something. Course, could partially open it and snap wrist, and all was well, but that wasn't really the idea of the thing. - OS
  16. Well, at least he is a mighty poacher (um, I mean "hunter"). That "high fence hunting" thing must be quite the challenge, too. - OS
  17. Same prob with the Skyline, couldn't really get it to flip at all, just a wimpy half deploy; adjusted tension every which way, wouldn't even flip once blade was loose enough to wooble, oiled, even took it apart, tweaked liner tension etc. The Kershaw gurus on BladeForums said send it in, probably detente or something out of spec. Probably gonna be 6 or 8 weeks though. I just bought it on a lark mostly, as didn't own a Kershaw of any kind, and everybody raved for so long about how great the Skyline is for the bucks. I'm on the edges of most all bell curves in life, though, so doesn't surprise me much. - OS
  18. No diff from PayPal. - OS
  19. Saying it's great to bet your life on at home without ever having shot it is quite a leap of faith, methinks. - OS
  20. Looks like same restrictions as PayPal re gun stuff: "You may not use the Paymate service for activities that: 2. relate to sales of ...(h) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (i) ,certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law ..." - OS
  21. Sure it does. Unscrew the transmission fill cover knob thingie poo (tech term). - OS
  22. Always $149.99 there for the C9. Usually can't even find them at a gun store, and certainly for that price. - OS
  23. Well, since you mentioned it first... Seriously, though, I honestly don't remember shooting the SP that session, only the LCR, was just judging on general impression of my having shot the SP so much. - OS
  24. 2 1/4", DAO. Snakeshot, in any handgun caliber, is generally much overrated IMHO. Maybe a snake from horseback, maybe not even. One of the .410 shooters certainly better for that. - OS
